Birthday Celebration Lunch
This restaurant was listed as "casual elegant". We were seated next to THREE huge tvs blaring a baseball game. This is more like a sports bar with loud tvs blaring and poor service. We ordered about 8 dishes and all the food was delicious. However our waitress disappeared and we had to wait over 15 minutes for the check. My nephew had to get up and find someone to take his credit card. We waited another 15 minutes for it to be returned. Also we were seated next to the sliding window which the waiters and busboys kept opening and closing. It was very cold. Not a very nice "special occasion" as it was my birthday! To top it off, I recd an email when I got home stating that we were no shows! Would not recommend.
food was incredible...get the SPICY Pepper Vodkas Sangrias...THE BEST
We were seated on the patio and the tapas carts were not brought to this area. If I had known this when seated, I would have asked for an indoor table.
Took my wife here for our 17-year anniversary. Food and service was excellent as always. However we were a little disappointed that since we made our reservations and mentioned it was our anniversary I thought it would have been a nice detail for the restaurant to present a free dessert. We still will continue to dine here and entertain our friends and family.
Great food and spanish wines. The cheff Jordi was amazing, come to the table to say hi. Great service!
Overall food was moderately good except Kale salad was very bland. Sangria was very good. Service was the best part of the dining experience.
Excellent food and service. Will definitely go there again.
Nice to eat on the patio with warm weather and good food east of the tunnel!
We had a magic moment
Surpussed all our expectations
We are coming back.
Mas excellente! It is so nice to discover a great Spanish restaurant. Quite reasonable, too. You will enjoy it.
well I already did this and not changed my mind since my last review two days ago. I think this place is great. the building itself is something. love sitting outside on the rooftop area. great!
Nice experience. Friendly staff.
Another great time at Teleferic Barcelona. We went early for dinner and were able to pick where we wanted to be seated, opting for the outside bar area. Sangria was ordered, refreshing on a hot day and we put in an order for some tapas. The patatas bravas never disappoint and the shrimp tacos were excellent. The coquettes also hit the mark. The empanadas were a little disappointing and I thought the hangar steak could have been more flavorful. We enjoyed some churros for dessert, which were excellent and left stuffed. I was a little disappointed that the cart with the pinxtos was not brought around, as our initial order was light as we wanted to see what the cart had to offer. Luckily, our waitress was on top of things and always made sure to check in with how we were doing. You can’t beat the location, overlooking downtown Walnut Creek, a perfect date night location.
It was a beautiful day. A bit hot but tolerable. We were a group of 4. My choice for beverage, SANGRIA BARCELONA was tasty so I ordered a second which was disappointingly unlike the first. My first dish, the Galician grilled octopus had a tasteless texture of pulp on a equally tasteless salty sauce. The second dish, Foie Gras, was over cooked and had none of the accompanying flavors promised by the menu.
We all enjoyed our server. Great attitude, friendly cheery. We left with a pleasant spirit only because of her. With so many interesting menu items, I am willing to try Telefeic Barcelona again hoping it was just a bad day in the Kitchen
Amazing food, amazing sangria and the hosts and servers are wonderful. Authentic Spanish food, absolutely delicious. Try the lobster paella. It is simply divine!
Best Spanish food I've had outside of Spain! Spanish daughter-in-law agrees and Spanish trained chef son agrees! Staff was amazing, food was authentic and out of this world!
We'd my birthday here. I really enjoyed the food. But, the Flamenco dancers & singing was a real special treat. All their foods were tasty & good.
Good experience, nice place, good food friendly staff, and good service.
Date nights we are always trying new places. This restaurant was fun. We got a great table by the window. The best things we ordered was the chicken empanadas and shrimp tacos.
A great place to hang out with friends.
Food and service were great. Outside it can get a bit too loud.
Liked it both for lunch and dinner. Nice, lively atmosphere and great Basque type cooking.
Food as always good, but the food came out lukewarm, should have been hotter.
Authentic tapas--always good, and they even rotate in a few new ones every so often. Grilled octopus is a must-have!
Variety of menu options, shared plates and creative cocktails in a beautiful indoor/outdoor environment.
Lived up to expectations. Noise level too loud, music too loud
Love this place! Tapas dining experience is awesome. Service is professional and friendly. Atmosphere is really enjoyable and energetic. And Monday night Flamenco is an added plus for one's dining experience. Overall...really felt like the staff was glad to have me their at their restaurant.
My group all had a wonderful time and loved the food.
Food was not good. Many dishes came out cold including the ribs. The saving grace was the server came and corrected it quickly. Surprisely, the kitchen decided to only heat up the remaining ribs vs presenting us with a new plate. The other ribs sat cold on our plates. A lot of potential but lacks the execution.
There were 6 of us for a birthday lunch and we all had a great time. The food was very good and the service amazing
Great one. The one of best restaurants. Love to there
Very loud drunk party next to us took away from ambiance this visit. Food always wonderful. Our waitress was terrific
Food is so so. Octopus was good. Flatbread and Mediterranean not that great. Red wine by the glass tasted like the bottle had been opened for a few days. This is my third visit and I don’t plan on returning
A Little loud. We were seated under a speaker. Music was loud. Prefer different dining music. Not enough to not recommend though.
I have been here about 5-6 times and each time the food has always been so delicious and such a great experience!!! Any occasion can be celebrated here.
Our second visit. First time was great - food, service, environs. This time much less so... food was inconsistent (duck was tough, chewy, lots of gristle; salmon was overwhelmed with the pork and seasonings; octopus still a winner as were the empanadas, flat bread, scallops.) Service - we felt rushed and two of our wine choices were not in stock. But the real clincher (would have been 4 stars up until now...) was that instead of telling us they were closing (it was 9:30 PM on a Tuesday), they just turned off all the lights! We were entertaining out of town guests and we were more than embarrassed to say the least. A simple "We close at 9:30, sorry" would have sufficed. Seriously.
Service was slow, we sat there for 15 min without anyone asking if we needed anything. Food was not as great, shrimp tasted dry. I doubt I’ll be back.
Telefèric is one of our favorite restaurants in the Bay Area, and the Pulpo is one best dishes anywhere. Our most recent visit was enjoyable, but the squid-ink paella was disappointing. Way too salty and a bit soggy, the seafood was overwhelmed by the rice. Both of us were dehydrated and suffered indigestion during the night, literally leaving a bad taste. Paella should be a signature dish at a Catalan restaurant. I hope the chef will correct this. We will definitely try again.
Cocktails and food were terrific. Service was poor. Never received the last cocktail we ordered. Rarely saw the waitress to refresh drinks and silverware.
