Temporis is open Tues-Sat, 5 p.m. until the last seating at 9 p.m. Each night, the restaurant serves a 10-course tasting menu of progressive American cuisine. On Tues-Thurs, a 5-course tasting menu, an abbreviated journey of the season, is offered as well; please let us know which tasting menu you would like in your reservation requests to help us best plan for your visit. Our 10-course tasting menu is $155 a person and our 5-course menu is $85.

The service is outstanding and approachable as they ease you into each mind-blowing plating. The pairings were sublime - splurge on the Reserve Wine Pairing - you wil not be disappointed. It is worth keeping your phone handy to capture the beauty of the presentation of each course. Chef Jorge orchestrates the experience - delicate courses of mussels and lobster followed by pork belly and short rib as he shares a bit of his Boston roots and Chicago home. Pastry Chef Jacquelyn is a master. It is rare when you can actually feel the magical, cool vibe of when good, talented people collaborate, and it is inspiring to be their guest. Thank you, Temporis!
We visited Temporis a few days before the Covid-19 shut-down, and were among a total of six people that night. The food is glorious, and the wine pairings unusually thoughtful. I have celiac disease, and was impressed by the creative workarounds to ensure that my meal was as interesting as my husband's. Particular standouts included the Wagyu dumpling and the lobster with black truffle.
Though it was an early reservation, it was clear that as soon as we finished the staff could go home, yet we never felt rushed. Temporis is a splurge, but well worth it. When we come out at the other end of this outbreak, we would be honored to return.

Went there for my girlfriend and I anniversary. Everything was great, from food to service. Did not feel out of place especially being, probably, the youngest people there. Would go back again should another occasion pop up.

Very creative, mostly delicious, however a few courses not top notch, saltiness or bitterness overpowering, or main ingredient not recognizable (e.g. lobster ravioli). Adventurous, great service, great seating.
We were very satisfied with the five-course prix fixe meal and its wine-pairing service. Most of the dishes were very memorable, in a good way!

Very expensive for what you get. Elegant minimalist decor throughout. Although the food looks very pretty at Temporis, lots of the flavors didn't meld very well together. I would skip the wine pairings - wasn't that impressed by the sommelier and the quantity of wine poured was pretty weak. They do have some interesting options by the glass and bottle that are reasonably priced. Lots of the courses included weird jello and powders and weren't really put together as a cohesive dish. If you're going I'd skip the wine pairing. For the price would highly recommend going to Oriole instead.

Such a great dining experience - delectable tasting menu with delicious non-alcoholic beverage pairing. Was pleasantly surprised by the Asian-inspired flavors and seafood/vegetarian substitutions they provided my Pescatarian husband at this “meat heavy” Michelin restaurant. Impeccable service to boot.
The accolades for Temporis are very well deserved. We were greeted in a professional and approachable manner once we stepped in the doorway. The space is small and cozy, with minimal decor, the focus is on the food and beverages. The creativity and thoughtfulness of the food really expressed itself throughout the entire dining experience. There wasn't any departure of ingredients that didn't feel in coordination of all the courses. The ingredients were elevated and celebrated in a cohesive way. One of the highlights was the non-alcoholic pairing created by their Beverage Director, Don Coen. Every drink was it's own culinary experience, masterfully balanced and absolutely delightful. That alone was worth the visit.
The entire experience was flawed especially as a Michelin star restaurant. The tasting menu was what it was, I didn’t think the flavors hit the mark at all on most dishes but that’s just my opinion but the decor, ambiance and service wasn’t up to par for the price at all. When presenting the wine options they encouraged the wine pairings which all of the wines were very low quality most bottles in the $30 range and they said the pours would be generous but was quite the opposite. For the quality and amount of wine served the wine should have been priced much better or they should have done what they actually promised that the portions would be generous which they were the opposite.
This is not a cheap experience, especially if you go for the wine pairing (which you should -- it is well thought-out and there is a "reduced-pour" option as well). I went in half-prepared to roll my eyes at yet another pretentious new-American restaurant whose execution doesn't quite meet the price tag, but man this place delivered. Every dish was stunningly well-balanced and executed, with wonderful flavors and texture contrasts (crispy sweet potato strings on roasted sweet potato with coconut and lime, a personal favorite, black garlic oil offsetting the sweetness of another dish, and mango gel and sorbet in one of the desserts. The meal is well-paced and left us neither hungry nor overstuffed. Service is warm and welcoming without being overbearing. Looking forward to going back after a while and seeing how the menu has evolved with the seasons.

A tiny jewel with a Michelin star in an inconspicuous small building on Ashland. Great food that happens to be gorgeous and delicious wine choices at all price points. Genial service that is not fussy.
Temporis clearly deserves its Michelin star. Be prepared to spend some time and enjoy wonderful taste treats with impeccable service.
Food is good but very overpriced.
I loved the meal. There were a few things they could improve on but this menu had the largest portions and aesthetics were amazing.

Troy Jorge is an amazing talent. I will definitely be coming back. To me price doesn't really matter if everything is on point. I mean the little things there are what made everything an unbelievable experience for myself and my partner. From the ambiance to the plating of courses, to the wine glasses, to the micro green being snipped at the tbl. Ect. Ect. Everything was approachable. I would highly recommend and definitely be coming back. Thank you again for a special experience.

Amazing experience! My girlfriend and I have never indulged ourselves like this before and it was truly a wonderful time. The staff was knowledgeable, friendly, and super supportive/helpful. The food was out of bounds, as Guy Fieri would say. Some of the favors and dishes were incredible, stuff I've never experienced before. I would recommend to anyone looking for a new and exciting food experience. It made my girlfriends birthday very special.
I have been to many of the tasting menu places in Chicago and this was among the best! Very inventive yet still familiar food. Would absolutely go back!
I cannot say enough about our dinner at Temporis. The service, the food, the attention to detail...all outstanding. They went above and beyond for our friend with celiac who also doesn't like seafood. They not only accommodate her, but made her "one of the best meals" she's ever had. The food was not only delicious but beautiful to look at. The staff was attentive, fun and knowledgable. This place is a tiny gem we will return to again for sure!

Temporis is one of the best, most personal, most special restaurants in the city. My wife and I felt like we were being welcomed into someone's home. The food was incredibly beautiful and everything tasted just so good. The wine was fantastic, and the service couldn't have been better. Thanks so much!
We celebrated my brother's 30th Bday here and all the staffs were amazing. They greeted us and all wished my brother a Happy Birthday. The staffs were thorough with the wine pairings/ drink options, attentive during each tasting, and added a very nice touch in having my brother's menu signed at the end of the night which made it extra special. We all had a wonderful experience at Temporis. :)
The experience as a whole was phenomenal. The esthetic, the service, and especially the food were top notch. I highly recommend.
