Our server Wilson was wonderful!
As always, food was delicious and service was great. We enjoyed ourselves fully.
We always have dinner at Teatro after seeing a movie at the theater next door. Sarah, the hostess, knows our favorite table, the wait staff knows what we like to drink, and everyone is accommodating about making changes to our entrée selections to meet dietary restrictions and allergies. We have never had a disappointing meal at Teatro. The atmosphere is sophisticated, yet welcoming and casual. They never rush you. Teatro is a great choice for both small and large parties. If you are in the theater district or downtown Boston, don’t hesitate to dine at Teatro.
We had a lovely dinner before going to the show. I loved that there was a choice for a half portion some of the options. We started our meal with the arugula salad which was wonderful. We all had the Bolognese which was delicious. We were almost done with our meal before the grated cheese arrived. We had a little trouble catching our server's eye and barely made it to the theater in time. All in all a wonderful visit, but I feel the server could have been a little more attentive. We will certainly return.
We love this plsce
Great food great drinks the staff was fantastic!!!
Good service, friendly waiters, excellent variety on the menu, small portions are the right size and wine selection was great.
Perfect pre-theater restaurant. Great service, cocktails and food. - nice crusty bread to start. Shared the antipasto di Salumi - just the right size for a nibble for four. We especially like the fresh pastas and the small size is just the right amount. Prices are mid range for Boston. We will definetly be back !
Too expensive for me unfortunately!
Excellent dinner and service.
One of my favorite restaurants before the theatre! This time veal saltimbocca was over cooked and dry so that was disappointing. Other entrees were fabulous.
Always a delicious meal and very fresh food. The service is very good and attentive.
Love that there are so many small plate opportunities. Gives a chance to try more items.
They have impossible meatballs - IMPOSSIBLE MEATBALLS. It was wonderful for vegetarians and good for vegans. I asked them to make me truffle oil past with spinach and mushrooms. 👍
Everything was perfect from ambience to service to food.
Great food, great service. We were seated earlier than our reservation, which was really helpful. I do have hearing issues, so was worried about the noise levels - the levels are pretty loud (as with most restaurants in Boston) but I did ok hearing in my restaurant program on my hearing aids. So I guess it wasn't too loud.
Perfect for pre theatre
Delicious food and very attentive service
Fantastic bartender and food with great service at table and great drinks
Nice place. Very convenient in theater district. If you want a quiet romantic meal this is not your place. It's very crowded and loud. This is not a negative against the Teatro. Just a heads up in case your are not a fan of loud and "cozy". The food and service are good.
My second time at Teatro. From wine to dinner to dessert, we were impressed with the quality and attention to detail. Our waiter was wonderful and it was another memorable meal. I live in Maine or I would come more often. Highly recommend this wonderful restaurant!
Convenient to the Emerson Colonial theater for a pre or post performance dinner. Reservations recommended. Food was good, but a bit inflexible on substitutions. Noise level was very high making it difficult to have a conversation.
We went to Teatro after a matinee performance at The Emmerson Colonial Theatre. We arrived shortly before opening (4PM) and there was quite a crowd gathering in the small vestibule outside the entrance, which was heated but very hot. The line extended outside as well. We were worried that service would be slow because everyone was arriving at once. The doors opened exactly at 4PM, and we were seated right away. The waiter came to our table quickly with menus and to take drink orders. It took a while before we were able to place our dinner order (others had already been served)- but once placed, the food came fairly quickly. The iceberg salad was a twist on a traditional wedge salad, and very good. Portion size was just right- not a dinner size salad, but as a first course. My friend ordered the chicken parmesan with a special request that was correctly prepared. I ordered the half portion of spinach ravioli. Everything was served hot and was very flavorful. Presentation was average/fine. The fresh bread was delicious and served with what seemed to be a hummus/olive oil combination. The bus person was quick and efficient, refilling waters and taking care of replacing silverware etc throughout the meal. Overall, it was a great meal and we both felt like we would go back again for pre/post theatre or other occasions.
Great atmosphere and the mussels were unreal! I will be returning next time I am in the area!
Celebrated Valentine’s Day a day late and everything was perfect! From the great service, lovely antipasto, amazing wine and delicious pasta we couldn’t have hoped for a better experience!
Always an amazing experience!
We were sat very quickly upon arrival, as we had a reservation. Service was very professional and smooth! The food was great.
My experience at Teatro was disappointing. I thought the food was simply average while the prices were high. The prices were in line with other good quality Boston restaurants, but I did not think the experience at Teatro was of that caliber. I will not be going back and I will not recommend Teatro to anyone as there are so many other great places to eat in the area and they are a much better value.
Food and service excellent. Really nice decor. But noise level unacceptable
We were seated quickly and served right away. The food was delicious.
I enjoyed my meal, my friends and the speed in which they served us (this was pre-theatre crowd). My major gripe is that I paid a LOT of money for the Wednesday special of spaghetti and meat balls. AND the portions were very small for the high prices. I'll eat at Teatro again only because it's convenient to the Colonial Theatre. Otherwise I would recommend or go there again
Perfect spot for dinner before a show or movie.
Great food and service. We hope to return soon.
Delizioso! From the fresh bread, to the flavorful salads, al dente pastas, crispy chicken parm, tender seafood, even the impossible meatballs... all so good. Charming atmosphere, great service. Will come back often, if we can get a table.
Loved it. Antipasto vege was wonderful. Risotto and rollitini great.
we had the pork shank and the pasta bolognese, both came out piping hot and delicious. The place was a bit loud but expected for a Saturday night but we had a table against the wall which was quieter and so our group of six were able to speak and converse. The prices were reasonable and the waiter was attentive and very cordial.
Amazing food and service as always.
Good v crowded spot for pre theater but they know you are on a deadline and they ask you and make it happen we got the eggplant rollatini and Aroncini for apps v small but good. then we split an order of the gnochi with mushrooms and truffle oil they were just OK. It is crazy busy and loud luckily made a reservation on open table
We go before our Boston on Broadway events. The food selection is very good, the fresh pasta is great, the wine selection is very good and the service is very responsive
