   Service was exceptional. Food was okay; not much depth of flavor (I had the hamachi, sunchokes, milk bread and new potatoes). Bread was outstanding! Fire alarm was being tested for half of my meal which definitely took away from the ambience.

   Great pre-theatre food. We've been twice now. They're very focused on your deadline for departure, which is great if you need to walk to the Orpheum especially. The Golden Gate is basically next door. Food has been exceptional. Cocktails good, but not exceptional - then again, maybe I ordered the wrong thing. The milk bread and the cauliflower should not be missed. We've had two different hamachi starters and they were both great. The pasta option last night (cavatelli of some sort) was perfect.

   Was a great place to go before going to a show at Golden Gate Theater. The wait staff was very attentive and the food was tasty. Cocktails were a highlight of the night.

   Wonderful service, great cocktails. Loved every dish we ordered! We didn’t like the wines by the glass They were too light for our tastes, but this didn’t detract from our overall experience. We had the hamachi, fried cauliflower, pasta and octopus!

   A beautiful restaurant very close to Golden gate and Orpheum theater The food and drinks were very good We got two decent pieces of steak for $60 and two pieces of duck for $52. I thought it was a bit pricey.

    The food was very good. Our server was responsible for too many tables and our service suffered for that reason. The noise level was extreme and made conversation impossible for our group.

    Wonderful place to eat if you are looking for a spot to grab a drink and quit bites before a show at the Golden Gate theater. Pricey though for the amount of food you get just like most upscale restaurants so don’t look for a lot of food. The food here was what I would describe as Asian Fusion, for example their burrata I’m pretty sure had some soy sauce in it, kind of a Asian twist on dishes. All the food was delicious but definitely not filling.

    First time at this new restaurant with an interesting eclectic menu. They are reaching for new taste experiences with a playful small plate Japanese influence. I have to say the appetizers stand out-from the garam masala brown butter/ume apricot purée over roasted cabbage, to burrata with a salsa macha (smoky pepper salsa). Crispy cauliflower bites come with a silky cashew cream. The new potatoes are excellent, and the “meatball on the bone” is flavorful and delicious. We had the short rib Hong Kong noodles also; this dish disappointed in the lack of acidity in the broth. A black garlic purée smeared in the dish adds an umami flavor but needs to be mixed in, and more tomato also. The meat was sliced too thin to appreciate any flavor or texture, although I know that’s the style of this dish. By far, the best reason to go is the service. Both the manager and waitstaff were polite, friendly, engaging, and made our evening fun. They made us feel very welcome. We will definitely come back.

    Interesting, different recipes. Cauliflower was outstanding. Beef short rib on Hong Kong noodles was ok. First time it came out it wasn't hot, but they redid the dish and comped it. Excellent practice! Kudos on that.

    It is hard to say whether the food or the service was better. I had the cod, which was delicious, and the wine and cocktail lists were expertly crafted. Our server was friendly, attentive, and knowledgable. Will certainly recommend Tenderheart!

    I wanted to love this place so much... but the food was just sub par. Ambience - Chic and soothing. Service - Amazing, lovely people Bar (Cocktail and Wine) - Wonderful selection and really yummy drinks. However, the food was just a miss on every item we ordered. The Little Gem salad was truly not edible (something was very off about the ginger dressing). The cauliflower was so heavily fried that it wasn't enjoyable. The burrata was pretty decent and unique - we did enjoy the fried noodles that accompanied it. By the time we go to the quail (which is lauded), we were too overwhelmed with all the fried food so couldn't stomach much. The space and service are wonderful... I really hope they are able to change the menu!

    This experience was amazing. The food, service, and ambiance was phenomenal. Our server, Chelan, helped us decide what to order and drink - all of her recommendations were spectacular. Very flavorful lamb, duck, salads, etc. The small plate/family style dining in combination with the craft cocktails was a perfect meal. At the end of our meal we went up to the rooftop lounge in the building and stayed for more drinks. I can't recommend this place enough.

    We really enjoyed the food and service a lot of the dishes were unusual but delicious. My only criticism is that although the restaurant was not full - the noise level made it difficult to enjoy our conversation. The food was more elegant than the setting.

    The staff is enthusiastic and very nice. Drink order was wrong but happily corrected. Cant add bar bill to dinner bill. Had to find hostess to check in. The food was creative and fun but definitely needs a bit of fine tuning. The wait between lighter fare and heavier was a bit long. It felt like a soft opening with a bit of chaos. Maybe worth a visit in a few months when they work out the kinks.
