Temazcal Tequila Cantina - Framingham
This was my second visit to Temazcal Tequila Cantina in Framingham. The first visit was right after it opened. The service was poor...mainly a bad attitude from our waitress. The food was good..not great. My second visit this past week was not much of an improvement. After making a reservation through Open Table well in advance we were greeted by a not so nice hostess who told us we couldn't get a regular table and only be seated in the bar at a high-top, but after complaining she sat us at one of the many open regular tables..not a good start. Our waitress however was excellent this time. I ordered the Verde Enchiladas which came out burnt. I noticed the manager running around making sure the customers were taken care of but he never stopped at our table. Not a very happy return engagement for me.
Good was ok. Kind of an odd menu to me. Service started out strong then was non-existent. I was not happy with our meal and will not be returning

Food was fantastic and very substantial portions. Wait staff very friendly. Only disappointment was that our meal felt rushed. Our main course came out while we were still working on out appetizer, and our drinks didn’t make it out until after our main course arrived, so didn’t really have a chance to enjoy them.
Nice food, good drinks and service. Recommend using open table to do advance booking so you don’t have to wait.
Mediocre food. Waitor spilled salsa, splashed on us, our clothes and table. No one apologized. Understandably accidents happen. But NO apology is unacceptable. Waitor never came over to us and the hostess asked us if we were waited on yet
I’ve been to the seaport restaurant and it’s been great. I won’t return to Framingham

This is our second dinner at Temazcal. Another great experience! The food is delicious, the menu is varied, the service is friendly and efficient, and the ambiance is lively and warm. I would highly recommend Temazcal—-from the chips and salsa at the start, to the tasty desserts at the end!!
The entire staff was absolutely kind and accommodating. The manager, Aleks was just wonderful & friendly. Our server, Tony was very attentive to our needs & very helpful with selections on the menu.
Second time here. Food was excellent, service was exceptional. Martin was our server, and he was so pleasant and attentive. In addition, the manager and other staff helped out, so we never waited for anything. Will definitely be back.
Loved the food. Worth the prices! Did not love the margarita- too much OJ.
My husband and I had been to the one in Boston multiple times and always have a phenomenal experience, so we wanted to give the one in Framingham a shot. We were greeted by the host when we walked in, and she was extremely sweet and personable. Very much unlike our waitress, Caitlin, who has no personality and incapable of smiling. She was extremely stingy with the ice in our first drinks (iced tea and ginger ale). When she offered us a second round, we asked for her to fill our glasses up all the way with ice, it was only half full. As a bartender, that’s a huge pet peeve for me.
She dropped off our first round of drinks, and we were ready to order, but she dropped them off and didn’t even ask if we were ready. We placed our Order for our appetizer and main course. Yet it all came out together. By the time I finished the appetizer and got to my main course, tacos, they were cold, so I didn’t really get to enjoy them.
Halfway thru our meals, instead of asking if we were still working on our food, she simply asked “do you guys want boxes now?” There are so many politer ways to ask and not make your guest feel rushed and unwelcome.
Maybe I have higher expectations because I’ve been in the industry for years, or maybe because their Boston location is so much better, but I was very unimpressed by my experience there & will just go to Boston next time for a superb dining experience.

A little too spicy for two of the 3 at our table. If your not a fan of spicy don’t go.
I have been here four times now and it’s gone down hill each time, especially on the service end which was atrocious. The waiter brought out our entrees before our appetizer. When we said we’d like the appetizer first he looked put out and confused. When they came back the next time they brought the entrees with the forgotten app, and once again we had to say we specifically didn’t want them at the same time. He said, well I guess we can just find a spot to keep your entrees warm (apparently never considering his mistake might warrant remaking them). Less than 5 minutes later two other servers brought the entrees out yet again. We asked if we might finish the appetizer first and they asked us how long we thought that might take. We said maybe 5 minutes and they seemed to time it to the minute. Sure enough the plates were hot from the warming corner and the cheese and sauces of the entrees had crusted over, so they definitely didn’t think to remake them. No real apology was given. Nothing was taken off the bill. It’s not like they were very busy. A total of maybe 20 people in the place at 8:00 pm on a Tuesday. I guess they just couldn’t get us out of there fast enough. They don’t need to worry about us returning now.

Love coming here for a casual meal and a margarita (or two). The chips w three sauces are great. Tonight, the chow was excellent. Chopped salad, street corn very good. Loved the corn chowder... without the green chili's, which are too hot for my taste. Flan to finish.
Grains salad is all kale, no grains. Gross. Food was average. Service was INCREDIBLY slow. Hard to get water refills. Will stick to Margarita’s.

Amazing time, food, service and Tequila!!
Enjoyed the chicken fajitas. Interesting complimentary chips and dip. Server was fabulous! Unfortunately, it was very noisy.
Good spot. I really like the chips served with 3 excellent dips... bean, green, red. Street corn and the grilled chicken tacos, flan. Nice service.
TVs everywhere to a ridiculous amount, food just average, everything with an unappealing sweetness to it.

The salad was great but the “Grilled” fish tacos were steamed and horrible
Sent back and ordered chicken fajitas and they were the worst imaginable. An entire tray of sautéed onions and propane smelling and tasting chicken two small strips of pepper. Waiter very good and apologetic. I blame the chef
I went to a restaurant in the same chain Saturday night and had a complexly different experience
Would never go back to Framingham location but would frequent the restaurant in Dedham again

As always a great meal
The only complaint I had about our experience was the reservation process. When we arrived, they only table they had available was a high top table. I had made a note when I made the reservation that there were 2 children. If we didn't take that table they said we would have a 35 minute wait. We took the high top and then we noticed that a table needed to be cleared and that would accommodate us. However, we had to find this on our own. Once we sat down, the service was slow at first and then they were attentive and the food was good.
We really enjoyed the great service, welcoming decor/ambiance, and good food. Loved the nachos and three dips/salsas to start, the chicken nachos and the entrees--the food was so wonderfully presented too. It was the perfect place for a family dinner.

Overall we had a fantastic time. The food was delicious. My wife's salmon was overcooked but the rectified the problem very quickly. The only criticism is there are way too many televisions. It was extremely distracting. Luckily a table opened up in the front room so we didn't have to deal with that. But as long as you get seated in the non tv area it is a fantastic night out.
My husband and I met our friends here for dinner, it was our first time.
Great menu choices, love the chips / salsa / dip they bring at the beginning. We also got the guacamole for an appetizer, Really yummy!!!

Our server, Zoey was so friendly and helpful suggesting popular dishes. The price was very reasonable and the food was absolutely delicious.

The mixed grill was good, with a reasonable portion size.
With one soft drink each (we were two people) and tax + tip, the meal was almost $40 each. Seems excessive for a chorizo sausage, four small shrimp, about two ounces of chicken, and a big glob of mashed sweet potatoes. Everything was good; it just seemed overpriced.
Another fine meal here. Love the complimentary chips with 3 dips. Excellent margarita. The quesadilla, tuna stack, and taco soup... all very nice. Fine service.
