A culinary collaboration between Tequila Comida & Cantina and Marina Grill, infusing the vibrant flavors of Mexico into the heart of Wilmington’s waterfront. Established in 2018 by Chef Ramon Villasenor and Miguel Villasenor, Tequila Comida & Cantina has teamed up with Marina Grill to create an exceptional dining experience.

Nestled beside the Riverfront Park and boasting an extraordinary view of the Riverfront Marina, Tequila’s Waterfront offers a unique setting. Our spacious outdoor area is the perfect spot to enjoy live music during the summer months. Located next door to the Riverfront Park, home to the Live Oak Pavilion, an outdoor amphitheater hosting open-air concerts and entertainment, we invite you to savor the magic of Mexican cuisine amid cultural warmth and breathtaking views.

    Ceviche was very good , good price for amount. The entrees were pretty good but not sure I’d order any of the 3 we got again. Food was fresh just not awesome. Inside was beautiful, great feel and vibe. Service a very good.

    The food was ok. Our server was uninterested. I was not very impressed especially after all the hype.

    Wilmington has a lot of great Mexican restaurants. This was our first visit and we left with a feeling like we probably wouldn’t go again. The drinks are ordinary, the food was basic, the view wasn’t great, the service was lousy, and the noise inside was extremely loud.

    It was okay but we won’t be returning. The atmosphere and service were great but the food was underwhelming.

    No one at our table liked our food. Two of us ordered tuna tacos we asked if they were seared ahi tuna tacos. The quality was extremely poor. They were very chewy clearly previously frozen tuna steaks. They tased like nothing, not enough flavor to enjoy it. It’s a bummer because the building is beautiful and great location.

    Food quality is average or slightly below. Food value was good since Friday special is 1/2 off fajita, but wasn't advised they eliminate one side of rice or beans for special. Fajitas were mostly served with onions and a couple peppers could be found. No cheese on side, but did include sour cream. Service was not consistent. Outside seating was nice and spacious.

    We sat on the patio and could hear the live music from next door and watched the fireworks. It was an awesome seat on the waterfront! The food was delicious and waiter was on top of it! Personal and friendly. We had a five star experience and will go back!

    That does not sound like the type of experience we would like for your group. Concert nights do tend to slow things down from the kitchen and bar. But, we can do better. We are very sorry.
