Located on the third floor of Eataly Boston, Terra is a unique restaurant inspired by earth and fire. The dining room centers around a wood-burning Italian grill, where Executive Chef Dan Bazzinotti cooks raw ingredients over burning flames, allowing the simple flavors to shine.

In every earthy dish, the fire’s smoked warmth rekindles our fundamental connection to the elements. Plentiful and playful, the grilled plates are perfect to share around the restaurant"s rustic tables, especially when paired with seasonal drinks.

Terra’s ever-changing beverage menu includes herb-infused cocktails, rare wine terroirs, and barrel-aged beers.

Service is very attentive and friendly, but the quality of the food is uneven. My starter (roasted beets) was very good, the main dish (rabbit agnolotti) was so-so, and the dessert (rum baba) was sub-optimal - the pastry was cold and stale. Overall, I’d say the experience does not justify the price and I don’t think I will be back.

If you want to dine in a high energy place with nice, Tuscan style decor and a big, bustling bar surrounding an open grill, this is your place. The food was hot or miss, though. Oysters, cheese board and dessert were excellent. Bread and pasta was just ok.

Amazing experience! They accommodated 2 out of 5 of the group showing up much earlier than the rest. The service was great, thank you Nicholas! Also, the manager sent over bombolonis at the end and was so kind. Everyone was super friendly. It was great. Will definitely come again! The food also rocked.

The waiter -- a tall silver haired man -- seemed insulted that we wanted tap water instead of wine or any other drinks. He kept filling our water glasses carelessly throughout the meal, spilling water on our hands, the table, and the floor each time he poured. The first time it happened , we noticed but then ignored it. However, the second, third, and fourth times were annoying and seemed intentional. The decibel level is too high for a congenial luncheon. The pasta was good but not outstanding. We won't be back.

The ambience was very nice. The food is eclectic. I personally didn't like it, but it may be appealing to a lot of others. However the rest of the experience was good. The plants, the service. A must to check out at least once for sure.

Pros:
Cool venue!
Food was pretty good- the chicken was amazing but it is only a plate of chicken. For dessert, the bombolone were really good!

Cons:
AWFUL service.
-We waited 20 minutes for our table (We had a reservation). 10 minutes into waiting the hostess called my phone to ask if we were coming for our table (while we were standing 5 feet from her). We still had to wait after she called.
-The wait staff was not very attentive, we had to get the waiters attention for everything (to order drinks, to order food, for water, for the dessert menu, for the check).. it was painful.

Overall experience was excellent. But the drinks outshined the food and for the price I would have given 5 stars if the food was more impressive. It was what we expected for going to a nice place to eat but not special. The atmosphere was very nice, a little tight but it made it cozy. The service is excellent.

Overall it was really just OK. It was expensive for what it was. We have no problem dropping serious money at nice Boston restaurants but usually feel we get good value. The food here was just average. Many of the menu items were very unusual which can be a good thing to try something new, but they lacked enough typical things for the less adventurous. Portions were very small. It was expensive for literally 3 bites of sausage, and I mean bites, all together about 1 oz of sausage. I got a special where is was suposed to be a sampling of different cuts of beef. It was cooked the right temperature but all the cuts were tough. The charcuterie board was decent but at the price for it I was not overly impressed. I get a much better board for about half at Amelia's in Stoughton. The hostess had a bit if an attitude. The server did a good job. It was worth trying and I am not sad I went but I would not try it again.

Terra never disappoints! It was a very good overall experience in all departments, I would have given 5 star for the service except for the Hostess who was not very welcoming or on par when compared to rest of the staff who were exceptional. Special mention to the waiting staff, whose Italian sounding accent added to the experience. Food was on time and delicious. For a Thursday evening, the place was buzzing with good energy. In summary, my date was very happy!

We arrived early for our reservation and enjoyed a drink at the bar. There were lots of varied options Including seasonal cocktails. Our server was friendly and knowledgeable, providing recommendations for sides. We had the charcuterie board, waygu steak and some skewers. The board could have been a meal in itself and we were too full for dessert by the end of the meal. Overall we enjoyed our stay and plan to visit again.

Having been to Terra before I was excited about my visit this time around. Unfortunately, the experience was nothing like my first and I'd be hesitant to go back. The service seemed rushed, the food was a bit bland, and just overall a mediocre experience.

Table was so crowded with servers moving on all sides of us we could hardly eat. Loud and distracting patrons. Food so-so. Drinks (seltzer) took 20 minutes to arrive.

We loved the atmosphere of Terra. The wood grill skewers were awesome. Service was a bit slow but we were also ridiculously hungry so that amplified it tenfold. The Alaskan crab legs were yummy. The disappointment was the seafood risotto. First bite into the mussel and it was sandy, then came the watery risotto - we sent it back and they took it off the bill. Overall a good experience and would suggest for a fun dining experience.
