About Teca Restaurant & Wine Bar
Teca is derived from three words. The first, paninoteca (panini bar) incorporated our more light fair and Italian tapas style dining. secondly, the word enoteca (wine bar) where we host one of the premier wine lists of the world featuring wines from our vineyard in Tuscany Casali Di Bibbiano. Finally, disctoteca, our night club venue upstairs known as Mezzanine. This space also lending itself to private functions of all kinds. At Teca, we pride ourselves in serving only the freshest and most authentic high quality ingredients around. In addition to our mouth watering menu items, we compliment our cuisine with an array of fine wines, refreshing eighteen tap beer selection concentrating mainly on European and American micro-brews, and extensive variety of fine liquors from around the world. At Teca, we believe that food and drink are one in the same and that quality should never be sacrificed.

Teca Restaurant & Wine Bar Ratings and Reviews
NIGHTMARE!! Teca needs to figure out if they are a restaurant or a bar. Last night my family, including my 2 kids ate dinner there. We had a 6:30 reservation. By 7:30, the bar was full of drunks who were loudly cursing. Patrons were walking out, and management, including the owner did NOTHING about it. I guess the bar tab money is more important. Food was average...you can get a much better experience heading into Philadelphia.
My date and I had dinner on a Friday and asked for a booth, but were told that booths were used for parties larger than 2 on weekends. ..
I ordered the short rib special and was surprised how expensive it was when the check came. It was good, but nothing to rave about. Will still go back for their appetizers.
I feel bad for driving by this place every time I go to West Chester. The ambiance is great, the staff know what they're talking about and the whine is outstanding. I highly recommend this place to anyone in the Chester County.
We had a WONDERFUL time at Teca. Five of us were meeting and had not seen each other in a long time. We took forever to order because we could not stop talking! Our server was so patient, kind and happy and really took amazing care of us. We ordered several different drinks from beer to wine to martinis to mojitos..all were perfect. Our food was outstanding. Really, really amazing! We were seated in a cozy booth which was perfect for catching up. I HIGHLY recommend Teca and will be going back!
One of my favorite places to dine. Always a great fresh menu. The food is prepared well and served hot. I love the wine list options and they serve great cocktails. Additionally, the location, staff and service is one of the best in West Chester.
Despite reservations, we were shown to a small table in the corner. Since the restaurant was almost empty we were able to get a better table. The staff does not offer any information about the menu and overall it was not a pleasant experience, we will be spending our money at other West Chester restaurants
Teca was a very nice, hip place. I enjoyed my time very much. The Risotto special was not that good. The shrimp was cooked to perfection - but the risotto was not flavorful or cooked properly. However, the baby octopus appetizer was divine! We were a table of 10 (on a Friday night) - and the staff accomodated us as we wished - which was totally awesome! I'd def come again for sure! Our waiter was great - we were a large bunch so I'm sure it wasn't easy...
Typical Teca, that is, very good. Outside dining this visit. Server Jonathan was very attentive. After we were seated, friends walked by and staff quickly accommodated our request to be moved so we could be at a table for 4. My aged sirloin steak was cooked to perfection. My wife's lasagna was very good. I opted for the wine from the owner's vineyards in Tuscany. Sorry, I don't remember its name. Though I'm usually not a fan of dry reds, this one was very good. Teca's consistency is to be commended.
The food was creative, artfully presented, and as always, excellent. But, our table and its location left much to be desired. We made reservations a couple of days ahead and took friends from out of town, excited to show them one of our favorite local restaurants. When the hostess lead us on a winding trek through the restaurant that ended up in the tiny space next to the wine coolers, we were dismayed. We were seated at two tiny tables pushed together and crammed up to benches against the wall. There was so little room between the table and the wall that I couldn't even remove my sweater. If our spouses sitting in chairs across the table had backed up at all, the waitresses would not have been able to get through. And the fact that there were several others in the tiny room made for lots of noise. Our guests were visibly not impressed. When my husband complained about our seating, he was told that because there were parties of 6 coming, they needed the bigger booths and tables in the main dining area. I wonder who had made reservations first! We will return to Teca because the food is very good but will tell them if we need to be stuck in the windowless room, forget it!
We celebrated our daughter's birthday at Teca last weekend and found the restaurant to be fabulous. The food, although a bit pricey, was excellent. We all had different things from a grouper special to pasta and they were all great. The appetizers were also great. Highly recommended for any special occasion or date night!
Teca is far and away our favorite restaurant in town full of great options. They consistently deliver excellent food, wine, and service. This trip we were able to enjoy the outside weather. The owner recommended a seafood special. The swordfish served over a saffron risotto accompanied by the family vineyards white wine was perfect. The branzino special was also fantastic and filleted flawlessly. I highly recommend the family super tuscan red wine, Argante. Older vintages are drinking very well, but the most recent vintage (Robert Parker 98 points) decanted is a great option as well.
A bit disappointed in this dining experience. We were seated at a very small two top right on the major traffic route of all the servers. I had asked to be seated at a four top next to the wall but the maitre'd said that he couldn't give up the table for just the two of us- so we sat in the traffic lane with the floor bowing and rattling our dishes every time someone walked by. We did notice that the same person sat a party of two at the very table I had requested about 20 minutes later. 😣
We ordered a bottle of wine and several tapas dishes and our waiter seemed to forget about us after the salad course. We had to remind him that we were waiting for our next items after waiting 20 minutes after they had cleared the salad plates. Had to ask for bread which arrived after the salad dishes had been cleared.
As I mentioned, we had ordered a bottle of wine but we had to set it on the floor because the tables was tooooo small.
The cheese board was pretty small and could really be a star if they revamped it.
Just can't endorse this restaurant.
We dined here on a Saturday evening with another couple and were able to eat outside. Our waiter was very friendly and very knowledgeable of the menu and choices to go with. The appetizers and food were delicious. And the strawberry margarita was perfect. We will be back.
We were there for the wine and food pairing- Amazing food- I give cudos to the chef but a bit pricey
Food courses included scallops with a lovely fava bean puree (our favorite), lamb bolognese over a homemade crepe, filet with mushrooms and blue cheese, yummy
the only miss was the dessert- Chocolate - Budino? Loose chocolate pudding with blueberries- very strange, I did not like it!
Overall excellent- Good service
The Darioush Wine Pairing was Amazing!
Another very good dinner at Teca. The burrata special was excellent. Seafood risotto was good, the seafood mix was also good (not what it is called on menu, but it is a mix of shrimp, calamari, mussels, clams in a red sauce). It continues to be one of the pricier venues in WC, tough on the wallet, but good food and service.
We have been here many many times! We have always very pleased. This was a unusual situation that they did not honor a reservation request I made special 4 days ahead of time. I would absolutely recommend Teca, but may not count on a special occasion request
