The Telefèric Barcelona doors were first opened twenty-three years ago, and finally the Telefèric family has landed in the states. Our passionate team in Walnut Creek has grown to include some of the world’s most creative and innovative chefs and mixologists, including two chefs directly from Barcelona. Our downtown location features the first second-story outdoor patio and bar in Walnut Creek, which is available for reservation in addition to our exclusive private dining room.
Our server, Leslie was very good. Didn’t bother us too much , and provided sufficient attention. We had ham croquettes- which were outstanding. Also had cauliflower, salad , Brussels sprouts , salmon & rib eye steak. The portion size of the rib eye & price was disappointing. Portion size could of been doubled. All other dishes were very good.
Great place for a night out. Terrific service and interesting, wonderful tastes.
The pulpo is a must get. But really all food and drinks are amazing. This is our favorite place in Walnut Creek
Great place and great food. It will cost you though.
Tapas were delicious and so were the drinks! Great Ambiance, but then they turned the music up, and it was so loud!! Couldn’t hear each other. Paella was not good at all. Rice was crunchy. We mentioned that and they took it off! Great service, excellent tapas! Desserts were good too! Can’t wait to go back!
Our server was amazing and spot on with all our recommendations. I’ve been here a couple of time and have never had a bad experience, but most importantly the food is always top notch. Worth every penny.
Wow, can't believe it took us so long to try this place. Went for a Valentine's day lunch and thoroughly enjoyed every part of our experience! We ordered way too much food and ended up taking two things home for dinner.
Great location and ambiance, and attentive staff, but food one step above bar food (heavily reliant on being fried and "sauced") - for instance, crab "coquettes" camouflaged by such - difficult to taste any crab. Cocktail was great (Mezcal).
Food excellent, atmosphere nice, service spotty. Wait staff pleasant but often had to be asked for water, silverware, etc. The food is delicious. Go
Fantastic atmosphere, great food and very attentive service. Will go back again for sure!
A little piece of Spain in Walnut Creek...great atmosphere and good energy. We had a great time and loved the croquetas and the grilled octopus! All the staff were friendly and professional with a highlight being one of the staff pouring a Spanish drink into our mouths while we tilted our heads back. Loved it!
It is loud inside the restaurant but it wasn't a real negative...we adapted as the night went on. Primary disappointment was the lack of Spanish vermouths at the bar; we were looking forward to some good vermouth.
Highly recommended and we plan to go back soon...
Total disappointment. Have been here several times the year the restaurant opened and had great service, hot food, and good experiences. We made a reservation 9 days ago for 3, celebrating our son’s 24th birthday, which I stated in the open table request as I asked for window seating in f possible. Arrived at 6:15 pm and were shown to a small, round high top table in the bar which was cold and drafty with a plastic cover around the opened area. My husband immediately rejected this table to which the hostess said, “this is all we have.” My husband said it wasn’t acceptable to which he was told no other table was available until 7:30pm. He said that would be fine and we’d sit in the bar and wait but they would be buying our drinks until then. He stayed we made this reservation over a week ago and mentioned we were celebrating a birthday, which apparently they didn’t seem to have in their notes. Suddenly the manager appeared and procured an empty booth in the dining room where we were seated. Since we didn’t know our drink order immediately, our waitress left and didn’t come back. After 25 minutes and two water fills, we asked the water person to find out waitress. We ordered the meatballs, chicken empanadas and beef skewers to start along with a round of drinks. The drinks were good but the food was lukewarm and so so, bland. The skewers were dry. Then we ordered the meat paella and literally found only about 3-4 pieces of meat in it, which wasn’t enough for my husband and son, so we ordered two more meat tapas. We asked that the hanger steak be cooked through -it came out rare, again lukewarm. I couldn’t eat it and waited for the pork belly which was dried out and very chewy, the worst pork belly I’ve ever had. For dessert we shared the churros which were the only thing I can say were “good.” The poor service coupled with the bland, over or undercooked meat served lukewarm just didn’t do it for me. We won’t be back.
My favorite restaurant in Walnut Creek! I have dined there on 3 different occasions. They have finally mastered roasted cauliflower! It was less than okay 3 years ago... now it’s perfect! All servers and dishes served will make you feel special! Customer service at its finest!
Great Spanish food at a fun location. Highly recommend the paella, empanadas, octopus and crab croquette with tuna. I also tried their Sangria Barceloneta and will be back for more. It was also nice that the server prepared a small sorbet for my birthday ! Recommend to try !
We had a 5:30 reservation for happy hour .
We were seated never asked if we were there for happy hour or dinner. When we ordered and asked for happy hour menu we were told you must sit on patio for happy hour . Hostesses need to ask if you are there for happy hour
Excellent in every way!
I read about the expansion site in Palo Alto in May 2019, so decided to try out the existing Walnut Creek location. Our lunch experience was FABULOUS on all fronts - food, service, menu, environment. The waiters were knowledgeable about the Tapas options on the cart. The Waiters were accommodating in accepting the discount flyer from the website. We ordered the Paella +Sangria special; what a fine deal!My husband and I have visited Barcelona and LOVED the food and people! This little establishment is like a microcosm of the Catelonian culture and city. I would love to be an Ambassador for the new Teleferic B in Palo Alto - just let me know how to promote it!
Amazing experience. Exotic but very palatable food w fun foood cart. Come willing to share! Great place if you want a new experience.
These are not traditional spanish tapas and that is a good thing. The food is very creative, and very tasty, beautifully presented, although I think it's a bit pricey. Every dish we had was "foodie" quality. And since I am a foodie, I will be back many times! My boyfriend and I had only 4 small plates and 2 cocktails and our bill was $102.00. Yikes!
Great food great service
Loved the Flamenco dancers! We did our two favorite dishes, then Pinchos. Fabulous!
We enjoyed the Monday night entertainment plus the Sangria and Piaea (sp?) special. It was terrific and we will go back, for sure.
I am writing about my first dining experience here. My husband and I decided to share a few small plates and we left, very full. The appetizer presentation is unique and educational. The food presentation also is fun and playful (skewers/smoked salmon, etc.). The Empanada was a bit over-fried but the sauce was tasty. The crab croquetas had a nice crunch to them and the sashimi was very delicate. I can't remember the rest of the bites we had, but there was one that mentioned mole, which I was excited to have. That dish in particular did not "wow" me, as I couldn't taste anything reminiscent of mole in it. The cocktails were beautiful and herbaceous in focus. Service was attentive and responsive. We will plan on coming back to try some of the paella for sure. A delightful night out.
We went on Super Bowl Sunday so it wasn’t crowded and noise wasn’t an issue. The servers were very friendly and came back frequently to assist. Food is tasty as well! Would recommend the lobster paella!
Great perfect and wonderful food prepared amazing
Wait to see what's on the strolling tapas tray before ordering! The food was great and we all enjoyed everything, from Tapas to the 49 oz steak we all shared. It's just that when they started rolling around a cart with tapas not on the menu, we were so disappointed because we'd already ordered so much and thus missed out on the "specials." Sharing in the name of the game here .. whether it's an appetizer, main course or dessert.
We're regular customers and Teleferic never fails to disappoint.
This is my third time at this location, but first time for dinner, everything was amazing and very tasty. Great service. Everyone went above to make our evening very special. Side note the food tends to be very salty which i know is part of the cuisine, so be ready to drink lots of water
Love this place for the ambiance/design, tasty tapas, nice service. Great cocktails and wine selection too!
Just not worth the cost.
Great place in the downtown area of Walnut Creek. Bar folks were friendly although drinks were a bit expensive.
We were seated for dinner in a side room and the lights kept getting dimmer and dimmer. Could not see our menu. Waitress told us the lights were linked to the lights outside on the patio. So if she turned the lights up, the patio folks turned it down. Not a great design.
Would have liked to be in main restaurant to enjoy the ambiance with the Spanish trolly over head.
Great service and gave us amazing service on our anniversary.
Our meal and service was outstanding. The lobster paella was filled with great seafood. The other paellas were equally good. The brussel sprouts and cauliflower were yummy. Headed to see the original Telefricin Barcelons!
Our server, Juan Carlos was very friendly and warm. His recommendations for drink and food was on point. My friend loves Bloody Marys but they do not serve that here and Juan Carlos suggested the spicy sangria and it was a big hit. Seafood Paella was delicious; the brussel sprouts are the best and a generous portion. We are looking forward to coming back.
We had the paella special in January. A personalized paella and glass of Sangria for $25, a good deal. I really liked the spicy white sangria option, it was different and tasty. The empanada was delicious. The paella was ok, I liked the lobster but the shrimp was very salty. I would try the restaurant again. Our server was very friendly and helpful.
If I could give 10 stars I would. Live Flamenco and delicious food with excellent service. A perfect Birthday dinner for two.
My son and I took my wife here for her birthday. First thing we noticed was the sound level — relatively quiet compared to many other restaurants we go to — we could actually hear each other! The squid ink paella was a bit on the salty side but loved the beef skewers and pork belly (not too fatty at all). The roasted cauliflower was really tasty (from a guy who is not into the veggies, that’s saying a lot). The crab croquettes were delicious. And finally the golden flan was to die for. The service was wonderful. Our server was very personable and helpful navigating through the menu. Will definitely go back.
We just discovered they serve paella, one of our favorites. The lobster one appealed to us although it was a bit pricey. It was very good, the lobster and shrimp were cooked perfectly. Not chewy but melt in your mouth. THE EXPERIENCE WAS SO GOOD, MY WIFE WANTS TO GO BACK FOR VALENTINES DAY. This time we'll try the black ink paella.
Early reservations made it delightful as our table(booth) was ready. Loved the vegetarian options like the cauliflower appetizer. Great cocktails!
Amazing service and every single dish we ordered was very tasty! Will definitely return!
