We like temple bar because of the menu which has a variety of choices especially for vegetarians the ambiance and vibe is great and the service is always attentive and not too pushy what is also great is that they have free parking available which is very rare in Cambridge
Great little eatery with a cool cocktail list and a nice menu. Also reasonable and they have parking! Would certainly return.
Good food, great service, pleasant atmosphere. Would recommend highly.
Ambience and food was great. Waiter was just not very good and brought the overall experience way down.
Super super amazing spot!! Gotta love the food and beverages to come with, the selection was worth it and great date spot too!!
Our waiter was terrific. The a/c was too cold, everything else was good.
awsome burger , lovely beer , nice restaurant , good service , great array of beers and liquors, have to go back and explore the menu further
Great food, good outdoor seating on a nice day.
I have been going to Temple Bar for many years. I love the ambience. The service is always good. But some of the dishes have no flavor, such as the bean burger, margherita pizza and kale and eggplant meatballs. The muscles and fresh fish are good. I hope they will improve so that the menu is more consistent.
Atmosphere was fun, service was solid, food was very good. Only negative experience was the cocktails; they were awful. This was our second time going and so we thought we just picked bad drinks last time, especially since the ingredients in the drinks sounded really good. All 4 of us got different drinks, and they tasted like jolly ranchers with so much food coloring they were almost neon in color. We’ll be back for the food, but have learned to never get cocktails here.
The surrounding is pleasant, the food is good and the atmosphere is nice. Nice also tha they have sidewalk tables
One of our “go-to” neighborhood restaurants.
We love to come here for date nights. The fish is so fresh and delicious. The wait staff is fabulous. The ambiance is trendy, fun, but not too loud. I would highly recommend to friends.
We had a wonderful brunch. The waitstaff was terrific and very kind about our sometimes rather raucous behavior. The food was delicious, a perfect combination of savory and sweet. Definitely going back.
We always enjoy Temple Bar - the atmosphere is lively but not too noisy; the cocktails are very good and the food is consistently delicious. We sat outside and enjoyed the beautiful evening and had an outstanding waiter. We ate mussels (great sauce for dipping the grilled bread); pappardelle; lamb sliders and the panzanella salad. All terrific. And then the apple financier for dessert - perfect Friday night!
Reliably a good place to eat and drink with friends. Friendly, gracious atmosphere.
I have been to Temple bar numerous times before and always loved it. I haven't been in about 6 months. It looks like they have a new chef. The menu has drastically changed. I used to have problems picking what I wanted as there were so many options. This time, there wasn't a variety of good choices. I'm not a burger/sandwich girl. I liked the progressive dishes on previous menu's. My lamb dish was a pile of mush. The lamb was off of the bone and there was alot of fat mixed in with the good meat. The carrots and potatoes were also mushy. My husband's chicken sandwich was bland. My son's pizza was fine and the wing appetizer was really good. The server took a bunch of tables outside and was not present for us inside. I couldn't even order a second drink without flagging him down. It was very disappointing as Temple has always been a go to place for us and now we have to mark it off of the list.
Good food and good service; enjoyed the brunch on the patio. See you again.
Excellent value for the money. Food without pretense. Great staff.
The staff was very accommodating given that it was (admittedly early on a) Saturday night. Food was great as always, and the service was very friendly. Nice buzz for a noise level that did not interfere with conversation.
Food wasn’t as good as first time
Sat outdoors on a summer evening. Very pleasant atmosphere.
I recommend the restaurant based on previous meals—entrees. However, my husband and I felt like eating pizza. We had seen friends of ours there once and they ordered pizza, so we gave it a try.
Bad idea. The crust -no elasticity and no taste- kind of like cardboard. The toppings : way too much gorgonzola and mushroom on one, the other a bland version of a Margarita with sausage- So I recommend not ordering pizza and maybe it ought to be dropped from the menu if the dough and toppings can’t be mastered.

My fiancé and I came in for dinner on Saturday night, June 15th and had a great experience all the way around. Our server was very attentive without hovering and recommended some excellent small plate choices. We had great cocktails and dessert drinks as well; looking forward to coming back in the future!
Kale and eggplant vegan meatball was very tasty and different good menu choices for vegetarians. Service was friendly and attentive. Cocktails portions small and a bit expensive for the portion . Having free parking is a big plus
The food arrived cold and in desperate need of salt! The salad was so overdressed you could barely taste the greens. Also, what a waste of resources. The doors and windows were opened with the air conditioner on blast. We were sitar an OUTDOOR table and could feel the cold.
Positives- the manager took the bad food off the bill. They serve flat and sparkling water table side.
Visited the week before and felt it would be a good place for a birthday dinner with 8 friends. Noise level was low so we didn't need to shout across the table to be heard. It was a perfect dinner to a perfect day. My gf went to Square Root afterwards to hear Bob Bradshaw.
Food excellent as ever, but the service on this occasion was just terrible.
Temple Bar is our go-to place. We love the service, the margaritas, and the tuna poke. Desserts are amazing.
We chose Temple Bar over The Abbey because we could make a reservation on OpenTable and for a Friday night on a time constraint, this was important. We waited over 15min for out server to come to our table, I had to stop at the hostess desk to get someone to bring us water and then when the person came out with the water, instead of stopping at the tables that didn’t have water, they went directly to a table that had food, drinks and full water glasses and started petting and playing with their dog for a solid 5min until I politely asked if they could bring the water over as I was having a coughing fit and really needed water. They then, instead went to 2 other tables before coming to ours, this person was not our server, or a server as far as I can tell, but someone whose primary job was to deliver water to people’s tables. Our server was OK, no real complaints with the service from them. I ordered the Magherita pizza and it was very bland, lacked any hint of salt and the pesto was incredibly overbearing. Overall, I would definitely not choose Temple Bar as a first choice but as a last resort option if our other selections in the area were unavailable.
the manager and server were awesome
Started off with the hostess sitting me at a table even though I told her I was meeting someone. I was there 15 minutes before my guest who was sitting at another table behind a large drape sent me a text. Most hostess’ would have made the connection.
Food was good, service slow.
Perfect meeting spot. Great service with well prepared and presented food. The appetizer choices were limited, but they were unnecessary given the size of the portions.
We were there for Mothers day brunch. Everything came out cold. Fries were so cold, there's no way they were cooked that day. Service was good
This place is a gem
Great outdoor seating and parking. Food was creative, a solid 8/10 and the selection of small plates made things interesting.
Temple Bar has been our “go to” for years. Maybe it was just the new menu items that aren’t worked out yet. The baby gem salad was tasteless. The steak frites was tough and salty and the fries were a bit tough as well. Maybe just an off night . . .
I've enjoyed many dinners at Temple Bar over the years. But for this last visit, although the service was very good, as usual, the food fell short for me. My mushroom pizza was overpowered by the gorgonzola cheese. The dressing on my baby gem salad was watery and the portion size was very small. My companion enjoyed the Bronzini. I will go back again because of my past experience, but will avoid the pizza and the salad.
Great prices and good brunch options- normal breakfast/lunch foods and some unique dishes as well. The place is pretty decent sized as well, so it had a nice relaxed atmosphere.
