We had a business lunch for 5 here and not only was the food perfect, where we were sat was great for a roundtable business meeting. We'll be back!
All the people at TenPenh are awesome. Francesco is amazing. Extremely professional, knowledgeable and courteous. I love this place.
Delicious food and OUTSTANDING service!
Sushi was delicious
A beautiful place, to be sure, and I hope the location serves them well once Tysons Corner is more pedestrian friendly. The service needs to be more polished and professional, in my opinion, and the sticky sweet brown sauce that was on almost every dish we ordered, just smothered the other flavors.
Came here to celebrate our daughter’s sports victory and it was wonderful experience. We started with two sushi rolls that were to die for and then we each ordered an entree. My daughter’s scallops were so good she didn’t want to share. Husband had the lamb chops: he devoured it. I had the curried shrimp and pineapple dish - it was delectable. We are officially members of the TenPenh clean plate club!
Good food and drinks but definitely a little on the pricey side!
Nice recent find close to home Experimential cuisine
I like all small plates (pancake) the duct and all the great Asian beers
Fantastic Reasly great setvice
First time visiting TenPenh. Food and service were excellent. Our thanks to Francesco for a fabulous job tending to us, yet not overdoing it. We started with the Wicked Tuna roll. I would get it again immediately. We tried the Moo Shu Pork appetizer. Large enough for two and very, very good. The Filipino Lumpia was a disappointment. Two small pieces. Pretty much tasteless and the vinegar-based dipping sauce didn't make sense. Skip that one. For entrees, we tried the Wok Smoked Lobster and Crispy Whole Flounder. Both very good, but the flounder edged out the lobster for flavor. Split the Toasted Coconut Key Lime Tart for dessert. Wow. Absolutely fabulous. Definitely headed back to TenPenh, as there were plenty of items on the menu worth trying.
Very nice restaurant, really good Asian-fusion food. Perfect for special occasions. Decor nice, tables not too cramped. Fresh food that's really good. We were there on a Thursday & it wasn't packed with people, but could imagine that when it's full (like weekends) it might be noisy.
We've been to Ten Penh many times, but this past Saturday was not its finest moment. Some of the fried food arrived in a small pool of grease and the scallops were not prepared very well, but the annoying part was the number of times the severs came while we still eating to ask if we were still "working" and could they clear the table. We weren't "working." We were trying to have a cordial dinner. Just because one person finishes a small plate doesn't mean that we're ready to be pushed out the door. I almost could understand asking if one person wanted his or her place cleared, but returning no fewer than five times to ask is just far too much. it's amateurish and discourteous.
Overall excellent but need better directions on where to park--not just to "use the Silverline Center garage" , but also on which LEVEL so that one can easily exit to the restaurant. Especially on weekend when there is no access to elevators.
Dumplings were good, but the Korean Beef Brisket Rice Stone Bowl was absolutely amazing. I've tried this dish several times before, but this was the best version. Service was on point. TenPenh was very solid on this visit.
Delicious fresh food! Everything we ordered from the apps to the entrees was perfectly prepared Great service. Definitely a must and repeat visit
TenPenh is one of the few reasons to leave restaurant-rich Washington, DC. It provides beautiful spaces, an adventurous menu, and quality table service. This old favorite continues to earn our attention.
Fantastic service; great dishes to share. Drinks were fantastic; wine selection very nice. Lobster pancake was unique and fantastic. We'll be back.
Service was wonderful. Real sweet and attentive waitress, Diana. Serving staff were very pleasant too. Good was well prepared and flavorful. Meat was a little scant in each dish compared to other equally priced restaurants. Experience was very nice.
It was my sons 18th birthday celebration. Francesco B. was our wonderful server. As it was our first time there, he helped explain the menu and recommended some dishes for us. We loved our food and will definitely be back.
We really love the atmosphere and our waiter was really no her game. The dumpling of the day was great and the peking duck was very good.
Valentine’s Day was special and the food excellent. Service with our server Arlene made it even better. Paying attention to detail was what made it very good.
We're no strangers to Ten Penh but our Valentine's dinner was just top notch. ur cocktails were great (Jade and Forever & a Day). My wife and I shared the sashimis appetizer which was very fresh and tasty. My wife really enjoyed her salmon and I tried the scallops. They were fabulous. Kathy (maybe Cathy) served us. Efficient, knowledgable, very pleasant.
Fantastic menu and service, the best crab dip ever!
Never fails to exceed expectations. Phenomenal restaurant with incredible food!!
They had amazing food like their Bao buns, their ramen, and their shrimp rice.
Working backwards, the ambiance for dinner was nice. Modern, clean and unique restaurant particularly for Tysons Corner. The food was good and some bites were even better than good. However, there were a few things that were not as good as they once were, particularly the bau buns. The other challenge was that we had a vegetarian eater and in looking at the menu there is incredibly few purely vegetarian (not vegan) options. Strange for an Asian fusion restaurant. When inquiring about alternatives, no options were recommended just a reference back to the menu. That brings us to the service. In a word, service was BAD. It took us 30 minutes before we were approached to order. It took even longer, probably 45 minutes before someone came back to check on us after our food was delivered and i could get a refill on water. Unclear if they were short staffed or not, but frankly that is not my problem. It is unfortunate. This was one of my wife's favorite restaurants when it was in DC and she was thrilled when it popped up out in Tysons near our home. We have been there a number of times without issue, but she proclaimed it was her last after this Saturday night.
Ladies Luncheon could not have been better! Delicious, beautifully presented & excellent service! Everyone wants to go back!
Came with two friends, one of them a first-timer, and lunch was as always wonderful - the first-timer was very impressed and we all enjoyed a drink, shared appetizer and bento boxes! We are all looking forward to coming again for maybe a longer lunch!
Service was poor; we had to wait a long time for even water; vegetarian options very limited and bland. probably better for meat and sushi eaters!
The eggplant was overly salty. The shrimp were overdone in the shrimp curry. The Chinese broccoli was strange - the grilled cauliflower had a weirs sauce. I a few tables over had a fish with a fermented fish sauce. We had to move tables due to the smell.
Everything about the experience was wonderful. I had the miso salmon and my dining companion had the ribeye. OMG. We loved the shrimp toast which was perfect. I highly recommend this restaurant. The staff was attentive without being intrusive.
Appetizers came to table before bottle of Wine!
Very slow service.
Sushi is excellent. Wait staff attentive and friendly. Specialty cocktails are delicious. Date loved it.
The food was excellent. The Bao Buns are delicious and so were our entrees.
The desserts were just okay. The portions are too large and the taste is average.
Our waitress was great, but we were not thrilled with the host staff. The restaurant was only half full and there were several tables by the window, but they tried to seat us in a dark corner by the kitchen. I asked to be moved to a window table, and she said that the best she could do was move us to a table closer to the window. 3 minutes after we sat down, they sat another couple at the window table. I don’t understand that logic.
Very disappointing visit... Have visited here twice, but this time was by far the worst. Poor service, poor food quality but great greeting at the hostess stand.
Definitely coming off of my dining list
TenPenh has a really nice atmosphere and good food. Great find.
Lovely ambiance and great service, but food was mediocre at best. Disappointing.
There was no heat in the restaurant and Only when we asked did they tell us there was no heat. They could have at least put us in tables near the kitchen but instead they put us next to the windows. Ended up at the doctor next day.
food was good, but watch out about parking!!! we were there for a Friday night dinner at 8 pm. Valet parking was backed up, so we parked in the garage next to the restaurant. There is no where else to parkin around the restaurant. We were finished with dinner at 10:15 and went to the car. On exiting the parking lot, we were charged $10 because we were there more than 2 hours; had to pay by credit card, since it is an office building parking lot with no attendant and virtually no one else in the parking lot. No question or offer about parking validation by the restaurant. In fact, on exiting the restaurant, no one was up front and we had to get our own coats.
Restaurant should learn something about hospitality.
This was a first visit for me. I went during restaurant week and did order the dinner set menu. I loved the shiitake bao. Flavorful and meaty. It is hard to find bao so I loved it. My main course was salmon on a bed of seaweed with some citrus sauce. Another winner. Dessert was the mai tai creme bruelle. The custard was smooth and done right.
I’ll be returning.
