While the food here is very good, and reasonably priced I can not recommend this restaurant based on the service. I have never experienced such rude service in all my travels. Every request was met with an attitude (ie, can I have some extra napkins, I would like to order another drink). Nothing unreasonable. When our waitress finally brought the check, there was no comment from her - no thank you, nothing. There was no manager on duty??? to mention this to. No one that works here cares which is a shame because the food is good, and the location across from the Westin is ideal. Oh well, they don’t care anyway!
They need to wash their dishrags. The whole time it smelled like dirty dishwater.
Would not pick this again with all the other options in Pittsburgh. They were out of a lot of items... sour cream, jalapeños, brussel sprouts. We were there for a birthday and they were aware, we were paying our bill and the waitress brought the birthday guy a gin and tonic. He already had 2 and we were about to leave... why not just comp one of the two or bring him something other than a drink? Extremely disappointed
It wasn't very crowded yet the service was very slow and inattentive and the food was horrible. We all left large amounts on the plates as it was not worth eating or taking home for later.
When in town for a show or event on weekend make it an effort to stop and eat here. Service is quick and friendly. Foid is always good. Highly recommend the Calamari.
Fantastic overall. Food is outstanding. Atmosphere and casual and comfortable.
Good for lunch or dinner before a show at one of the nearby theaters. Spouse had the kielbasa and pirogi dinner which was excellent and filling , although the pirogis were a little too crispy for his taste. I tried the mac n' cheese and added the fried chicken. Mac n' cheese was rich and creamy with crunchy topping but the fried chicken bites were almost non-existent. Had to search for them mixed in with the macaroni. A lot of hard surfaces that bounce sound around rather than absorbing it and there was a large party (10-12) that made the noise level uncomfortably high at times. Would go again if in the area for a show but it's not a destination kind of restaurant.
We waited over an hour for our food and once it came it was cold, overdone and not good. Very disappointed bc the menu looked great. Server did all she could. Not her fault at all.
Service has continued to worsen with each visit, but the food and menu selection never disappoints!
Ryan was a great server! He handled 2 tables with ease we really enjoyed it!
Great food an service. It is just a very noisy place.
We were seated quickly.
We waited a long time to be served. Went to hostess to make sure we weren’t forgotten. Then still had to wait for service!
The restaurant was only half full at most at the time.
After we were served we really did enjoy the food.
Great outside eating. The calamari was scrumptious , definitely a hit. We ordered the pierogi and philly cheese steak. We shared the fries which is an all time Pittsburgh favorite as to how they made them.
The food is really good, and our server Nate was spot on. However, there was a group of folks celebrating happy hour at the bar that was SO LOUD so consistently (as in shouting loud) that it truly negatively affected our dining experience.
Delicious food, good service, great venue. Maybe just a little bit pricey, but you’re in the city so you can’t really expect less.
We really enjoyed the crab dip. It was amazing! Very calm atmosphere
Incredible service and great food for the price!!!
We arrived early for our reservation. We did not expect to be seated until our reservation time. However, we weren’t seated until much after our reservation time. They claimed to only have 1 table and they couldn’t get the prior party to leave?! We repeatedly had to ask for things that we ordered. An appetizer was forgotten, chicken for a salad was forgotten, a drink was wrong, and another drink was forgotten. The food was great though. Especially the cornbread and the Brussel sprouts. Since I go to restaurants for food, I’ll be willing to try again. But not on a Friday or weekend.
Food was great. Service (though we had a polite and kind server) was SLOW. It was a Sunday night, not crowded -- not sure why everything took so long. Otherwise, all was good!
Overall, it was an ok experience. This was my first time eating here and after being told about this place, I decided to try it. The food was ok, nothing special. The server was attentive so for having “ok” food, she did a nice job with keeping me and my fiancé engaged during dinner. I doubt we would return for dinner in the future.
The food was great!!
Plenty of parking nearby. The ambiance is casual and the decor has quirky, industrial elements. The staff is friendly and welcoming. We had the spicy calamari appetizer. My wife went with the seafood stew with halibut special and I selected the pan roasted salmon. Both entrees were flavorful and perfectly cooked. The dessert selection was pretty generic and we opted not to have any. They have a nice selection of cocktails, beers and wine. Overall a very positive experience. We will be back again.
Although we had a reservation, our table was by the bathroom hallway entrance and where food is being brought up. Kitchen is downstairs. In addition, we were seated by a loud and drunk table, at times we thought the young man was going to fall back into our table.
Starters and our main course took too long. We were at the restaurant for over 75 minutes solely because our food took so long. The server I assume tried his best.
The food is over flavored, sometimes less is more.
The noise level is unbearable.
I would not go back nor would I recommend.
This has usually been a great stop near the convention centre. However this year the food was absolutely terrible! The Rueben was one of the worst. Stringy, cold corned beef on a greasy and dry rye bread served with cold fries. Oh well plenty of choices in the area.
Positive note was the Servers were excellent and aimed to please.
We were in town for an Convention and were able to get a reservation quickly and easily thank to the Open Table App.
It was so hot in the restaurant it was unbearable. Can't believe they wouldn't open the giant windows they have to cool it down. Made the experience (which was excruciatingly slow anyway) terrible. Server was nice, though.
I had a great event experience in Jan 2019 so recommended this restaurant for Sunday brunch for approx 9ppl in May 2019. Unfortunately, the kitchen messed up our entire order and when the food came out, the runners didnt know who had each entree and all the burgers were overcooked. They even ran out of hamburger buns and served one w sliced bread instead of coming back to the table to inform us before it came out. Im embarrassed that I referred this restaurant to friends from out of town. The waitress apologized, however, a manager never came by or took anything off the bill. Restrooms were also dirty and had no toilet paper. I would recommend this restaurant for happy hour but not to eat.
We went as a group of 12 and it was the best. Food was great, service was amazing!
Overall this was a good visit. Food was okay...could have been better. They ran out of the Candied Bacon for the Penny Wise Fries...disappointing that they didn't plan better. The Smashed Chicken Piccata Style was over salted.
Food and ambiance were great. Had better service at local pizza shop. Waiter couldn't ha e been less attentive.
Burger overdone. 430 dinner. Service a little slow. Kid menu, no kids cups
Service was good. Very loud. 2 out of 3 dinners were tasty. The cheese steak grossly over cooked. Meat hard to eat. Glad I added a salad
Food tasted fine but options were very limited
Brunch was not very good. Food was just not executed well and there is not a simple egg meal. I have had dinner previously that was fine.
Worst service I have ever had there. Extremely disappointed highly doubtful I will return. There were very few tables with guests as well on a Saturday night. Which tells me things are not going well there
Enjoyable place for family, friends gathering and/or date night. Excellent service and friendly staff.
Had a delicious and relaxing dinner before seeing a show at the August Wilson Center right around the corner. We were lucky enough to be there on a beautiful, warm, sunny Pittsburgh afternoon, so the restaurant was opened up on two sides creating a lovely, warm and breezy environment. Menu was not extensive, but the variety was nice and everyone in the group found something they loved. I had a grilled Reuben, one of my favorites, and it did not disappoint. Easily one of the best Reuben sandwiches I've had. Fresh cut fries can be a gamble, but these were spot on. Not heavy, not greasy, just crispy and salty enough. Other dishes were a hit, as well. One diner had the smashed chicken piccata and the other had the burger: both were very happy with their choices. Our server was fantastic and friendly. We never had to ask for drink refills, and she was so quick and efficient you barely realized she was there. We will definitely be back!
Interesting and tasty menu items. However, the menu online was not exactly the same as at the restaurant. Two of the items we wanted to order were not being offered. The food we ordered was delicious though!
It was our first time there and I was nervous because I picked the restaurant and was with 6 other women before Cher concert. The food was awesome, our waiter, Kevin, was really good and our food was wonderful. The menu has a wide enough selection to fit any appetite and price range. Thank you for a great experience. We will be back.
The server was awesome, the food done well, and the entire experience was perfect.
