Telefèric Barcelona Ratings and Reviews
i was very disappointed last Sunday with the food, we were to celebrate my birthday but food was very flavorless, nothing taste like the last two times i was there, maybe has to do with the day, looks like Sunday is slow and the chef on Saturdays was off, food in cart was awful everything was cold, presentation wise was mediocre just desserts were good.
We had the Brussels sprouts, grilled octopus and patatas bravas from the menu and selected 3 pintxos from the cart - salmon with avocado, sweet potato/cream cheese (?) and tortilla espanola. Churros con chocolate for dessert - it was hard to decide between that and flan or crema Catalana. We were just too full to try more than one dessert. A person in our party also had The Spanish Merchant cocktail and loved it. We went to Barcelona in October 2017 and this was our Spain redux meal - it was very good. We remembered the grilled pulpo Gallego in particular. The service, ambience and food were all good - a great reminder of a wonderful trip we took to Barcelona, Madrid and Bilbao - eating tapas and Pintxos. Thank you for not offering pan amb tomate (bread with tomato purée), it was our least favorite tapa in Spain.
Even though we were running late, the staff at Teleferica Barcelona greeted us warmly.
It was difficult to hear my wife over the din of the large, drunken group of patrons near us. The music that we could hear was beautiful, fun and romantic. We enjoyed several delicious tapas and shared a fantastic, buttery smooth lobster paella. I wish we could have arrived earlier so I could have enjoyed more drinks. The sangria was one of the best I've ever had. We topped the dinner off with a sumptuous orange flan. I would definitely like to return.
I am not from this area and found Teleferic Barcelona through Open Table. We absolutely loved this place! Everything was Outstanding! Starting with a Viura white wine and Spicy White Sangria....both were excellent! My husband is not adventurous so I ordered the Octopus, which was cooked perfectly! I also ordered the Foie Gras, which was perfect too! He ordered the Chicken Tacos and Empanadas. I had a bite of each and both were excellent! I liked the Empanadas the best! Service was excellent and the Chef asked how everything was as we exited. The kitchen is open to the dining room and I thought that was a nice touch, how friendly the chef was! We didn't go outside, but I understand there is a rooftop bar which sounds fun too! I'm bummed I was so hungry that I forgot to take photos, but the presentation was excellent too! I can't wait until my husband works up here again....I'll be meeting him at Teleferic Barcelona!
We went on Valentines Day and were pleased that there wasn't a special menu. We ordered 1 tapas, 2 main courses and a dessert and everything was delicious. Paella is one of my husband's favorite dishes. He thought he was ordering the traditional paella as his main course. We ordered a flatbread as an appetizer and I ordered the sea bass with Brussel sprouts as my main course. The classic paella arrived about 5 minutes after the waiter took our order. We figured it was a mistake as we hadn't gotten our flatbread tapas yet but it was no mistake. When the big pot of paella is ready the chef yells out and it is scooped into the bowls and delivered to the tables. When we go back to this restaurant we will specify that we do not want the paella served so quickly. We want the tapas first. I tasted the paella and it was very good with lots of seafood and meat. My husband who is the real paella aficionado loved it. The flatbread came out when my husband was half way done with his paella and was very good. They also seemed to have a cart with tapas that were not in the menu but disappointingly it never made it to our table. My fish was quite tasty but could have used a but more spice. Also, by the time I got it my husband was done eating so I ate alone. We had an order of churros for dessert. They were creamy on the inside and crispy on the outside and were very good. They were served with 2 dipping sauces. The chocolate sauce was good but the passion fruit (I think that's what it was) sauce was really sour and unpleasant. If I were to order the churros again I would ask for additional chocolate sauce and tell them to hold the passion fruit. Lastly I had a glass of the traditional sangria and it was great. So, there were a few missteps but I will go back wiser next time (and I will definitely go back!)
Jason our waiter was wonderful. A group of us ladies are always looking for a great restaurant to have Sunday brunch and this fit the bill. We had a great time and the food was outstanding. Definitely coming back again and telling my kids about how good the food it and the cocktails were tasty too!
Food was amazing! The Jámon Iberico was as good as I have had outside of Spain, the drinks were amazing, and the service was nothing short of excellent. Although the resturant was loud at times, it was never loud in an annoying way, the place with filled with laughter and fun latin music which the servers would ocassionally start danicing to. Would reccomend to anyone looking to have a fun night !
Wonderful food (octopus was fabulous), great service and overall great time was had by our group of 8. They went above and beyond when I noticed the next day that they had included a gratuity on the bill while I had left a large cash tip (which meant I ended up giving ~45% tip). When I called the next day to see if they could reverse the included gratuity on my credit card that I had over looked, they said of course they would. I so appreciate it.
I went to lunch with a friend. This was our first visit. The restaurant has had a lot of PR lately. The food that we had was not too spicy and very flavorful. We had the Teleferic flatbread, the garlic prawns and a boiled egg Pintxo that was brought to the table before we ordered. I never drink at lunch but had to try the Sangria which was excellent.
I love Teleferic, their sangria is the absolute best. Also, if you haven't had the pulpo it's an absolute must! Unfortunately, when we ordered the pulpo this visit it came out undercooked. We sent it back and were waiting for a new one. The manager then approached us and told us he ran it to the wrong table and it would take a bit longer. No big deal, but by the time we received it we were almost done with our meals. Also, it came out undercooked again. They didn't take it off the bill or ask why we hadn't touched it so that was a bit unfortunate. Other than that, I love this restaurant and it's great for a special occasion or just a night out on the town!
My cousin and I sat for a full 3 1/2 hours in a comfy booth and caught up. The service was excellent--attentive, but also gave us our space. The waitress brought a sample to try of their signature octopus.
We were disappointed the lobster was not in in time for lunch, but had excellent back up choices. I think the huge garlic prawns, while excellent, were a bit tough. The beef skewers were tender and full of flavor, the chicken empanadas spicy (in a good way) and light.. unlike most empanadas. The items brought around on the cart were appealing.. we each got one, but the waitress's explanation was too fast and she seemed a bit disinterested.
Too much ice in the sangria, but delicious.... I really wanted more liquid!
Churros were light and very yummy.
We sat there long enough to hear certain songs again... that was kind of a turn off. The music track lost its excitement and novelty quickly after that.
All in all... liked it a lot and will go back.
