We loved the brunch this past Sunday! We will definitely be back!! Great vibes all around!!
Love the ambiance, service & food was amazing! I highly recommend this place. Made it feel like the Great Gatsby era!!
The food was excellent, flavor, portion and presentation were all on spot. However, mind the terrible service. The team dropped the ball serval times. The bread accidentally fell from the table. A waitress who was nearby picked it up but didn’t offer or ask if we needed a replacement. Then while I was still eating the last few bites of the 1st course—yummy mussels btw—the server surprisingly took my plate away WITHOUT even checking and asking if I was done. The last straw was the bill. After we put the money in, our waiter took our bill and never came back to check with us if we needed any change back, let alone a very simple, basic thank you. Disappointed.
Food is amazing and so fresh! I loved the ambiance too.
This restaurant experience was superb. We started with the mushroom consommé. Beautiful presentation and delicious. The beef short rib was so tender and flavorful. We tried four cocktails and each one was lovely. Service was outstanding. We each had dessert - the pineapple upsidedown cake and the banana split. Overall one of my favorite meals ever.
Delicious food, interesting wine list, great service.
The food was cold. I repeat, the food was cold. This ruined otherwise very tasty dishes. My mushroom consomme was tepid at best. My venison wellington, which I was told by the waiter was the reason the wait between the appetizer and the main course was so long as it had to bake, was also luke warm. This was also the case with my dining companions food. Furthermore one should not have to ask 3 times for bread in a restaurant such as this. At this price point and in a restaurant by Tom Colicchio no less this was unacceptable. I would not recommend this restaurant and this is a chame as it has so much potential in such a beautiful setting.
A bit of an attitude from the staff.
Had a reservation for lunch and were seated in the bar... dining room prices with bar atmosphere.
Great place to bring someone for business or date, both cases they will be surprised of the place
Reading an article in a magasin in Hamburg Airport and visiting the restaurant a month later was an experience that was worth waiting for :-)
Perfect service, very nice dinner and surroundings second to none!
Very good, interesting food, and wonderful service in a fun atmosphere. Enough background chatter and music to keep it feeling lively while staying quiet enough for a group of friends to maintain conversation and enjoy a relaxed, long meal together.
I've been to Temple Court and the Cocktail Lounge ii Beekman Hotel more than a few times. Last time, I took 2 of my close friends who were visiting from abroad. We ate at the Temple Court and had cocktails at the lounge and had great service in both sides. Tayfun, the manager helped us in every way; with the reservation, our food selection, and the wine selection. Also, gave us some bar recommendations for the next part of our night. Would definitely recommend this place to my friends, and would definitely take my guests here, again.
It was so nice to get to try Tom's restaurant, after having him watched discuss food on television for so long. Everything was exquisite. Flavors are well paired; presentation is finessed; the staff was attentive, friendly, and they took great care of us. We left there well satieted and hoping to return at some point in the future.
Spectacular space. Great Bar atmosphere. Excellent Food and service. A little noisy, as we sat adjacent to a large party. Definitely a must visit spot in NYC!
The food was delicious, fresh, unique and flavorful. We fully enjoyed our weekend brunch in the Bar room with live music.
They really made my birthday special
We were going to Hamilton afterward. Honeymoon. :)
Our visit was great! The food was perfect (interesting and yummy!!) and the service was very friendly and accommodating. The rooms are beautiful and it's quite enough to have a conversation.
Best service. Our waiter Jose was a great server . And it was well professionally run. The kitchen staff was awsome . I'll be back for sure. The food was delicous, creative and just so beautifully plated . Made my birthday the best one yet. Everything was spot on especially the butterscotch pudding !
Great lunch. Burrata was creamy and beautiful presentation. Gnudi was delicious but needed a little more color on the plate. The salmon was a large portion and very good.
I found the food and service to be impeccable, a really first class restaurant just close to the financial district. A real jewel.
The place is magic !! Service outstanding, music , ambience and decor ! Brunch menu is perfect , And I need to say that I had the best Bloody Mary I’ve ever had , made with fresh tomato juice!! I am definitely coming back . It’s worth evry penny !
My wife and I have eaten at four celebrity chef restaurants in the past two weeks. Temple Court was be far the best. Thanks Chef Colicchio!
A beautiful venue for a restaurant but lacking the sophistication you would expect from a chef of this caliber. The management will need to step up their game a little and train the auxiliary staff. Having a plate slide in front of you mid conversation without acknowledging you is amateur. The dishes lack the presentation you would expect: pasta drowned in its sauce, steak soaked in its juices and mushrooms on the side that looked day old, desserts that looked like what you would get in a diner.
As for service, although my waiter was attentive, there are just too many people just running around without a goal. The focus should be on the tables so that the dining experience is enhanced, not on means to an end.
Nothing about my second dining experience here stands out to return again.
Great ambiance, the decor is truly beautiful. Hosts could have been more accommodating - but the food was solid.
They have made our anniversary so special! We were greeted with menus printed with our names on them; seated in a nice corner table and served complimentary prosecco and appetizers. Tayfun- our service manager and our waitress were both so nice and courteous and kept an eye on our ends throughout the evening without being overbearing. Steak is to die-for and everything else we tasted deserved the price. It is pricey but I wouldn't trade the ambience, food and excellent service with anything else downtown! Will definitive be back.
Wonderfully comfortable, cool, awesome ambiance, and darn good food to boot. We sat for an almost four hour lunch, listened to live music, talked, relaxed in the comfy chairs. Can't wait to go back and stay at The Beekman again and eat at Temple Court.
Be careful with the cakes, the host told me cutting is 3-5 dollar each person, but at the end it turns out to be 32 dollar for 4 of us.
Gorgeous environment. Great place to take visitors.
First date, sexy, great impression:)
The food was delicious but the waiter keep coming over interrupting our conversation. It looked like he wanted us to leave. Since this is a business dinner, it was quite annoying.
The food is as unique as the restaurant. This should be a must for locals and tourist.
- Attentive, friendly staff
- High quality food, try the burrata appetizer!
- Beautiful Art Deco meets English library atmosphere
- Atrium table is a must
- Short 2-4 minute walk from Fulton St subway hub.
- Table busers were a little too overeager and didn’t communicate with each other about which tables to cover.
Went for weekend brunch. Reserved table with live music. Table offered was a four-top for five people. Really upsetting that they took the reservation, but did not have an appropriate table. We moved into the main part of the restaurant. Menu is very week for a Sunday brunch. Service was slow, appetizer was not served, entree came and we had to ask for appetizer. Food was good, but significantly overshadowed by the significant service flaws.
I am mindful that reviews on Open Table are more often than not provoked by extreme experiences. In that tradition such is mine.
First the food: Fish (Hake) was not fresh. It had the mushy quality of 3-day old or previously frozen fish and was prepared with way too much salt. Inedible and sent back to the kitchen. Replaced with sea scallops which were remarkably unremarkable.
The wine: After the cork was removed from the bottle and the first tasting pour, the rest of the evening was self-service with respect to the wine service.
Unnecessarily expensive wine list. Del Posto has more offerings of wines under $150 which makes me wonder why Temple Hall struggles to assemble a list with a robust offering of wines under $200. Huh?
The ambiance: If they are going to host birthday dinner parties of 30+ people then they should have a private dining room to accommodate such events with the requisite dedicated wait staff. Instead they were seated less that 10’-0” away and consumed most of the wait staff capacity.
To be fair that party probably started one hour before our arrival so we were well aware of their presence and they did not hide their celebratory mood. We could have taken the opportunity to leave immediately upon being shown our table rather than muscle through an unpleasant evening. Our bad.
I am also mindful that there are many reviews from other patrons that include such exclamations as “best meal of my life” for which I have no doubt is likely to be true. However not for us and far from. I can think of at least one dozen or more other NYC restaurants where I have enjoyed much better food, wine, ambiance and service for equal or less money.
Lastly, professional food critics rarely (if ever) write reviews based on a single dining experience. This was my only dining experience at Temple Hall so if I were a professional I would have held this review until my third meal and perhaps had a very different review to offer. Sadly can not afford to
We went to Temple Court for brunch. The Bar room is beautiful, like stepping back in time, elegant and warm. Jazz band gave an extra touch to the atmosphere. Food was very good, nice presentation. The service was a little too slow, but that is the only complain I would have about the place. Highly recommend it!
Perfect from start to end. Attentive unstuffy service; delicious food; beautiful and romantic atmosphere. We'll back!
We were celebrating a friend’s birthday. Temple Court knocked it out of the park. We were seated at a large table for 8 that felt semi-Private and had plenty of room for us to enjoy the night. The food was absolutely delicious, and the staff was very accommodating of a friend with nut allergies. I was also very impressed that Temple Court printed menus with Happy Birthday even though we were ordering off the normal menu. Well done! It certainly felt special. I will be back.
They made our dining experience very memorable. The main area “bar room” was packed with lively people on a Friday night. The dining area was much quieter. My husband and I celebrated our wedding anniversary and the attention to detail that they put forth didn’t go unnoticed. The hamachi, scallops, lobster and baked Alaska was ALL delicious! Very satisfied.
