The Telefèric Barcelona doors were first opened twenty-three years ago, and finally the Telefèric family has landed in the states. Our passionate team in Walnut Creek has grown to include some of the world’s most creative and innovative chefs and mixologists, including two chefs directly from Barcelona. Our downtown location features the first second-story outdoor patio and bar in Walnut Creek, which is available for reservation in addition to our exclusive private dining room.
We've been here a few times. The atmosphere and energy are great, but this last time felt a bit rushed.
I am a big fan of efficiency, but food comes fast and they look to pickup plates before you've actually finished so it feels a bit factory-like and most certainly un-Spain-like, where everything is a much more relaxed pace :)
A little pricey for sure, but i love coming here. Great ambiance. Every time i bring a new friend they fall in love, too! We will continue to come back!
Too expensive for what you get. Overpriced by easily 40%. Dusty silk flowers hanging from ceiling. Much of the food is greasy/fatty. Their Romesco sauce is just sad. Paella is mediocre. Menu and interior needs a revamp.
Took very long time more than 30 minutes to get the desert, was given a table under the heaters in the roof. Wanted to get out of the place as soon as we can.
Food was really good! We were a little disappointed to be squeezed into a very small table that usually fits just two people (party of 3). It was just a tad bit too cozy with all the plates from the tapas style that they offer. Our server was friendly. Service fell short mid-way through leaving us without drink refills and having to ask another person to bring the check even though our server was circling our table. Guess she was just a little too busy helping the other guests to find time to give us attention. Overall we enjoyed the food, the drinks (would have ordered more cocktails had we been asked) and the ambiance (despite the table size). Give it a try!
Our first experience at this restaurant, and it was fine. We need to come back (which we will), to understand the dishes and the best things to order.
This is a fun learning curve, and I'm sure we won't take long to really understand how to gain full enjoyment.
Quality of the food was excellent, and the Sangria was great. Our decision to pick the Paella Carne was our mistake. There are better choices for us, but as I said, it's a learning experience. However it was fun, the tapas we chose were wonderful, and we'll be back for sure.
We had an wonderful dinner. Dessert was A+. Would definitely go again!
We took some friends to Teleferic Barcelona as a place to get a good meal. We had been there once, on a Saturday, and found the food great, but the place noisy. This time we were recommending it to friends and went on a Thursday. Much better, less crowded and less noisy. We were able to have a conversation. And the food was excellent as always. The server was Juan Carlos who was friendly without being too much in our face. The rest of the servers were helpful, too. We got the meat paella without the pork. We ordered the lasagna , which was listed as beef, but Juan Carlos asked the chief: it had pork. So we were able to order something else. Both accommodations were nice. All of us had a sangria, with 3 different ones amongst the 4 of us. All were good. We enjoyed our visit and will return. And our friends: they said it will be added to their list of favorite restaurants!
Well we had some tapas, they where really good, however with no one drinking alcohol, the tab was over $100 didn’t seem like any of us (2 adults and a child) was really “stuffed” food was decent and I enjoyed it, but the value was a little off
We had such a great time at Telefèric. Girls night out. We sat on the patio side and the food, vibe and service were fabulous. Our server, Evelyn was so upbeat and fun- just a doll and I can’t wait to go back. Highly recommend the octopus- it is one of their signature dishes and it’s to die for.
Such a great place to celebrate my birthday! Everyone was excellent and the food was amazing! I’d definitely recommend this restaurant for any occasion! All of my friends loved it as well!
We had a blast, fun crowd and service. We enjoyed the food, and they were great with accommodating allergies. The dessert was underwhelming.
Variety wines to choose from
All dishes are great
Service is friendly and attentive
Noise level is pretty high
TB lived up to its reputation. Excellent food and cocktails, good service, nice ambiance. Crowded and a little noisy but that's to be expected for such a popular establishment. My girlfriend and I will return soon with our daughters in tow.
It was a good place to rekindle a craving for Barcelona tapas.
Great place, outstanding service
It was our first visit but we will definitely come back. It was very reminiscent of our time in Barcelona. Great food with great ambience.
We had nice experience but we were greeted at the door with "oh it's you that I spoke to earlier today, I was about to call you". We arrived on time but were checked in couple mins late due to customers in front of us. We weren't happy where we were seated, esp we made the reservation. Got a missed call from the restaurant 20 mins in and thought that was strange. Next morning, we got an email saying that the restaurant marked us as no show. This ruins our feeling.
Awesome sangria and food! Thanks for a great time!
Great tapas and drinks... with fantastic service and ambiance 😁
Food was good, but the slow service would make me think twice about coming here again.
We had an excellent experience! The food was delicious, the servers were very friendly and attentive. I really enjoyed the flamenco show from Caminos Flamencos. I am definitely returning!
Since we were there on a Monday night, the restaurant had flamenco dancing. My husband and I were there with our daughter and son in law celebrating our daughter’s birthday. I had asked for a table in an area that was quieter since we weren’t interested in the dancing. They did accommodate us with a table in another room by a window. The service was excellent. Her recommendations were spot on and she was very attentive. Splitting several dishes gave us a chance to try many dishes. The food was delicious and since our daughter and son had been to Barcelona they had high expectations of authentic Spanish food. They weren’t disappointed and neither were we. We’ll be back!
Great place with unique food! One of the best place in the area! Recommend!
I'd wanted to try Teleferic for some time, and finally had the opportunity. I wasn't disappointed. The food was perfectly executed, beautifully plated and represented with care by the server. The menu is a touch modern and fusion oriented, but diverse enough for adventurous or picky eaters. One of the sign of a truly talented kitchen is the ability to render tender octopus and theirs is perfection.
The wine and cocktail list is small, focused and well priced. An excellent variety of both domestic and spanish selections are well represented and presented at the table.
The dining space can be a bit loud, so I'd recommend the enclosed patio if you can.
I have been to this restaurant multiple times. I always take friends and recommend it. I made a reservation for Saturday night. We were seated on the outside right next to the bar. All the large groups waiting to be seated came to stand by our table and were obviously having loud conversations that we couldn’t hear each other. The server seemed disinterested in being there. And this was my first unpleasant experience. It really killed the vibe for us and we cancelled our other plans from the frustration and headed back home. The food is still the same. Nothing new. The empanadas have regressed in flavor and have a rough texture. It’s time to move on from them. I don’t think I will be going back or recommending them anymore. Thanks while it lasted.
Terrific all the way around. Good food, service and ambiance. It's a busy, bustling, restaurant. The energy feels terrific.
All good, they change up the items on the menu, sometime cook them differently. Def a place you want to go.
It was a birthday dinner. Food was great. The lobster paella was the best and we also shared the pork belly and cauliflower. The only problem was the noise level. It was impossible to have a conversation as it was so loud and we were in a “quiet” corner.
Our experience exceeded our expectations! The cocktails were fun and the food was outstanding! I recommend the paella and the pork belly!!!
This is one of our favorite spots in Walnut Creek to enjoy friends
It’s a great spot and the staff is professional and friendly
Delicious food, excellent service, phenomenal drinks, and mouth watering desserts. I love this place. It’s perfect for date night, girls night out, and it’s even family friendly.
Great place!Amazing food and drinks. cant wait to go back for another girls night out
Always fun...great food!
Wonderful ambiance, excellent service and delicious food and cocktails, we had meat paella -delicious, flatbread, Brussels sprouts, lg prawns, Iberico ham, shrimp tacos, everything was delicious, Catalonia G&T fabulous, will def be back
It was absolutely delightful, from the time we check in to when we left. Everything was on point, I rarely stuff myself but this night at Telefèric was an exception, the server Pablo B was outstanding, excellent presentation and representation of the restaurant KUDOS!!
Food was very good. Service was outstanding. Great place to have Spanish tapas
Wonderful experience, awesome staff, salmon tartare is highly recommended.
This restaurant is top of the line. I was looking to find a Spanish restaurant like this a long time ago. This is the one. Fortunately is close to my home address and I could go at least once every 2 month. Is a bit pricey 140$ -150$ for a couple of two. The plates are small. But the food is excellent . I recommend the Octopus and the Lobster Paella. I had other tapas that were excellent too. The attention from the waitress is very good. In general this place should be a must go restaurant near San Francisco CA.
