This is our third time at Terra and Vine. We love it more and more each time. We split the Chicken Marsala (special) and Poached Pear Salad
Very poor service waited almost an hour for our food. Food was very salty and not very good
Great place, however the food could have been better. Fish was way to cooked, pasta was just normal. Basically expensive food with okay quality. Wine was great!
Who knew that roasted cauliflower could be so good?! Served on a bed of goat cheese, with crisp brussel sprout leaves -- it's just delicious! Pastas were also good. The wine menu is much more interesting than at similar restaurants. A wonderful prelude to a movie next door.
A wonderful addition to Evanston's already excellent food scene. Alpana Singh has put together a wonderful restaurant and bar with of course an excellent wine list. Excellent staff as well. One of our "go to" restaurants.
I’ve been here twice - once outside in May and one inside in November. Really wonderful service and amazing food! Very pretty outside and inside. They have plenty of options but not so many that it’s overwhelming. A huge gluten-free menu with amazing gluten free pasta.
The restaurant was empty when we arrived at 4:30...only one other table being occupied. They sat us at a two top in the corner! We barely had room for our food and wine bottle on the table. Absolutely ridiculous!
This is our second visit at T&V and we can say that service, food and ambiance are getting better. We had the calamari and paperdelle mushroom for appetizers. They had Chicken Parmegian Special that night and we shared the plate.
We paired our entree with a bottle of red blend. The service they always give was on point. We will be back to try their brunch menu. 🙌
Poor service and food was underwhelming. They wanted to close early as nobody else was in the restaurant, so our party was asked to leave *before* closing. When I initially called to confirm the reservation the day of, they would not confirm the closing time that is noted on Google and Yelp.
Overall a disappointment. We started with 2 glasses of wine off of the special menu. Both of the wines were bland and boring. The brussel sprout crostini appetizer was decent with perfectly crispy brussel sprouts. The meatballs with polenta were flavorless and had a bad rubbery and grisly texture, luckily the creamy polenta texture made up for it. Then we split the salmon. It was overcooked and had both a fishy taste and smell to it. Not typical of a good piece of fish. We wanted to try something new in Evanston and love Alpana Singh so had high hopes....all of which were dashed throughout our meal. The service was good, but that doesn't make up for the poor food and wine quality.
Very welcoming staff and great, quiet Sunday dinner
An after theater dinner.
The restaurant was quite cold due to wind from outside. Pizzette had a soft crust even tho cooked in an open oven .
Wine selection was excellent as I would expect from Alpana Singh.
Consistently delicious food, fantastic wine and great for a night of celebration!
Service from the manager to the wait staff was a candidate for the worst that I ever had experienced. Management needs to sell and allow a competent owner to run this place since it is near our residence and we enjoy eating out.
One of our fav places to go for “dinner and a movie”. Always nice selection of wines. Food always good. Staff great — make sure get to your movie on time
Excellent place! Highly recommend
Great choices for vegetarians, this is our second time going here and it was very good both times
Great food. Great service. But cold inside. Need to enclose revolving door entrance
We had a great experience! The food and presentation were awesome as was the service. We loved it! Best meal I've had in a long time!
This was our first time there. We will definitely go back.
Great food, Great wine, Great service! We will be back again!
Excellent food and very friendly staff.
Repeat visit. Great for a friends' get together. Enjoyed the food, beer/wine, and dessert. Yum rating.
Had a terrific Brunch. Great service. Terrific value. Fun drinks and menu selection for a group of 6 where half wanted breakfast foods and the others wanted lunch. Would definitely recommend for groups or just a couple wanting to get out for an exceptional dining experience.
Meh. Service was fine, food was over cooked and bland.
We lucked into finding Terra & Vine shortly after it opened. It remains one of our favorite places for dinner in the area.
The pork special was very creative.
Super convenient when going to the movies. I told them we were pressed for time and they brought food very fast.
T & V delivers consistently good dinners. Their fish specials are delicate & delicious. The cauliflower appetizer (or entree) is a staple. You can’t go wrong with the pasta dishes or the meatball appetizer. I can go on and on about the food, service and wine list. This restaurant never disappoints.
We first went to Terra and Vine the previous week. The meal that night was outstanding. When we were in Evanston the following week, we decided to be unoriginal and do a repeat performance again. It was so worth it!
This place has a good lunch menu but the dinner experience was not up to par. They have no dinner salad, so the salad I ordered was 3x too big and not very tasty either. My entree was ordinary and my friend's order was not correct and had to be sent back and changed to the correct order. Disappointing.
First visit. Meeting a friend for brunch. Excellent service. Awesome cocktails. Will be back. For sure.
It is obvious that your restaurant appeals to a young drinking crowd. I was astonished not to find more interesting menu selections, I w as with a couple of f riends who were disappointed by the food (she didn't like the fish) and his mussels were miniscule. The salad with poached pairs was OK, but should have had more varied ingredien ts. We will not eat there again.
Great food and our waiter Gio was great! We tried several appetizers and they were delicious! I highly recommend the mussels. Divine!
One note-he recommended the cauliflower dish - a specialty of the house - but it was only available as an entree. Perhaps they should make it available as an appetizer.
Took my son to Terra and Vine while up visiting him at Northwestern. Our meal was excellent! We started with calamari and salads. I had the short ribs. They were amazing. My son had chicken Marsala which he said was also great. I highly recommend Terra and Vine if you are looking for great food in Evanston.
We had a great lunch! Looking forward to coming back for dinner soon
Staff was outstanding. Our server was busy with a few tables but still stopped to do a meet and greet and let us know she’d be right with us. Took our drink order right a way and was back for our appetizer and entree order. She was great. The food was outstanding and among the best dishes my wife and I have ever eaten. She had the Chicken Marsala special, and I had the Rigatoni. Can’t wait to have a good excuse to go to Evanston and eat there again.
Excellent food and service.
Having made a reservation, we were seated promptly. A group of 5 ahead of us was turned away, not having made a reservation.
We were a party of 4. We ordered the cauliflower entrée as an appetizer. While we all enjoyed the food, I think the cauliflower dish, while very tasty, would not serve as an entrée and was overpriced.
On the whole, it was an enjoyable experience and I would return.
We lived it. The food and service were outstanding
The food was excellent, nice size portions, just the right amount, seasonal vegetables, attentive service, no rushing people out (the restaurant was barely ½ full), overall a satisfying experience. The only downside: the excessive, repetitious, monotonous "music": THUMP-thump-thump, THUMP-thump-thump, THUMP-thump-thump during the entire 2 ½ hours we were there. There were 2 of us, maybe a large group wouldn't notice it, but we sure did. Please, 1) turn it down, and 2) have nicer music, say mellow classical jazz.
