Yamanami is a Japanese restaurant located inside the Keio Plaza Hotel in Tokyo. The inside of the restaurant is elegant and refined, with a modern style and sensibility. Yamanami is located several floors up, but in addition to the gorgeous view of the Toyko skyline, diners are treated to lush vegetation that grows out of planters just outside all of the windows giving the illusion of dining in a forest even several stories up. Yamanami's claim to fame is its dedication to using only the best possible ingredients for its teppanyaki menu like Kobe beef and abalone.

今回、注文を聞きに来たかたが、不慣れで何度も聞いた、またビールも間違えて持ってきた、ベテランもいるのでしょうが、しんまいだったかな？

ホテルの７階にあり、都庁を見ながらか、ビル上の庭園を見ながらかのどちらかの席になります。希望がある場合は予約時に指定したほうが良いと思います。

Fantastic food, including Kobe Beef cooked to perfection in the set menu of ¥18,000 per person, which my wife and I both had. Excellent service as well, but as expected this isn’t a cheap eat, costing around £250 for 2 people, and we didn’t have any wine between us. Great restaurant for a special occasion.

Very average food at exorbitant prices. I ordered a course that was to include both Kobe and Hide beef. I was only given the Kobe. By the time I could speak to a waiter the chef had already cleaned the grill and we were given dessert. He said they would cook it for me, but I said it was too late at this point. I didn’t want to eat a piece of meat by itself after dessert. After dinner I was told to pay outside the restaurant in the hallway. I couldn’t believe they charged me for the course with no reduction for the missing Hide. That course was 1400 yen extra. They spoke almost no English which made it impossible to argue. Bill was 75100 yen for two people.

ホテルのレストランという事で少々緊張しましたがスタッフの方たちがリラックスさせてくれました。お料理はもちろんですが、何よりスタッフの方の心くばりがうれしかったですね。

とても美味しかったです。また、目の前の鉄板で焼いて頂けるので視覚的にも非常に楽しめました。特別な日のランチ/ディナーにぴったりだと思います。

はじめての鉄板焼きでしたが、こちらのお店を選んで良かったです。ランチコース「びわ」を頼みましたが、大変満足しました。追加1000円で注文できるガーリックライスもお勧めです。次回はディナーで行きたいと思います。

Located on the 7th floor of the Keio Plaza Hotel Tower, the food was stellar. Having my meal at 8pm on a Wednesday was a treat as it was my last meal in Tokyo. Very delicious Kobe Beef
