This is a great spot for any occasion, food was delicious and the service was top notch.
Ester our server was amazing
The bottomless mimosas were amazing they didn’t skimp in the alcohol. I would highly recommend it for brunch and the ambiance is really nice for a party for a birthday brunch which is what we were there for.
It was chilly on the patio. We said something to waitstaff to move the heaters closer and they said they couldn’t. We were also right next to a group who rented part of the room for a private birthday party. I’d specifically asked to be in an area that wasn’t that noisy.
We visit Teca a few times a year, but we really should dine there more. We have always have delicious food and terrific service every time we dine at Teca :)!
This place is always dependable for good food served in a very nice setting.
Excellent stop for a special experience. New barmaid was a pleasure to speak with.
Our reservation was for 7
We were sat at our table at 7:30
We ordered immediately and our food came at 8:40.
Appetizers were delicious (stuffed eggplant and the special burrata).
Our entrees were a different story . My Halibut was a very small portion and quite plain. My husbands chicken parm was tough. We go to West Chester at least once a month and have never been disappointed. Newtown Square was not worth the trip.
Our lunch was wonderful. Food was great and our server was excellent. Love TECA
Brunch never disappoints 🤗 Avocado BLT is highly recommended.
Everything was great but the noise level and ability to hear each other in the room behind the check in desk was too much to take.
We go to Newton Square TECA frequently and have always had wonderful meals. My husband is a very picky eater, especially regarding Italian food and he loved his angry crab pasta. My bronzino was excellent. I had a crab/scallop/mushroom baked app that was fantastic. My only complaint was the very loud environment. We will be back and probably request the smaller dining room.
Awesome New Year’s!!! Highly recommend it! Delicious food excellent D. J. AWESOME staff and made wonderful New friends
Always excellent! Best lobster bisque and fish entree. Special occasion menu is always good.
New Years Eve
Teca - New Year’s Eve- my husband and I arrived on time and were seated on time. The porch had propane heaters that caused the temperature to be entirely too hot. The fact that the restaurant was using propane heaters in an closed indoor environment makes you question the safety. The service was good however the food was really bad. The romaine on a salad was at least 6 inches long and made it very difficult to eat. The calamari was undercook. We ordered our food and the 1st course was served in less than 5 minutes. Then less than 5 minutes later our entries were served. Cooked to order, I think not. The pasta was over cooked and cold and the chicken parm was cold in the center. The stuffed flounder was so over cooked it was not edible. If my husband did not know that he ordered flounder he never would have been able to identify the type of fish or stuffing.
The prices were inflated based on the date, I really wish they could have served a meal that was worth what we were charged.
We will not return!
Service was amazing and fast! food and drinks were great. Didn’t feel rushed and felt valued. We have been to Teca multiple times and haven’t been disappointed at all. One of our favorite restaurants! Truly recommend
Excellent all around. Service, food and cocktails. Will be back
Great food and great service... as always!
Food and service were outstanding. We had the risotto special and the New York strip special. Both were absolutely delicious. Service could not have been better. Johnny Sandoval provided the best service we have ever had a Teca. Service is always been outstanding but Johnny was at least a notch above that.
Never sat on the porch before -was warm and cozy for Christmas Eve. Excellent food, service -perfect was a great choice for a special night. Thank you !
My family went to Teca Newtown Square on Christmas Eve for dinner. It was less than stellar. Our waiter was gruff and not at all friendly. The first thing I asked was if the bread he brought had any eggs in the recipe (my son has an allergy). He tersely responded, "I don't know" and that was that. No, "I'll go find out" or anything. His whole approach the whole night made the entire table feel like we were inconveniencing him by being there. This location is always busy, but it wasn't full by any stretch. We had a 6:00 seating. My wife also has a gluten allergy...as in full-blown celiac. They were completely out of gluten free pasta and again the waiter's delivery of this information was very matter-of-fact (bordering on rude) in telling my wife that there are a bunch of gluten free options on the menu. He did not help point any of them out. My brother-in-law asked for a seltzer and never got it. I got the lobster ravioli for my meal that was supposed to have shrimp on it. I had about 4 tiny shrimp and nothing about it tasted of lobster. It was a very good...cheese ravioli, but not what I think of when I order lobster ravioli. La Locanda makes a proper lobster ravioli dish (such a better restaurant from the ambiance, to the service to the food). At the end of the meal when the check came, the waiter's tune changed wishing us a happy holiday and all that..as in he wanted a nice tip. We dropped $400, left feeling dejected and definitely won't return for our annual Christmas Eve Dinner.
The food was great, although I was given one glass of water and the waitress never came around again except with the check. Aside from that, great food, atmosphere, and value.
We met a couple we’ve know for years at the bar. The drinks were well prepared and our bartender was helpful. After drinks we went to the main dining room for dinner. I have to say the decor takes some getting used to. But our server was eager to help and we all got drinks.
I ordered the veal chop $34, and it was enormous. Tasty too. The offered a double chop but it would have been way too much. My friend ordered the steak, also large. But it had a bit too much sauce for my taste. He indicated that he liked it but took half of it home.
The ladies both had pasta. Teca pasta is always very good.
The other Teccas in West Chester doesn’t serve crusty rolls but this one does and they were very tasty. It should be mandatory that Restaurants serve rolls.
We finished with a shared cheesecake and coffee. The bill was $238 for the four of us. Add the bar bill and it came to $300 plus tip. Just be aware, good food costs money.
Teca continues to exceed expectations. Owner Alberto always stops by the table to make sure everything is satisfactory. IMO his presence is the reason this large and busy restaurant seems to run so smoothly. Longtime server Nico is a true professional....so personable and expert at his craft.
Our meal was great; server was inattentive; when we first arrived, noise level was acceptable with few in the dining area, but as more people arrived it became very noisy. Situation was about to become worse as a band was setting up in the next room. We could not hear each other talk near the end of our meal.
Food was delicious as always however we had 5:45 PM reservations and it took more than an hour before we got our entrees. The area of the restaurant we sat in, by the fireplace, was extremely noisy and loud and hard to have a conversation.
Teca is a nice place for a quiet lunch with friends. Unfortunately this time the waiter a accidentally spilled to full glasses of soda on me. While I understand things happen, we were only compensated with the price of our 2 wines. The waiter continually apologized while I tried to wipe off the sticky soda.. which wasn't even ours.
The comp of at least my meal would have been expected. Other than this, the atmosphere is fine and the food good for the price.
We had a very relaxing and delicious brunch experience. The bottomless Mamosa's were great!
Thank you Teca for providing a great Thanksgiving meal ! Very appreciative of the staff that worked.
3 hours for meal. Super slow service
We made reservations for the Thanksgiving day dinner, mainly because we had the choice of the special Thanksgiving day meal or the option to order off the regular menu. However, when we were presented with the dinner menu, we noticed several items of interest were not listed for the day. Since this left me with few options, I reluctantly ordered from the Thanksgiving menu. The server was helpful in pointing out some choices I could order without dairy, but I'm pretty sure the smashed potatoes were made with butter. I enjoyed my field greens salad. However, when my second course arrived, I was disappointed that the brussel sprouts were such a small portion and the turkey was not a good cut. Also, the turkey and vegetables were lukewarm at best, while the stuffing and potatoes were more than warm enough. Likewise, my adult son, who along with my husband ordered from the a la carte items, remarked how fatty his veal chop was compared to a well known steakhouse he frequents, and the temperature of his food was lukewarm as well. My husband had no complaints about his entree, and both he and my son were pleased with their appetizers. Unfortunately, the menu was too limited for my preference.
With beverages, our bill totaled more than $200.00. For that much money, we would have expected better quality food.
As always Teca was fabulous. I had the lobster ravioli which was delicious. The ambiance was great as alway. The staff are always wonderful.
I know many people stay home for thanksgiving, and I realize that’s more the norm. When the person you love who hosted the holiday passes away... it’s just not special to stay at home for the event anymore. For the last 4 years Teca has helped to make the holiday more than bearable, everyone is so kind and the ambiance makes it so cozy. Thank you for the hard working staff for all you do.
As always, food was excellent, and service outstanding. Nice quiet room with nice folks surrounding us.
Odd place. Extensive wine list with expensive wines ranging up to $500. But menus and tables look beat up. Food selections are somewhat limited. Not as good as I was hoping.
The food is great, the service was good and it is a very nice place. Very large. Big portions for brunch and bottomless mimoas (and I am sure other drinks). I found Teca when I was looking for places to hold corporate dinner events, which I will also be booking with Teca. My only criticism was that three large parties were sat right around us (a table of two) making it very hard to hear my brunch companion.
It was my fiancé’s surprise birthday party. The staff was very accommodating with a large group. They had seated us in an area with space so we wouldn’t feel too crammed. Everyone was able to walk around and talk and overall everyone had a good time. I will definitely be returning!
I went there with family, our meal was delicious. I would go back
