We believe that food that is inspired will translate into dishes that are the right blend of modern, yet approachable, familiar yet creative. This is the key to a memorable meal. Wine pairings ($95 and $165) and a bottle list will be offered, as well as some classic cocktails and non-alcoholic options. The atmosphere is intimate and modern. Business-casual or “cocktail” attire is suggested.

Amazing. Fancy. What a special place. So glad to have this in our neighborhood!!
Among the finest two or three degustations I have enjoyed in the past several years of Chicago dining. Excellent wine list and wine service! Broad selections of Euro and American bottles, and well-chosen pairing options available too. (All-Euro, alas, on our evening.) Pristine platings and beautiful serving pieces add visual and textural pleasures. Thoroughly thrilled by the white truffle additional course. One (fish) course was rather heavily salted, however. The later-course meats and seasonings were magnificent. Desserts were original and clever, and modest in scale. The restaurant is a marvel of design, sound, and lighting detail, in spite of its urban corner setting on Ashland.
The tariff is high, but still, it’s a great value to find a gem like this and its level of dedication from a young, creative team! Bravo!
Very creative food and excellent wine pairings. One wine selection sees you through two courses, but they'll top off your glass if you're running low--an unusual policy that we really appreciated. I especially enjoyed the escargot amuse bouche and the clever riff on grilled cheese and tomato soup (the sandwich made with comte cheese and thin slices of brioche. The soup came with a small scoop of tomato sorbet). Everything was plated beautifully. The service was excellent. Wait staff are very knowledgeable and quietly friendly (without going overboard). Two quibbles: I thought they left us too long before bringing the first course. (But in fairness, we were 30 minutes early, so maybe the kitchen wasn't ready for us.) Also, the sweet courses were not as good as the savory ones. I didn't particularly enjoy eating the pear with almond and granola, though it looked beautiful
The staff and food was amazing.
Newly crowned. Michelin 1, but they had a rough night in the kitchen. The amuse bouche didn’t show up until 35 minutes from seating and then the first course not until 50 minutes in. All told a normal 21/2 hour meal turned in nearly 4 hours. They did apologize half way through the meal saying there had been a ‘crisis’ in the kitchen, and the food itself was excellent so I’ll put this down to a rough night. They gave me a generous complimentary shaving of white truffle on the pasta dish so can’t complain too much.
The food was exceptional! The service was great, the staff was so personable and truly made the experience! And the wine... was excellent! Make sure you get the wine reserve wine paring!
Outstanding food, service and experience. One of my new favorite restaurants in Chicago. It's a Michelin star so it's pricey, but for the experience and caliber of food here, I would have expected to pay more, so was pleasantly surprised by that! I loved every single dish in the 9 course meal and can't wait to go back again when the menu changes.
Exceptional dining experience. Took my wife for her birthday and it was a memorable experience. We had the standard wine pairing which was extremely good. We liked how they paired two courses with each pairing and then gave a more than generous pour for each pairing. I highly recommend if you're looking for a memorable, 2 to 3 hour culinary journey.
Really good food. One of the better tasting menus we've had as of late. Not Alinea quality, but not Alinea prices either. We did the light pour wine pairing which was a really nice option to have. Would definitely recommend.
Temporis was already fantastic the first time I went, but somehow continues to steadily improve each subsequent visit; it has become among my very favorite venues in Chicago. Every single course is thoughtful, creative, utilizes high quality ingredients and perfectly executed. Not only does each course also taste amazing, but it is beautifully presented and often smells outstanding as well; definitely a multi-sensory experience (and perhaps the best value in fine dining in town). The dining room is perfect; elegant but laid back, well spaced tables and extremely comfortable. Service is also top notch; the perfect balance of polished yet personable. Just an all around incredibly enjoyable experience.
They try a little too hard and wasn’t impressed with the attempts at upselling wine pairing options, white truffle etc. but generally nice experience but won’t be rushing back
Amazing every time - it would be a real mistake not to come when you have the chance
One of the best. Food was delicious and creative. Wine pairings nicely complemented the food. A true experience.
Temporis was new to us, and was great. It is small ("tiny" is the best descriptor), and the food is great, and highly innovative. The wine pairings were excellent, and service without flaw.
3 hours for 10 courses...exhausted and braced the freedom after stepping out the restaurant
An absolutely amazing gastronomic experience...creative, innovative and delicious!
Must try. I did not know what to think but they earned that star honestly.
Amazing experience all-around, had an amazing first anniversary celebration here that we'll never forget!
Was dank. Do want again. Stand out dishes were the duck, the capellini and the wood smoked cheese.
It was fantastic experience. It's definitely worth visiting.
The food and wine were really great, but the service is what made the experience exceptional!
Better than ever
Awesome staff, truly fun and exciting. Also, great win paring choices.
Amazing tasting menu! We left full and extremely satisfied after the 11 delicious courses. I enjoyed the wine pairing with the reduced pour and the service was impeccable!
Run don't walk to Temporis! This place is amazing and worthy of its Michelin * . Creative, fun, tasty, food. Great, well-measured service. Good pacing from the kitchen. Tasty cocktails, and a great wine selection. This place is winner, hands down!
Nice date night locale. Thought the food and service was tremendous.
Great food, excellent dining experience.
An outstanding experience. The food was creative, beautiful and delicious and the wine pairing was excellent. We would highly recommend this to anyone who wants a very special dining experience.
Very attentive service and it is evident the chef is doing what he loves. Very nice special occasion place.
Everything about this dinner was absolutely first class. From the eager to please staff and culinary team, to the thoughtful and delicious food, it was a home run. We will be back.
A divine dining experience from the expertly prepared food, to the outstanding service and chic environment. My husband and I have eaten here before and we will return again and again. This restaurant is a little publicized or spoken about jewel. A must for foodies and all those who love creative cuisine.
Temporis is among the Top 3-5 meals you can find in Chicago. The creativity of the menu was superb, the plating and execution were both beautiful. Sam crafted an amazing meal and Laura and Don were an absolute joy to spend the evening with. Couldn’t recommend more highly.
great evening for a special occasion. Each plate was more creative than the last. The presentation was beautiful and with some very unique touches. It was a taste bud celebration!!!!
Chefs Don and Sam have a great thing going. From the moment we walked in until we left we experienced excellent service and great food. The 10 course menu was exceptional especially when paired with the great wine selection.
We have been looking for a fine dining experience ever since we had a reservation at Grace that was abruptly canceled. Well we found it at Temporis!!!!
First the service. Laura’s knowledge of the wines was awesome. And James, Gustavo and Audrey were extremely attentive and super professional as we advanced through each course on the menu.
Next the food. Each course was the perfect size to experience the multiple flavors that were perfectly matched. The salmon and lamb just being two examples. And it was a nice touch to have a table centerpiece that was edible and actually added to one of our courses. And the herbs were homegrown. Awesome.
Finally, this is a small and quaint place in West Town with very nice decor that we will visit many times in the future. Keep up the great work Temporis!!! Can’t wait for your next 10 course menu.
Fabulous food and service. The tables are rather close and the two couples next to us were rather loud. It was quite distracting but we cannot day enough about the chef, the food and the service.
We would still gladly return during our next visit to Chicago and highly recommended the restaurant to our many friends who live in Chicago.
Phenomenal cuisine with equally phenomenal service. Looking forward to coming back in the near future.
Dining at Temporis was a wonderful experience! The meal was impeccable and interesting from start to finish.
Came here for my mother's birthday - the food was phenomenal and the service was equally amazing. Absolutely loved it and was worth every penny!
Fantastic restaurant the is under the radar in the fine Chicago dining scene. Strongly recommend this place.
Our experience this evening has been phenomenal. From the first moment through the door to the very end, Laura, Audrey and Gustavo were all very welcoming, and accommodating. The service was impeccable-not intrusive, very polite yet still warm and genuine. The food was simply amazing! Each dish was meticulously thought out and plated appropriately. Some courses were pure and quietly beautiful, while others were wildly delicious. The portions were appropriate for the 10 course experience and Chef Donald Young executed impeccably. I have a nuisance of an allergy yet I still received incredible dishes which did not effect the integrity of Chef’s vision for the course. Thank you! I would suspect that if he doesn’t already, a Beard nod/ award should be awarded. The restaurant is only shy of 2 years old yet the owner, Sam Plotnick, has a jewel of a restaurant in his hands. You can sense the passion and pride in the food and service. I anticipate a Michelin star going to this incredible restaurant in the near future. Our only regret is that we do not live in Chicago so we can dine here more often. Thank you for an incredible experience!
