Our Head Chef, Hiroshi San, will prepare a multi-course seasonal meal, comprising the freshest seafood, meats and organic vegetables.

We will also be serving unique sake, wine & beer, imported directly from boutique Japanese growers.
Our intimate venue seats only 10 people, and you should allow 90 minutes. Authentic, elegant and friendly.

Do not sleep on this wonderful little Japanese restaurant. Michelin star service without the pretence and the most delicious home grown food from their farm in Sassafras. Everything is thoughtful and considered, right down to the crockery made in house. Respectfully, they’ve put many of Melbourne’s fine dining notables to shame. Keep it up guys! 👍

This is an outstanding restaurant - really an exceptional meal beautifully presented, the sake is polished to a t, dwtuals like the pottery, the chopsticks are delightful - and the modern jazz vinyls are ridiculously good. Our second visit last week will not be our last.

Absolutely a great place to enjoy everything. - delicious food - beautiful presentation - handmade ceramic dishes - home farm organic vegetables - lovely gifts - friendly staff A small venue only has 5 tables inside. With beautiful jazz music in the background. It’s a wonderful place to celebrate anniversary, birthday or any special events. Of course, also good when you want to enjoy some good Japanese food. Highly recommend.

This is a small, intimate dining experience where the staff are really part of the whole process. They really made us feel like family, showing how to roll the sushi, explaining each dish on offer and generally reaching out and being helpful. There is a beautiful complimentary sake on arrival plus a lovely canapé. This is followed by a plate of 12 small sushi fillings, plus a bowl of rice and nigiri wrappers from which you make (temaki) your own packet of sushi. This is followed by soup and noodles and a dessert. There is no option of what to eat - but everything presented was totally delicious, varied and aesthetically pleasing, so no need to change anything. Recommend this dining experience highly.

My son and I dined at Temaki Sushi on 3 May 2025. What a fantastic experience! The food was wonderful - beautifully presented, exquisitely flavoured and just right in terms of quantity. The staff were also excellent, and were clearly extremely keen to help us enjoy the evening. Excellent Saki too! Overall, this is a must-visit experience if you love amazing Japanese food.

We had an amazing dinner at Temaki Sushi. The food and drinks were beautifully presented on handmade plates and cups, and the experience of making our own sushi added a fun and memorable touch to the night. The Hojicha pudding deserves a special mention—absolutely outstanding! Service was excellent, reminiscent of the hospitality we experienced during a recent trip to Japan. Highly recommended!

If you're a sushi lover, Temaki Sushi is the must place in Melbourne. I had an enjoyable dinner last night in Temaki Sushi restaurant. Amazing meals and friendly staff created an experience that is both delicious and fun. The food is fresh, high quality, flavorful and well presented. Creating the sushi by our own way is a fantastic Japanese tour on your tongue. The chef and staff are friendly and attentive, they brought a perfect atmosphere to our family. 100% recommend Temaki Sushi!
