Ted’s Bulletin - Downtown Crown
We serve breakfast, lunch and dinner every day. Whether it’s family dinner, business lunch, or just a Ted’s Tart and coffee to-go, we’re as adaptable as your life is dynamic. Our breakfast menu is available all day because we believe that the most important meal of the day can be had morning, noon or night.
Ted’s Bulletin is a haven for comfort and celebrating the things we have in common: a hunger for good food at great value, a need for a place to be comfortable being ourselves, and a desire to connect with our community. At Ted’s Bulletin, everyone has a table, and every table has a story to tell.
Service was good and friendly and prompt. We both ordered the tomato soup and grilled cheese for lunch. We didn't love the tomato soup. It was overly salty.
Food was great. I loved the duck wings!
We met there to chat and get caught up. The food was excellent and the atmosphere was very good for having good discussions. Thanks!
Straiight forward comfort food. Nothing out of the ordinary--at least in what we ordered. Our server had problems keeping our order straight. We asked for additional syrup and gravy but did not receive it until we finally caught the eye of a manager and requested it from him. It came right away. We received juice we did not order and then were charged for it, even though we had declined the juice. He did not ask at the beginning if we wanted separate checks so we had to request the bill be split when he took it back to remove the juice. When he left the bills (one of us was paying by cash), he took the credit card one but never came back for the cash. Another server took the cash but brought it back stating he couldn't find the server. The original cash did not contain the tip so we wondered if that was why he brought it back???? Either way, not good service.
Nice family restaurant with a diverse selection of drinks, breakfast food (served all day), entrees, and other delicious food. My personal highlights were the pop tarts and carrot cake. Staff were all very friendly and attentive. One negative was that the menus were sticky. Overall, great experience and we look forward to going back again.
Our group met for an early dinner at 3pm, and our server while friendly seemed distracted and unconcerned about everything. The entire experience felt off and uneasy. The staff where cutting up and being rambunctious which spilled out into the dinning area. At one point a staff member was popped with a dish towel and the “F” word was heard by everyone at our table as he ran out of the kitchen into the dinning area.
Also, when the charcuterie plate was served it was minuscule, seriously, perhaps a tablespoon of pimento cheese, less than an ounce of chopped ham, two biscuits, two thin slices of pickle and two boiled eggs all for $11+ which left 90% of the serving plate empty.....it looked pitiful!
My salmon while cooked perfectly was also surprisingly small, served with a few carrots for $18. I will say that one member of our party had the meatloaf and he was very happy with his food. But one out of five does not make a successful dinning experience.
I was very disappointed, this was a special occasion and I had made the suggestion based on excellent experiences with Teds Bulletin on 14th St. in DC. I hope they pull it together and improve, but I’ll go back to DC before I’d go back to the location in Gaithersburg.
I love the relaxed feel to this place! Comfortable, friendly
Overall, a nice place to dine with friends and/or loved ones. The food is good, they serve breakfast all day long, the waiter was pleasant and accommodating and they don't rush you out of there once you are done. I would recommend Ted's Bulletin.
No table service ( no water )for 15 mins . Made staff aware we were waiting to be served for an additional 10 mins
At this point we just left after 25 mins total. Parties who came in afterwards were served before we left.
After long discussion we decided to give Ted’s another try after a long time away. Menu change and portions smaller, meat loaf used to be awesome but now mushroom gravy topping, yuck. The best Tater tot’s in the world over cook not the same place anymore at all what a shame
Food and service were excellent. Love having ability to order breakfast all day. Great Ted's Tarts!
The food is always good. The portions are definitely adequate, but make sure to save room for homemade pop-tarts at the end!
Try the pancakes, you'll be glad you did as they're WONDERFUL!
Davon (spelling?), our server, was fabulous! Food a great, thought a mite salty. A bit pricey for meatloaf and salad...
Asked for crispy bacon and got perfectly crispy bacon. As always a solid meal with good quality food, very good service and good atmosphere.
Great service and the food was good. The milkshakes are a little pricey.
Good food, minimal wait to be seated. Friendly staff, typical diner experience.
What a delightful experience. The atmosphere was fun and the food was delicious- very high quality. We look forward to returning here often!
Positive experience! My wife had really enjoyed the ambiance!
Excellent service this time and enjoyable environment for a family get together’s and birthdays. I might recommend that they heat the pop tarts, just a suggestion.
Ted’s is a favorite. It’s that go-to spot for good food and great company. I ordered the French Toast and my friend created her own protein-friendly program plate. The service was excellent. We received our food promptly and it was good and hot. (I hate cold food.) The music was just loud enough; much better than many places that feel like you’re in a club vs. a restaurant. All in all, a great meal.
French Onion Soup was awful, pretzel and cheese dip was very small portion for cost. Hot Chicken sandwich had flavor but was over cooked and dry.
Hello, we appreciate your feedback about the food. If you have a moment, please reach out to us at jomidian@salisholdings dotcom to discuss.
Nice menu, friendly staff. However, when I sent a drink back as it was so full of pulp I literally couldn't drink it, they charged me for it anyway. Suffice to say I was disappointed and reflected that in my tip.
While the food is nice, it is pricy for what it is. It isn't an especially fancy restaurant, but they seem to think they are based on the price tag.
Try the beer cheese fondue, it's easily the best I've ever had anywhere.
Overall, it's an okay place to go. Their long islands are good and the bartenders know what they're doing, but that experience with the strawberry lemonade soured my opinion considerably.
Hello Nicole, we appreciate your feedback about the cocktail. We are actually rolling out new cocktails soon! Would it be possible to invite you in to try one on us? If so, please contact us at jomidian@salisholdings dotcom
We stopped by for breakfast on a weekday and it was a good experience. Server was knowledgeable and helpful. Food was good value for the price. We would definitely go back.
The food was outstanding...really nice home cooked meals/recipes. Service was very good. Atmosphere was comfortable and casual. Really nice evening.
Food good, service excellent. Disappointed they removed chicken noodle soup from the menu.
Great food for the price and excellent service.
Our dinner food was 45 minutes late so all my scores above are 2 stars or less. The server was very apologetic multiple times and offered a free dessert but it was not a good experience seeing the tables near you receive their food before you and especially since those tables were seated after me. Also, we were seated by the kitchen line and it was very noisy and busy although we made reservations days before our visit.
Great restaurant! Totally different than anything I’ve experienced, yet familiar. Takes the diner feel we all kind of love and notched it up and delivered a great vibe and fantastic food!!!
Even though we had a reservation and no wait, took almost 20 minutes to get a server. The server didn't bring straws, didn't ask if we wanted water, forgot to bring out the fruit for my son as requested because we'd be waiting for food, and didn't remember to put in the shake after our food came out. No soda refills. Food was hot, but uninteresting (average). Overall, not worth the $50 it cost for the two of us to eat a weeknight dinner.
I took my two young boys and we had a great dinner. The boys were happy with there meals and my server was attentive. Nice time!
Our waiter was great and very attentive. The food was delicious, and the ambiance great. We will definitely be back.
The service was very good, the food is above average but could use some finesse
Plenty parking nearby casual atmosphere and good value.
Love the meatloaf and burgers at Ted’s Bulletin, and so do the grandkids! The prime rib special was also very good. But what I love the most is the caramel macchiato milkshake! Add to that some really good service, and you get a good meal every time!
Always enjoy eating at Ted's - good food, great service.
Good portions and fun atmosphere.
Food is very tasty. Scratch made food allows for exchanges. Highly recommend their milkshakes.
Food was great and appreciated the several gluten free options. Waiter was really great and attentive, provided honest answers to questions about the menu and made the meal more enjoyable. Will be back.
We came with a party of 6 with a wide variety of food preferences. The menu had something everyone liked. Chicken and biscuits was not great, biscuits were bland and dry. Our waiter (Marty?) played along with my brother-in-law who likes to get to know the waitstaff, and make bad puns. The seating was not overly crowded together which was nice. We enjoyed our dinner very much.
Our waiter was not friendly. Did not smile and was reluctant to get us what we needed. The waiter did not thank us after our meal and ruined our breakfast experience.
Good food, but not worth the money. Service was incredibly slow.
