Breakfast was fantastic!
Got a late reservation after arriving in Ballston late in the evening. Chicken Tortilla Soup and loaded Tots were an awesome snack. My husband loved his burger!
We loved the food on our first visit but this time the whole experience was off. Took an age to get food and all items were cold. Being seated next to the expo, I could see our food be removed from the window and sat to the side, so it was no surprise that it was cold. Once notified, I will say that the manager and staff did everything possible to get our food back out and correct and to try to make up for the failures. Service to correct the issue would be 5. Overall, a lot less.
Always a great experience here. Food is great. Drinks are amazing.
Great service and good food.
Margaritas were small. Deviled eggs were disappointing because they were bland tasting. Chili was good. I gave it a B grade. Chocolate cake was not as moist as usual. Cobb salad had overcooked chicken, lettuce was tasteless, very little bacon - overall, not as good as the the cobb salad here normally is.
We normally have loved the food here. This was the first time we were disappointed. Perhaps they have a new chef?
Ted's is certainly a boisterous place during Sunday brunch. That wouldn't necessarily be a bad thing if it delivered. Our server, while very nice, was rarely seen. We watched our drink order sit on the bar for approximately 15 minutes and when we asked she made an excuse and delivered the now watered down drinks. We ordered some of the Ted's tarts which were pretty good. The problem is that we ordered them as part of our meal and they arrived at the end in a togo box with no explanation. The rest of the food was fine for a gutbuster breakfast but nothing to write home about.
The waiter I received took long times to bring things out. The food I had was the Filet Mignon. The steak taste like all charcoal no flavor no actual taste. The salads needs a different dressing. The bacon in the ranch mixed with onions in it is not a salad dressing to me. My partner had the steak Fritas. He asked for well done it came with blood still in it. Then next took it back and it came back again burnt now with charcoal marks. And no flavor. I would not recommend my friends or family or either come back again.
Popular brunch spot redefines comfort food. From the smart, vaguely Art Deco interior to the artisanal pop-tarts, Ted’s guests luxuriate in a heady swirl of urban sophistication and nostalgia. The staff is well-trained. The food is familiar and updated in delightful ways. It’s a bit pricey — and a good value.
Our party had a great time, as usual. We highly recommend this restaurant.
I dined with a friend who likes a cocktail before dinner,I do not drink.I mention this because my friend likes bourbon and ordered an Avenue Smash while i had a blackberry lemonade. My friend,s drink did not contain any bourbon! Yes we should have said something at the time especially because we were charged $10.00.My friend doesn,t like to complain and she kept trying to decide if it was just a weak drink,I tasted it and thought there was a little alcohol in it.Anyway the food was delicious ,our server very nice.We are both seniors so loud factor which you term energetic is just too much noise for conversation.MY friend and her husband have a condo in Ballston and family who live and work in DC so maybe a gift card for a real bourbon drink? Thanks Lucinda H.Peterson
The food was good, not outstanding. Noise was excessive--it was hard to hear the waiter and the bass of the overhead music was too loud.
Good breakfast menu, similar to its Namesake on 14th St. in Washington. Very good service, especially considering how busy it was. Was glad to see they have plenty of seating in booths.
The only complaint, really, is the noise level.
Great breakfast on a recent Saturday morning - place was packed so a reservation is recommended. Service was exceptional and food delicious. Noise was loud, hard to hear our own conversation at the table.
This is one of our favorite restaurant. The service and staff are always outstanding, professional, pleasant, attentive.
There wasn't a whole lot of value to my meal... for $20, I was hoping for a more substantial meal and certainly more then 4 thin slices of tuna over rice with very little the sticky garlic sauce.
My friend ask for a small substitution; mashed potatoes rather than pasta with her chicken piccata. After the waiter trying to bring us someone else's meal, what she received was chicken piccata over a diced baked potato.
It was breakfast and we had a pot of hot coffee on the table within minutes. When the breakfast came it was exactly what we ordered and it was hot ... perfect! Love the poptarts!!
Why are you playing club music at a breakfast spot? You guys don’t market yourselves as a brunch spot so don’t try to give that vibe. Music & bass were way too high to even enjoy breakfast.
Worst service I’ve ever had. Had a 7:00 reservation and waited until 7:30 to be seated. Waited a half hour after getting food for the waiter to come back and get drink refills. Wanted to order milkshakes to go and the ice cream machine was broken. Won’t be back.
Excellent as always love TB and it's staff again as always
Thank you David for your feedback! We appreciate the kind words! :)
Ted’s Bulletin has a great staff and wonderful food. We eat there consistently and have never been disappointed.
Great ambiance and wonderful service! Food is always delicious.
Was disappointed in my meal. Had the Monte Cristo which is a fave of mine. It was very small and misshaped on the plate. The hashbrowns portion size was big but bland. No taste really. Nothing else came with the meal. And, the oj was bitter. I expect more from TB. Thanks.
Fries say gluten sensitive but they’re made in a frier that fries breaded foods. I told my waitress I had a gluten allergy and wanted fruit instead and a gluten free bun. The food arrived not gluten free and with fries. Luckily I noticed, but was frustrated that even though I made it extremely clear I had it an allergy that the food came out wrong.
It was fun but so difficult to hear companions or servers. Prefer Ted’s Bulletin downtown location
Our food took over 40 minutes to come out. The tables around us received their food before us which made no sense.
I was really excited to try breakfast here. My husbands food came out cold and my food just was not good. Over priced and not worth it.
Felt rushed by the wait staff, poor quality food and way overpriced drinks.
Had a very nice lunch with friends. Great spot, good food and easy parking.
Our recent trip to Ted Bulletin's could have been a disaster. However, the manager, Kendall, stepped right in and made everything just right.
We were able to sit outside and the food was delicious. Excellent service! Thank you Jocelyn!
Our server and the food were outstanding even with it being crowded due to homecoming at the high schools.
We enjoyed our breakfast at Ted’s Bulletin. It was pretty busy but overall worth it. The Ted’s tarts were tasty as was the biscuits and gravy. The server did get the egg type wrong but we didn’t mind. The sausage could probably use a bit more spice. My daughter enjoyed her pancakes and the Bloody Mary and mimosas were good.
Food was good, service was okay. It was very crowded and there was no beeper system to call patrons when a table was available. Therefore, the hostesses had to rely on remembering faces of guests to notify them of when their table became available.
This was second time here and the food was soso.
We met old friends and really enjoyed our time together. The hostess made sure we would have some privacy and we had a very good waiter.
Very good comfort food, great service and an upscale restaurant feel. Definitely worth your time for lunch, dinner, or even a drink.
The bowl of chili was wonderful, as was the Chicken Piccata, which I had also ordered six weeks earlier, but it was soooo good then, that I ordered it again this visit. The chocolate cake slice is HUGE, and sufficient for two or even four people to share.
