Amazing spot for romantic dinner
Pretty expensive but worth it
Around 100-120 $ per person
Amazing food and excellent service. Perfect!
Fantastic lunch! Waldorf salad and salmon were perfect, great cocktail and desert. Excellent service and the place is beautiful. Old world NY done in a perfect way. And the price is unbeatable. Highly recommend.
Temple Court and its neighbor, the Bar with the marvelous atrium, are amazing. Great decor and history. Service was excellent. We had the Restaurant Week lunch menu which offered 6 appetizers and, I believe, 7 entrees rather than the standard 3/3 + one could add a dessert for only an additional $3. My friend had gnudi and mushroom tarte. I had mussels and duck cassoulet. All were delicious. Had hot rolls to start and 2 large slices of garlic bread that came with the mussels. We added the dessert, each having the Millefeuille-just delicious. My friend was celebrating her birthday and a candle was put on her dessert plate. We were seated in a comfortable corner booth. Noise level moderate. Just had an outstanding time for a wonderful bargain. Thanks.
Omg ! That was the best dinner experience ever. Our waiter Jamal was sweet and amazing. My best friend had special requests and he was so patient and funny about it. The manager came over twice to make sure we had a good time. And we did. We had a great time. The food was so good, incredible portions for the foie gras appetizer. The meat was perfectly done and dessert, so delicious.
5 stars, hands down. But the captain / waiter, Jamal was the best :)
Went for Restaurant Week and it was great value. The whole menu is available and everything was creative and excellent. Had the cavitelli, chicken fricassee, and millefeuille all of which were outstanding. Nice wine list. Great service and nice room with noise level I would consider loud but still could have a conversation. Definitely worth a return visit.
Tasty food and great service. Our waitress and the staff were attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. The food was excellent and cooked to perfection. Definitely will return to try more of the menu.
Everything was perfect! Excellent food, service and ambiance.
My husband and I ate at temple court restaurant during restaurant week, and the overall experience was outstanding!!! Highly recommend this restaurant. Great food!
Cavatelli was too salty. My friend enjoyed her foie gras. Duck in duck confit was tender but also too salty. Entree was brought out too soon, as not everyone was done eating their appetizer yet. They were training new waitstaff, so perhaps it'll be better once the staff is fully trained. Baked Alaska was delicious!
Restaurant Week Lunch-we were 20 minutes early and ordered a drink at the bar. The bar room in the atrium has great atmosphere. We ordered Hendricks gin & tonics- they were well made if a bit pricey @ $17 each. Starters of nudi with brussel sprouts, apple, sage & brown butter were the standout winner. Cavatelli with pesto was OK but not memorable. Wild Salmon was too well done for my taste. Cassoulet-confit duck leg was smokey but there was no sausage on the plate. Dessert for a $3. upcharge was a good value- the profiterole was more cookie than creme puff. We would definitely return for the NUDI!!!!! Service was smooth & professional.
Beautiful restaurant and bar. Great food Wonderful Restaurant Week experience
Overall — good. Only a couple of things : one of my friend ordered a glass of white wine. She checked bottle, it was open, but for one glass it is ok, she try....only instead of wine, it was just WATER!! Nobody apologize about it, only our waitress was confused and sorry..
We ordered skat fish. Too salty, for everyone ( for 4 people).
What was good? Friendly reception, nice building, appetizer and desert. I come back to Tample Court only next time l will order scallops.
We went for restaurant week. The food was absolutely spectacular. The only reason why I didn’t give the restaurant five stars across-the-board is because of the hostess whose name is Yoly. She should not work in the service industry! Very snippy and rude.
Went with a friend for Restaurant Week, the entire menu was available fabulous! enjoyed the burrata and Cavatelli appetizers both delicious, the hanger steak entree was amazing, the scallops were good but not my choice, the Baked Alaska was to die for. Fun classy atmosphere, lovely Bar Lounge setting also, will definitely be back
Food was amazing, with wonderful flavor combinations & great seasonal ingredients. Service & ambience were top notch as well. Went during restaurant week. Only disappointment was that specific dish listed online for special menu wasn't available.
Lovely! Highly recommend the steak.
Excellent food, very good service and ambiance. Wonderful business lunch location.
Absolutely fantastic! The food was wonderful and I adore the setting. Also: fantastic and inventive cocktails.
great menu and offerings.
we went during restaurant week and by far the best options for food choices with great wine list.
Enjoyed a truly wonderful dinner at Temple Court during Restaurant Week Winter 2019. Arrived promptly in time for our reservation and were seated within a few minutes. Service was spot on. Food was simply delicious. Recommend.
Wonderful service and very patient staff. We had an amazing time and the food was incredible. Would recommend if you’re willing to make it downtown.
It was a bit noisy but ok for Restaurant week. Not exactly good for a nice quiet dinner out.
One of the 2 men next to us was burping loud the time after dinner, which made it common and ordinary.
The waitress was polite but in a rushed forced kind of way, I also did not exactly appreciate her attire, all those Tattoos and messy hair and earrings. The otherwise elegant surroundings and Parisian flair were very much diminished.
From the entrance to the exit it could not be more spectacular. Food, Service, Ambiance. My food allergies were addressed immediately. The hotel is magnificent. The manager took time to chat with us. Highly recommend
We had the Restaurant Week lunch, and everything was marvelous!! The food was great (I had the skate), the service was excellent and the ambiance was just right. The portions were also just right. I will certainly recommend this restaurant to my family and friends.
What a surprise to find this wonderful restaurant in an old style setting-----architecturally beautiful. I hope they will continue to be a part of Restaurant Week .
While the food was well prepared the service seemed a bit lax--not always available seen.
Just shared the most perfect (Birthday) dining experience ever with my sister Terri at Tom Colicchio's Temple Court in the historic Beekman Hotel in Manhattan's FiDi! Wow!
Everything about the dinner was perfect... setting, food, wine and spectacularly, to the employee, exceptional, personal, enlightened, and even empathetic service! Between my sister and I, each of us with some incredibly different life/dining experiences and expectations, and carrying along daily life's emotional baggage, we agreed that we had just experienced perfection, where we were pampered, amused, meticulously cared for, and professionally served an exceptionally delicious and beautifully presented sumptuous repast. AND, it was using the menu from and during NYC Restaurant Week!!!
I'm telling you, from our call to the Reservationist yesterday afternoon confirming certain items were actually being included on the day's menu, to Darren's inspired, understanding and engaging (beverage) service, through the friendly, informed, yet impeccable table service by Becky, Salvatore et al., they each were personable and provided absolutely superior interactions.
The Temple Court team took an "Open Table" internet reservation "extra note" indicating it was Terri's birthday and proceeded to print a personalized menu, give us the best seat in the restaurant, free welcome bubbly, consideration on the wine, and a perfectly timed 3 hour meal! We were convinced we were Tom's most important friends.
I'm going to stop, lest my credibility suffers from too much praise. But, I will be going back!
Appetizer of gnudi was attractive but, in spite of brown butter and fried sage leaves, fairly tasteless. Lots of pepper and salt helped quite a bit. Ordered "cassoulet" for main course -- basically beans and confit of duck leg -- no sausage, no other meats. Skin on duck was grey and only slightly crisp on one side. Because it had not been crisped, the fat under the skin had not been rendered and the skin was inedible. I sent it back, waited 5-6 minutes, and got it back in the identical condition. Even the waiter mentioned that it looked identical. Bad marks to the waiter for even bringing it to me, and worse marks to the kitchen for sending it out like that in the first place, and for not crisping it second time around. This is my third -- and last -- time eating here. Each time has been a disappointment on at least one of the dishes. Place is comfy. service pleasant, but the most important thing -- the food -- is no better than "meh".
Excellent food and service!
Best RW lunch !!
Very nice tasty Sunday brunch. Enjoyed the eggs with vegetables. Great ambiance and cool jazz. Room is cozy.
Amazing attention to detail. The manager checked on our table several times and took great care in making my daughters Birthday celebration very special!
Overall my friends and I were very disappointed. If the place is gorgeous , great désigne and ambiance, the restaurant expertisas really à disaster. First the hostess made a joke about my first and last names (nothing special about them besides the fact that they are French )! We found that hugely inappropriate. Then our waitress was terrible and could I care lesssabout us. We had to ask and ask and ask for everything : bread water drinks . And the food was cold went it arrived .
the restaurant week menu for winter was not so exciting. I had he squash entree and it was burnt
This review pertains to only Restaurant Week. Restaurant week in restaurant week menus in New York help over the last few years failed abysmally. Not Temple Court! In my opinion this is the only restaurant worth going to Resturant Week. Natalie food with their execution turning the whole restaurant into one menu and executing it perfectly is the way to go.
Book this restaurant!
I entered from Beekman Hotel entrance - be sure to look up the skyline is spectacular. There are fresh flowers in sitting area - walking past the concierge lead to Temple Court vibrant sexy bar area. I can mingle here or walk toward the entrance of the restaurant to the reception area to announce my arrival. I am early for my 7pm dinner reservation and was immediately greeted and acknowledged of my special occasion and asked if I like to be seated at my table to wait for rest of party. My server was attentive and competent- they gave me a customized menu to acknowledge my birthday (nice touch ) especially since it was restaurant week. The food was fresh and fabulous- burrata, short rib truffle soup, scallops, flank steak, lamb, chicken and oh my Baked Alaska with a candle. And oh yes the wine list is great ... can’t wait to go again
Food is fabulous and the service impeccable. An wonderful meal in an incredible setting.
Food was very tasty presentation great menu choices many and it was restaurant week so value was super charming hotel connected to restaurant
Bro. The crispy side of the skate is too salty. You know. Way too salty. I haven't experienced that much amount of salt since last night video games. It hurts the soft skin in my mouth. I literally ripped off part of the water bubble in my mouth. That bubble was caused by too much salt. I knew it cuz it wasn't there 10 minutes ago.
Waited 30 minutes for the main course. I think they were having a large volume of customers. The quality control became an unexpected issue.
Everything else is good. Nice service. The fish is fresh at least.
I LOVE Temple Court! I’ve lost track at this point of how many times I’ve been there - lunches, dinners, and jazz brunch. It never misses to hit the excellence mark!
Food was excellently prepared and tasty. It would have been a perfect visit, if not for the poor bar service. We had a thirty minute wait for our table and decided to have a pre-dinner cocktail. I realized ,pretty quickly, that no one would ever look up to serve us, so we patiently waited to be seated. The gin martinis we ordered, at our table, consisted of a two thirds filled glass of watered down gin, with a couple of old olives. For $21 it was far from the quality we expected . Guess we'll go elsewhere for our cocktail hour.
