Temple Bar
Had our Thanksgiving dinner at Temple Bar; the turkey was perfectly cooked; we had the butternut squash bisque, which was excellent. I went with wine parings recommended, which went well with the bisque and the turkey meal. Followed up with a small scoop of their home made ice cream. Ambiance was great and we had a great experience.
As usual, we had a great meal here- this time for Thanksgiving Dinner. Everything was delicious. The service was excellent. Exactly what we were hoping a laid-back Thanksgiving Dinner would be.
A very comfortable atmosphere and we were thrilled that they had the dog show playing on the tv! Food was very good. I would like to go back and order from the regular menu. (I had the Thanksgiving menu.) The next time I visit my daughter, we will be coming back for dinner!
Really enjoyed the white bean burger and kale/quinoa appetizer and the service was great.
My brother in law keeps saying it was the best hamburger he’s ever had.
Love this place. Food is always lovely and well-presented. We prefer a booth because of the noise level and we appreciate when they are able to accommodate us.
This was my first time at Temple Bar and I really liked the place. The decor was nice and the staff were very pleasant.
Food is a little basic, but it was not bad. The drinks are pretty good!
4 of us had dinner at Temple. The food was good, nothing too outstanding, but it would have been a more positive experience if the beer menu on the chalk board was up to date. My husband and son each had to go through several requests from the board before they got one that was really available. It seems like the chalk board should be easier to keep up to date. It's frustrating to decide on a beer only to be told they don't have that one.
I love this restaurant. This must have been an aberration the French toast usually melts in your mouth. It was tough and overcooked/browned. Awful. But the staff and manager were very nice about it. Am hopeful next time it will be great.
Menu and food have improved’ very good service & an overall fun experience..
We like temple bar because of the menu which has a variety of choices especially for vegetarians the ambiance and vibe is great and the service is always attentive and not too pushy what is also great is that they have free parking available which is very rare in Cambridge
Great little eatery with a cool cocktail list and a nice menu. Also reasonable and they have parking! Would certainly return.
Good food, great service, pleasant atmosphere. Would recommend highly.
Ambience and food was great. Waiter was just not very good and brought the overall experience way down.
Super super amazing spot!! Gotta love the food and beverages to come with, the selection was worth it and great date spot too!!
Our waiter was terrific. The a/c was too cold, everything else was good.
awsome burger , lovely beer , nice restaurant , good service , great array of beers and liquors, have to go back and explore the menu further
Great food, good outdoor seating on a nice day.
I have been going to Temple Bar for many years. I love the ambience. The service is always good. But some of the dishes have no flavor, such as the bean burger, margherita pizza and kale and eggplant meatballs. The muscles and fresh fish are good. I hope they will improve so that the menu is more consistent.
Atmosphere was fun, service was solid, food was very good. Only negative experience was the cocktails; they were awful. This was our second time going and so we thought we just picked bad drinks last time, especially since the ingredients in the drinks sounded really good. All 4 of us got different drinks, and they tasted like jolly ranchers with so much food coloring they were almost neon in color. We’ll be back for the food, but have learned to never get cocktails here.
The surrounding is pleasant, the food is good and the atmosphere is nice. Nice also tha they have sidewalk tables
One of our “go-to” neighborhood restaurants.
We love to come here for date nights. The fish is so fresh and delicious. The wait staff is fabulous. The ambiance is trendy, fun, but not too loud. I would highly recommend to friends.
We had a wonderful brunch. The waitstaff was terrific and very kind about our sometimes rather raucous behavior. The food was delicious, a perfect combination of savory and sweet. Definitely going back.
We always enjoy Temple Bar - the atmosphere is lively but not too noisy; the cocktails are very good and the food is consistently delicious. We sat outside and enjoyed the beautiful evening and had an outstanding waiter. We ate mussels (great sauce for dipping the grilled bread); pappardelle; lamb sliders and the panzanella salad. All terrific. And then the apple financier for dessert - perfect Friday night!
Reliably a good place to eat and drink with friends. Friendly, gracious atmosphere.
I have been to Temple bar numerous times before and always loved it. I haven't been in about 6 months. It looks like they have a new chef. The menu has drastically changed. I used to have problems picking what I wanted as there were so many options. This time, there wasn't a variety of good choices. I'm not a burger/sandwich girl. I liked the progressive dishes on previous menu's. My lamb dish was a pile of mush. The lamb was off of the bone and there was alot of fat mixed in with the good meat. The carrots and potatoes were also mushy. My husband's chicken sandwich was bland. My son's pizza was fine and the wing appetizer was really good. The server took a bunch of tables outside and was not present for us inside. I couldn't even order a second drink without flagging him down. It was very disappointing as Temple has always been a go to place for us and now we have to mark it off of the list.
Good food and good service; enjoyed the brunch on the patio. See you again.
Excellent value for the money. Food without pretense. Great staff.
The staff was very accommodating given that it was (admittedly early on a) Saturday night. Food was great as always, and the service was very friendly. Nice buzz for a noise level that did not interfere with conversation.
Food wasn’t as good as first time
Sat outdoors on a summer evening. Very pleasant atmosphere.
I recommend the restaurant based on previous meals—entrees. However, my husband and I felt like eating pizza. We had seen friends of ours there once and they ordered pizza, so we gave it a try.
Bad idea. The crust -no elasticity and no taste- kind of like cardboard. The toppings : way too much gorgonzola and mushroom on one, the other a bland version of a Margarita with sausage- So I recommend not ordering pizza and maybe it ought to be dropped from the menu if the dough and toppings can’t be mastered.

My fiancé and I came in for dinner on Saturday night, June 15th and had a great experience all the way around. Our server was very attentive without hovering and recommended some excellent small plate choices. We had great cocktails and dessert drinks as well; looking forward to coming back in the future!
Kale and eggplant vegan meatball was very tasty and different good menu choices for vegetarians. Service was friendly and attentive. Cocktails portions small and a bit expensive for the portion . Having free parking is a big plus
The food arrived cold and in desperate need of salt! The salad was so overdressed you could barely taste the greens. Also, what a waste of resources. The doors and windows were opened with the air conditioner on blast. We were sitar an OUTDOOR table and could feel the cold.
Positives- the manager took the bad food off the bill. They serve flat and sparkling water table side.
Visited the week before and felt it would be a good place for a birthday dinner with 8 friends. Noise level was low so we didn't need to shout across the table to be heard. It was a perfect dinner to a perfect day. My gf went to Square Root afterwards to hear Bob Bradshaw.
Food excellent as ever, but the service on this occasion was just terrible.
Temple Bar is our go-to place. We love the service, the margaritas, and the tuna poke. Desserts are amazing.
