Chef Dale Nutt, and owners Mike and Cyndi Day, created a menu inspired by regional products such as Alberta bison and AAA beef, free run chicken, and Catch of the Day. Our appetizers feature small and shared plates and follow the same theme with meat and cheese boards, house smoked trout, and bacon jam.
Our service team are here to ensure you have an enjoyable, relaxing dining experience. Cheers!

This was a fantastic meal and the setting is wonderful. I will definitely visit again next time I am in Jasper.
Wonderful restaurant off the beaten path. Food was superb
The restaurant did not return my email in regards to the menu and if they had any gluten free items available. I had the catch of the day which was fine (but not outstanding) . My husband had the bison short ribs where were also good but not great. The cheese platter was $32 and absolutely not worth the money. Our waitress was hurried but pleasant. For what we spent, it would have been better to go into Jasper proper.
Excellent meal in a beautiful setting. Would highly recommend.
Excellent service with amazing food. Portions were sized perfect for us to share so we could try many more dishes.
The food was delicious. Service was great. Has some fun with the waitress
Will be eating here again next time In Jasper area
Excellent service and food. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Jasper
Excellent dinner and wonderful service
Excellent food and service! Great atmosphere and customer service.
Very clean, croissants where fabulous
Food was fantastic. Fresh, plentiful, creative and tasty!!! Servers were excellent!!! Just awesome all round. Outdoor seating was in such a great setting. Coffee was nonstop. Music was great and not booming. 60s my fave!!!
Excellent service. The breakfast was fantastic. Five choices, generous servings of excellent quality. Service was exceptional!!!!
Beautiful dinner with wine outside on the patio in the mountains on a rare sunny evening. What more could one ask for? Chicken was delicious.
Was looking forward to this meal but was sadly disappointed with the quality of the entree. The striploin cuts were not the best, not cooked to order and there was no sauce or gravy. Jacket potatoes were dry and the salad was ice cold. I could have cooked a better meal myself and the price certainly did not reflect the experience. Will not eat here again I’m afraid.
The food was exquisite and so was the service! We would highly recommend this restaurant when you are in Jasper!
Visit here every year, this year we sat outside as the weather was great. Location can’t be any better!
Very nice setting and social distancing was in place. The food was for the most part very good, arrived quickly and hot. However, the Bison Short Ribs, were very tough, which was disappointing as we were told this was one of the best dishes on the menu. They needed at least another hour of some sort of cooking to be tender enough to serve. If this is the normal way that these are served that should be acknowledged when ordering.
Great food with excellent service. Our waitress was terrific. Tekarra never disappoints! We enjoyed a glass of wine after dinner overlooking the river.
We enjoyed our meal. It was not mind blowing but lovely. It came highly recommended so we went it expecting more I guess. The baked Brie was expensive. The dinner entrees were nice but pricey.....
All in all a great meal but once again not incredible
Great meal as always and you won't get better staff anywhere.
Enjoyed a lovely meal in the patio! Great food and wine options, beautiful restaurant in a lovely mountain setting. Re-opened during the pandemic and servers were all wearing masks, hand sanitizer available both inside and outside. Loved the tomato and couscous salad as well as the lemon curd for dessert!
We were delighted with every course of our meal, the service was delightful and the charming historic cabin was the perfect cap to an evening in Jasper. Not to be missed.
Lovely friendly staff, great meal, cute lodge setting
Lovely steak, really great flavour and meatballs fabulous, sweet choice a little simple but again delicious x
The staff were excellent, we were looked after by a guy from Perth and a girl from Bournemouth. They were both very friendly, efficient and helpful!
The only thing that was good was the service and two tiny pieces of wild boar belly. We ordered the Brussels Sprouts, wild boar and beans, trout roll, kids chicken fingers & fries and The Bison Short Rib. Everything tasted terrible and was over done, the short rib was super dry you couldn’t hardly chew it. I’m very disappointed that we wasted our money there. We should have went back to Evil Dave’s.
It was just okay. Terribly expensive for what you get. I would of thought a warm piece of bread would of been nice and a starter salad. We also had to tell the waitress to turn the music down. We won’t go back
Dinner was ok, waiters were pretty scattered
Excellent and creative food. Had the Rainbow Trout entree and Lemon Curd dessert. Both were excellent! I highly recommend this restaurant!
Everything we ate was superb. Service was excellent. Will definitely go there again!
The building smelled like a horse barn. It was very cold so they sat us by the heater that didn’t work. Food was over priced but was not our taste.
This was our first time eating at the Tekerea Reaturant and it will not be our last. The meal was delicious. Our server was also very attentive (nice gentleman visiting Canada from Australia). Considering this was fine dining, it was very good value for the cost.
Thank's for the 5 star review of Tekarra Restaurant. We'll pass along your positive comments to your server, he's a great guy.
Delicious food, quaint setting in the Rocky Mountains.
Thanks for the 5 star review Roxie. Tekarra Restaurant is open for breakfast and dinners from late May-early October.
The sign outside says "lodge dining hall" but the food is anything but! Really delicious tried many things with a party of 5 and all excellent. Cocktails were nice as well with what appeared to be many local ingredients. Definitely recommend if you want to escape the Jasper summer crowds
Outstanding food against the backdrop of the beautiful mountains surrounding Jasper, AB. Rustic ambiance among the pines if you choose a seat on the patio. Friendly staff members are attentive without being obsequious. I highly recommend the trout sushi roll, the poutine, and the lemon curd dessert.
Food was very good
Enjoyed dinner here recently. Expensive, but most restaurants in the area are just as expensive. The bison short rib and the ribeye steak were both very good. (If they ask if you would like to add bacon jam; know that they charge extra for it). The most delicious part of the meal was the wild boar belly appetizer. (Probably not good for you, but I could have had a mess of that for an entree!).
A very good meal with a very interesting menu. The service was excellent and very friendly. Some very unusual (to foreigners) items on the menu which were very enjoyable. All round a greatly successful evening.
Located in Tekarra lodge, great food and wine, service excellent, the Bison short rib was great
Excellent service and an unpretentious atmosphere. Really delicious and fresh menu with wonderful wine, beer, and cocktails. Loved our server. Great place and unbelievable view.
Meh? Food was expensive but I've had better. Had high hopes given descriptions and marketing, but unfortunately Tekarra didn't live up to the promise.
