Terra at Eataly Boston
Located on the third floor of Eataly Boston, Terra is a unique restaurant inspired by earth and fire. The dining room centers around a wood-burning Italian grill, where Executive Chef Dan Bazzinotti cooks raw ingredients over burning flames, allowing the simple flavors to shine.
In every earthy dish, the fire’s smoked warmth rekindles our fundamental connection to the elements. Plentiful and playful, the grilled plates are perfect to share around the restaurant"s rustic tables, especially when paired with seasonal drinks.
Terra’s ever-changing beverage menu includes herb-infused cocktails, rare wine terroirs, and barrel-aged beers.

Great staff, and patient since our party was highly undecisive. My partner order the porkchop which was huge, but he managed to finish it. The combination of sweet, from the baked apple, and the savory brine was great. I selected the special duck, which was really well cooked and flavorful, easily coming off the bone, well complemented by the macadamia nuts. The fried potatoes were crispy, and delicious. The two misses were the fried items: the arancini and the chicken Milanese were too darkly hued; my preference is lightly golden rather than brown. The arancini did not have enough or a strong taste. We will return but stray for those. Dessert was a tiramisu that was on the dense side, and the gelati trio was delectable, particularly the pistachio and the tart lemon.
Seated 20 minutes after reservation time.
People that know me, know I like food and I like to cook. When I walked into Terra I knew I was in for something special. Chef Dan’s crew did an amazing job from the moment we entered to when we left. The food was just what I was looking for. Reminded me of my Grampa’s cooking just on another level. I look forward to going back many times
excellent except noise level is tough- and this is during covid when restaurant not full. Good to go with a friend but if a full table, you won't be able to hear people not next or across from you.
Service took a long time to bring us beers ( he forgot), and then the beers were warm.
Portion of food is to small/pricey comparing with another 5 starts Italian restaurants in Boston.
At the end the server Threw a ice cream with a candle on the table, without let me know or coordinate something.. it s was so awkward .. supposed to be a little cute surprise to my friend .
Ambience is beautiful, noise was fine, they have nice music, parking is a plus.
But not coming back ..
My 15 year old and I had the best lunch. It was prompt and delicious. The servers were fantastic!
Birthday lunch date with my man
Amazing experience as always! Great food, great service.
The service was amazing, Gabo was great and made our experience wonderful. The food, wine, drinks, dessert were all spectacular. We can't wait to return. We have a 3 hour lunch!
We enjoyed our meal at Terra very much. The wines by the glass were lovely, as was the Italian beer selection. We loved the garden feel of the space. Our waiter was fantastic - he was very knowledgeable about the menu, had helpful opinions to guide us with some unfamiliar items, and was kindly considerate of our 12 year old daughter.
I would recommend Terra - the combination of wandering through Eataly, & shopping, and then having a delicious, relaxing meal was really the experience we were looking for...
Great Valentines day dinner. Food was good, especially the porter house steak. Drinks and wine did not disappoint either. Always a great experience here from the morning you step into this restaurant to when you leave
Sat at the counter for a Valentines Day meal. Good sanitation compliance. Great food, as always -- love all the wood-fired flavors.
The hostess could have actually been friendly. It fell like she was doing us a favor (when we even had a reservations). Waiters were great! Food was overpriced for what it was.
Food & wine is top notch. Can't beat the views out of the glass roof!
We love it here, especially the first reservation at the counter - it feels very safe in the era of COVID. The food is excellent and great wines too! The staff is wonderful, and watching the line and grill action from the counter seating is pure joy. We will continue to return.
Outstanding food and wine and very good service. Tables are kept at safe distance from each other, and noise level is low to moderate. Great place for a date.
Nice place friendly staff jusy was not a big fan of menu they offered no meat to go with your pasta
Portion sizes are small and pates are expensive. However, amazing food.
The atmosphere and decorations were top. Really amazing location and it is inside Eataly. But the food was grossly over priced and not worth it. Maybe it was the chef on that day or maybe it was the ingredients but the taste was underwhelming. The pasta tasted dried and too salty. Not freshly made. The burrata was too milky. The waiter was excellent
The food just did not hit the mark. The cocktails were too sweet
Great overall experience! Restaurant was beautiful and very clean! Service was okay. Our server didn’t talk much, didn’t tell us his name and just felt like he wanted us to eat and leave.
Food was delicious but a bit pricey.
We went to e
Waiter not very friendly.
Great food, great experience, great service
Totally Covid comfortable. My 2nd time in two weeks. I will definitely return!
Terrific service, good advice. My friend and I shared everything except dessert and loved the food. She particularly liked the Italian coke (not a drinker.)
Small portions and took too long to bring food.
We had a great meal and the service was excellent. Recommend the gnocchi and the Brussel Sprouts they were amazing.
Food wasn’t really worth the price but the ambiance is amazing and certainly makes up for it
Great social distance environment, and great food.
We went for my boyfriends birthday and had so much fun!! The wine was delicious and the Grand Tagliere divine. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Boston because of how unique it was.
A wonderful escape from today's world! Delicious food and you feel like you have travelled!
It is beautiful inside and decorated very nicely however our service was poor and didn’t feel as if our food was worth the money.
Fantastic. Not inexpensive mind you (Probably looking at $75-100 a head easy) but you know where it went when you take your first bite. Friendly staff, extensive drink selection and they're handling COVID precautions very well.
Server, who was also bartender, was excellent. Well informed and so nice. Food was delicious and drinks were outstanding.
great dinner. a tad expensive but the service was great
Alway a lovely experience, ambience is great and food is incredible! Staff really awesome! Love Terra!
I know the mask and social distancing has severely influenced the restaurants everywhere. But I feel as though everywhere we go we are treated like we have the plague. It is too much. To the point where we dont even feel like going out anymore. It is not enjoyable. I understand restaurants are following the so called "guidelines" but you know as well as me every worker takes their mask off with those who they work with after hours or behind closed doors. I have seen it first hand. But yet each patron is treated like an infected bag of bacteria. We were told we had to put our mask on in between bites of food and when the server approached out table. I dont think so. Not happening. That is where we draw the line. People are letting this dictate their lives and it is really sad. Unfortunately Terra was to the extreme on the guidelines. Sorry.
It was a nice, pleasant atmosphere. Food was good as expected. This was the first time we ate at Terra but have been to Eataly a few times in the past and it never disappoints.
Awesome food and service. Excellent covid 19 protocols.
My daughter & I made a reservation for lunch (1:45) but were given the dinner menu (w/ dinner prices) and lunch-size portions. The choices were very limited, which I understand due to COVID, but were disappointing. Our entrees were OK, but I expected more from such a prestigious venue. Our server, however, was very attentive and friendly.
