Terra at Eataly Boston
Located on the third floor of Eataly Boston, Terra is a unique restaurant inspired by earth and fire. The dining room centers around a wood-burning Italian grill, where Executive Chef Dan Bazzinotti cooks raw ingredients over burning flames, allowing the simple flavors to shine.
In every earthy dish, the fire’s smoked warmth rekindles our fundamental connection to the elements. Plentiful and playful, the grilled plates are perfect to share around the restaurant"s rustic tables, especially when paired with seasonal drinks.

Great food, outstanding service, friendly staff, great atmosphere. Recommend for date night as well as group outings.
Wonderful first time! Went for mothers day -- we were late and they still accommodated us! Highly recommend
It was an amazing experience to celebrate Mother’s Day with my family
wonderful place ❤️
Great night at Terra. All the food was exceptional. Sat at the counter and watched the kitchen team cook all night. I love it when I learned something and the staff were super knowledgeable about each dish. Great wine offerings. Just a really high energy, fun night. So wonderful!
We really enjoyed our lunch at Terra today. I definitely would recommend starting with the cheese plate. We didn’t get that today, and I missed it dearly! We got the arancini and the gulf shrimp starters, which were OK but nothing that blew my mind. However, the main meal definitely stole the show. My mother had the grilled chicken and spring vegetables. Very healthy portions so she took half of it home. I had the rigatoni alla Napoletana, which was delicious and so filling! The pork and veal ragu in the pasta hit the spot. I had a glass of the Vespa Bianca 2016 and I would go back solely for that glass of wine!
The restaurant is upstairs from the main store, surrounded by plants with a greenhouse feel. There are section walls set up for social distancing but they are pretty, decorated walls so you don’t feel like you’re in a plastic fishbowl. We felt very safe and distanced from the other diners. The waitstaff wore masks the entire time and they had a 90 minute table limit for all diners. All in all, I highly recommend dining at Terra if you live in the area!
Very good authentic Italian food. The service was great.
We sat at the counter and had a wonderful evening watching the kitchen work their magic. Service was excellent and created a fun yet excellent foodie experience. Highly recommend!
Had a delicious lunch here with group of five. Service was friendly and professional - great food recs from waiter. Enjoyed grand cheese board which was outstanding. Also loved the chickpea fritters, grilled octopus, beet salad. Nice ambience - open space with lots of natural light.
We arrived on time for our reservation, we were told it would be a few minutes, they were just waiting for the party to finishup and pay their check. About 15/20 minutes later, we were told that our seating was not available yet. Then the hostess checked back again in about 5-10 minutes to see if we wanted table dining instead of the counter. That was fine since we were hungry by this point.
We informed the waiter that we were going to split a couple of dishes, when the pasta arrived, they didn't bring plates that we could use to split the dish, he also didn't bring spoons to eat the pasta with. We had to ask for extra plates twice, I was just glad that the food wasn't cold by the time the extra plates and spoons arrived.
The food was good but wasn't fantastic, but I don't think I would be back due to the poor service
The food was INCREDIBLE!
The rabbit agnolotti was to die for.
A little too pricey for the portions on the appetizers. A little too loud.
The only service complaint is that it felt a bit rushed, they were looking to have the entirety of your order right off the bat, which is offputting, although this may be due to COVID issues re: timed reservations etc.
Great afternoon spot.
It was wonderful, the food was delicious and the drinks too!
Small portions, high prices, limited choices, not high quality Italian fare. Atmpshpere and service was good. Unimpressed with food.
4 people experimented with 2 mains and 5-6 appetizers, tapas style Very nice. Open atmosphere, almost like outside -- appropriate at this time.
The food was absolutely to die for. I took a recommendation from one of the servers and was not disappointed! Great aesthetic as well.
Very old friends
We had a great dinner at Terra. Food and service were outstanding. Hostess and manager were friendly and accommodating. Our server was great...charming, knowledgable, and set a good pace throughout dinner. Highly recommend the cheese board, grilled fish, and any of their pastas. We found portion sizes to be ample and did not leave hungry. Martinis and wines were superb! Yes, it is expensive but it's worth it for the food, service and ambience. We will return.
you can count on this place for excellent and inventive food, 100% of the time. Service is superior as well. We have never not had an outstanding meal here.
The place is well located and the restaurant decorations is beautiful but the food is overpriced
Nice space but food was overpriced and the server pushed the more expensive steak entree which was very fatty and had very little flavor. For $55 an entree it should have been better. Will stick to Capital Grill for steak entrees. Server didn't seem like he liked his job and was not enthusiastic about being there. Will probably not return
Wow Max our server was top of the top!!
So knowledgeable about each item on the menu! If you go to Terra request him and he’ll change your dining experience on a whole other level!
Great service and food was ready relatively quick. The ambiance was lovley and the restaurant was beautiful. Unfortunately during covid and the table separators make it so hard to see the beauty of the terrace. But overall the food was great and would definitely recommend.
Disappointed that I had to stand and wait for 20+ minutes for my reservation because the staff didn't seem to have control of the crowd and the front of house hostesses was really rude. Appreciated the complimentary drink as a consolation but the girl working the front desk needs to learn some manners. I'll eventually go back but I won't rush.
I arrived early for our reservation. I couldn’t be seated until my partner was present. No problem. I walked around downstairs. We returned at our reservation time. We were seated in a cubicle near the bar. There was another couple doing a specialty menu next to us which was kind of odd. We were pretty close to them but could not see any of the restaurant. It felt like an office space. I had a view of the bartender mixing drinks. I asked my partner if he wanted to leave. He wanted to stick it out. The food was as to be expected. Service was excellent.
The hostess staff confirmed our reservation by phone earlier in the week. I wish they had been more honest regarding seating.
We had reservations at Terra on a Wednesday night. We had a 530 reservation but arrived early and were promptly seated, so nice to not have to wait around. The atmosphere and food were incredible. It was amazing to watch the chefs prepare such a variety of food over the open fires. Although we found drinks a little pricey it would not keep us from returning.
Extremely overpriced, undercooked pasta, tiny portions. I won't be back.
Great spot. Good vibes and excellent simple Italian dishes. All well executed. Perfect for a sunny lunch with the skylights.
Disappointed in the food. Steak was not tender and lamb chops were mostly fat. Service was good. Not worth the price.
Found a strand of hair in our gnocchi.
Been here before and it definitely was better quality and price. Now it’s exorbitant for a tiny portion.
Drinks were good.
Waiter didn’t apologize for the strand of hair
We were looking forward to the dinner but were quite disappointed. The whole fish was pretty bad - we tried but nobody could eat it. . The $40 t-bone was so-so. We asked to replace the spaghetti dish with tagliatelle and they said they definitely would. They never did & when we asked why, the waiter insisted that the spaghetti they gave us was tagliatelle. Three of us know Italian food very well and it truly was insulting to be told a spaghetti is a tagliatelle. but we decided to let it go. It really was not worth half the $$$ we paid.
The appetizers & some of the food were good. We do not plan to go back
The pasta dishes were a bit oily for my preference. Expected a lot better quality TBH.
Portions were very small for the small plates but delicious. We spent $55 per person for lunch and still felt hungry. Anyway it was a nice experience but wouldn’t hurry back.
Excellent all around!
Overpriced & Food was Good not Great
The scenery inside of the restaurant was incredible. Waiter was extremely nice and friendly. Food was great.
The food is expensive and so is the drink but the quality was there for sure. It was a huge disappointment to wait 35 minutes past my reservation time. In normal times, late afternoon reservations (330pm) are booked to be able to make it to your evening plans. I didn't have anywhere to go after, but it was just uncomfortable to wait in Eataly for the first 10 minutes (original quote from the hostess) and again wait another 20 min lingering behind the host stand. I understand tables linger in a place that is basically serving alot of tapas options, but the host and manager did absolutely nothing for us, no concession no apology for the 30 min wait. We were offered bar seating but we were 2 short ladies, wanting to nosh and chat- not dangle our short girl legs with our barstools turned towards one another. the food and service was outstanding. we loved the prosciutto app, the warm lettuce salad, the burrata and the short rib special. Will be back, will make earlier reservations to avoid the wait.
When you go (and you should) sit in front of the wood fired grill at the Chef's Bar so you can watch the action. Smooth operation, wonderfully fresh and aromatic meats, cheeses and seafood. Blood sausages crumble in the mouth like cake and taste fantastic. Great service--ask for Maggie; she effortlessly serves as well as shares with you her faves and ends the night like you made a brand new friend. Go. Eat. Here.
The staff are so accommodating and provide incredible help in navigating the menu...And the food is phenomenal!!! It is always constantly awesome!!!
This was one of the greatest experiences I’ve ever had at a restaurant. The drinks were so innovative and delicious, the food was absolutely Devine.
