Established in 2017, Téatro Bar & Restaurant is the sister business to the nationally recognised Barn Theatre, located nextdoor to Ingleside Hotel in Cirencester

We pride ourselves on offering a unique dining experience; offering quality, sourced produce formed into exquisite menus, alongside carefully crafted drinks, all served by our wonderful front of house staff.

Our stylishly designed restaurant and famous outdoor area, The Firepit, sit either side of our relaxing bar where live piano fills the air. Teatro is the ideal venue for any occasion; a birthday, pre theatre dinner, or a drink with friends.

Had high expectations for this restaurant but left feeling disappointed. We were allocated a table right by kitchen door in a separate section to main restaurant which felt like we had been put in a corner out of the way. The starters were ok but the mains were not great. We had the chicken dish which came out very small with no potatoes and no sides offered. The steak and chips were really overcooked and the cauliflower dish was really dry. We then had desert one of which was the ice cream sundae which was like something you served at a children’s party with icecream a blob of strawberry jam and some hard cake and sprinkles with at £8.50 was very over priced. All in all I felt good was poor quality for the price paid.

Has been a couple of years since we’ve been to Teatro having gone regularly in the past, but I’m afraid to say we won’t be back. It’s gone from a menu driven restaurant with variety and interesting dishes to try (and that were Italian themed) to something forgettable but still charging a price. Service could have been better too: don’t expect the dessert menus to be put down whilst half the main course plates are waiting to be cleared, nor a dessert coming out 10min ahead of the drinks that were ordered by the other guests for their dessert course. Shame, used to recommend this place.

My partner and I both had the steaks which were lovely, both cooked as required. Would have preferred more mushrooms as served with just one small piece. Everything tasted perfect though so would recommend to all.

4 of us enjoyed different starters and mains. All were delicious and of a high standard. My own beef shin croquettes with marmite mayo were very tasty, and the pork chop was beautifully cooked and enjoyable.

Very good food and service, but the noise level was high due to no soft furnishings, carpets curtains etc, or noise reducing surfaces.!

We didn't think the menu was as good as on previous visits. Maybe we are more fussy in.our old age! All the arrangements and service were excellent.
