Ten Palms Restaurant
*We are sorry , but currently we don't offer Sunday Brunch. We will offer it back by December 2nd*
Absolutely perfect experience. Our table of 4 were all 1st timers. We all loved the experience and will certainly do it again. The food was awesome and plentiful. The atmosphere was so energetic. Between races, there was plenty of time to replenish food or drinks, but also allowing for enjoyable table conversation with our group. Tables of people around us were also having a great time, so much that we made new acquaintances, which even made it more FUN! I would highly recommend this experience of fun to everyone.
The Mother’s Day brunch was wonderful. Our Waiter Chariot was pleasant, helpful and attentive to our plates, refills and made the day great. The food was plentiful and delicious. The presentation of the buffet is one of the best I’ve been too.
Our Server was outstanding and informative! We attended for the Mother’s Day brunch and loved it. Fantastic spread, food was delicious. Had an awesome time!
The restaurant itself is beautiful. Lovely view over looking the track. The server for my table was attentive and accommodating. The hostess staff and whom ever answers the phone, are extremely rude and unhelpful. Not only was it hard to get someone to answer the phone, when I finally did get human interaction the woman who answered was uninterested in helping me. Upon arrival the hostess was rude to my mother in law. Unfortunately I won’t be back for a second visit. Nothing real special for Mother’s Day. My sister and I, both moms, didn’t even receive a Rose. Unfortunate experience considering the check average is high per person and automatically included the 20% gratitude of 70$. I would of expected a friendlier staff.
Everything was lovely, except the temperature was ridiculously cold . I literally had to walk outside to warm up.
Waiter was rude and inattentive and didn’t care about serving his customers. All he did was watch the races and ignored us. When he presented the bill to me, it was the only bill I have ever received which didn’t have a place for me to sign my name. He also left me no copy of the bill even after I signed it he also presented an additional bill which wasn’t mine which he finally took back overall , This waiter I suspect was doing something fraudulent.
Great way to spend the day. We came to celebrate my dads 80th Birthday and were seated by the finish line. The food was delicious and the venue and service were top notch. We will be back again!!
$75.00 for a buffet (without anything to drink) was way over priced!
Enjoyed our outdoor/shaded dining and racing experience.
Food was outstanding. It was Derby day. So much fun. For a buffet the food was excellent always hot and fresh. Service in previous years was excellent this year not so good. I think we only saw our server 3 times in the 5 hours we were there. But enjoyed the tone with friends and the races.
Service was extremely slow, and food selection and overall quality was extremely poor for the excessive price of $75 for the buffet.
KY Derby celebration w/friends.
My reservation through Open Table was professional and expedited in a suavely manner.
My experience at the Ten Palms Restaurant for the Kentucky Derby 2019 was everything I expected. I will do it again next year
Fantastic buffet as usual , server not as attentive had to search him out to refill drinks, overall great kentucky derby day
My husband and I wanted to celebrate our 26th wedding anniversary with a fun day at the horse races. The table was right on the finish line. Our server, Rita was very attentive and our lunch was great. I ordered the lobster roll and it was FULL of lobster. We even ordered dessert. We had a great time and it was wonderful to be able to sit at our table for several hours to watch the races without feeling pressured to turn the table. The $25 per person minimum is well worth it to be able to sit and relax.
The server didn’t clean our table as often as expected. The food could have been better. Dessert was OK, I’ve had better.
Overpriced and the gratuity was added in. A $30 tip for theee people was rediculousnfornthe services received.
We loved the restaurant. First time- we went for the brunch Buffet for Easter Sunday. The food was fresh, mimosas were delicious, and you get to bet while dining! Let me not forget the window view I requested was provided. It was lovely. We will be returning for sure.
From the moment we entered we felt welcome. The waitstaff were great, there when you needed something but not once did they try to rush us out. We were there for hours, grazing and betting the horses. The only issue we had was that most of the food in the chafing dishes were warm at best. Maybe a heated plate may have made a difference. Overall it was the perfect Easter Sunday Brunch..we are planning on returning next year.
Food & Service was great. Only thing that was not as good as last year was that they did not have as many kids stuff...last year they had rabbit masks, bags of candy, and a toy plush horse. None of that this year.
Great facility but management is missing major opportunities. Brunch buffet offered a wide selection with fresh fruits, salads, shrimp cocktail and crab claws, carving station and made to order omelettes. Desserts were mostly mousse options. The big disappointment was the bar. There is a huge bar front and center in the dining room, however it was not very well stocked and drinks were not properly made. First off we had to ask for a cocktail menu, which did not arrive at our table until we were halfway done with our meal. I ordered a “Ten Palms Fizz Martini” which from its description should have been a vodka martini with elderflower liquor, soda, and lime however the waiter came back to ask me to make another selection because the bar did not have the ingredients to make a “Ten Palms Fizz”. So I ordered a margarita figuring that was simple enough also on the menu. When my margarita arrived it was in a tall glass, garnished with a maraschino cherry and a lemon...odd. The taste was terrible. I am not one to complain about a generous pour, but the amount/quality of tequila in this margarita was enough to curl your eyelashes and engage your gag reflex simultaneously. At this point, the server had already taken the cocktail menu away, so we couldn’t even find another drink to order. The server never made it back to see if we wanted anything else. Now, call me crazy, but if I am running a facility with an enormous bar where people are there to spend the day betting on 11 horse races on a hot sunny South Florida afternoon, eating a one-price all you can eat buffet, and my only opportunity to increase revenue is through the bar, you’d better believe I would run a well-stocked bar, with great looking lighted liquor bottles on display, top-notch mixologists, an attentive bar staff and cocktail servers, and place a wine list and cocktail menu at every table! We spent $270. on brunch for three and it was mediocre. Should’ve spent $300. at The Breakers.
The best way to enjoy the horses. You can relax, enjoy the horse racing and be servered delicious food. With a buffet that offers a host of selections, everyone can find something they enjoy. The staff is professional and attentive. Very reasonably priced and great value for your money. Only way I will go to the track.
We had lunch here twice during racing season. Both times we were seated indoors at a large table with a good view of the finish line. The food is surprisingly good and the staff is friendly. There are betting windows and machines, but even more convenient is the agent who came to the table to take our bets. The noise level is good for quiet conversation except during races, when people are yelling their horses to victory ... or to the glue factory.
Love the Sunday brunch!!!
Ten Palms is the best spot to watch the races. They had my reservation and special table request, which they met, a window seating near the finish line. The buffet was moderately priced and was loaded with delicious entries and sides, from breakfast fare to dinner food and excellent desserts. Two mimosas were included in the price. Service was excellent, the ambiance was enjoyable, and the overall experience was terrific. The table chairs could have been more comfortable, but, other than that, we were most pleased.
Excellent place there was a large group function next to us that were very very loud the only downside
If you want a pleasant zfternoon at Gulfstream, with nice drinks, good food, easy conversation, great view of track ( with table tv) and easy, quick wagering from table - this is your place.
Access to outside and AC inside perfect.
Had great afternoon at fair, but not inexpensive cost. Only way I want to go to track with friends.
Always enjoy going there. Service excellent. Didnt think the cut of the ribeye was near as good as previous. Tasted like a sirloin and not ribeye. Wife agreed.
Enjoyed dining there and the racing . Most enjoyable day !!
This place was amazing. The Buffett was fantastic and the service matched.
We had a great table at the finish line and close to the betting window. The restaurant was not very crowded so the noise level was low and the lines at the betting window were not to long.
Our food was good with the exception of the French fries which arrived cold but our waitress quickly got hot ones for us.
All in all we enjoyed a lovely day at the track.
Great day at the Races!!
Loved watching horse racing while enjoying a delicious buffet with all the fresh shell fish, prime rib and other carved meats, variety of vegetables and desserts. All perfectly prepared and a very fair price. Mimosas were also delightful.
Buffet was exceptional. So many choices it was hard to quit eating!
We arrived on time with your reservation ....they seated us at a small table in the back behind a large column. Couldn't see the racetrack. We were dressed properly and didn't smell. We asked for a better table. It was early and only about 20% full. They said that's all they had...we left and went downstairs...I guess we weren't part of their regular crowd...or I wasn't savy enough to have a few 20s in my hand.. not necessary at a proper restaurant in Kentucky....
Buffet for $65 pp. plus tax and 20%gratuity. So not worth it. $170 for 2 people. For a buffet lunch? And not a great one at that. Sorry but felt somewhat ripped off.
We had a great table for seeing the races. Our service was very good and the food so tasty. We will be back next year.
First time at Ten Palms, wait staff was very friendly, quick to complete any order or desire.. made sure we were satisfied. I am very happy with the experience, so much so that I booked a table on the sunday following my initial experience on Thursday.
Trés beau buffet agréable en bonne compagnie et on voit courrir les chevaux 🐎
