Besides the obvious, great food and service, they held my reservation for an hour as we were stuck in traffic. So appreciated this gesture as we also had 8:00 theater tickets and didn’t want to have to find another place to dine. They saved the night !
Wish I could give more than 5 stars for Wilson our server. He was so attentive and knowledgeable for menu choices and wine pairings. Food was delicious and beautifully presented.
The food is very good as always. Piping hot straight from the kitchen. Initial service was a bit slow as we came in toward the end of the pre-theater rush. Very attentive as the crowd thinned out. Teatro is our go to restaurant downtown.
The food is terrific here. Even though it is primarily Italian cuisine, I usually have the salmon, which is really spectacular—caramelized skin and perfectly cooked. Service is attentive and timely.
Love the food at Teatro. Our go to dinner spot after a movie next door. Good drinks. Great service.
They squeezed us in last minute for a reservation. Our server Wilson was fantastic, and went out of his way to make our anniversary special! And most importantly the food was phenomenal!
Great Italian food close to the Theater District. Perfect place for a pre show dinner!
We had a nice dinner with my husband and two older kids. The food was yummy and we loved the option of the half portions of pasta. The great and hummus dip was awesome. The service was very good as well as the ambiance. My cosmopolitan could have been better(need to use Cointreau and fresh lime juice). Overall very nice evening.
Every time I come here I am impressed with the level of service. The food is delicious and there is something for everyone to enjoy. Boston has lots of good Italian food, and Teatro keeps up!
Started with two appetizers - the salt roasted beets and octopus with rice beans. The octopus was salty, but balanced nicely with the sweetness of the beets. Forr the main course we split the evening's special - veal saltimbocca with mushrooms and spinach and a small plate of the bolognase. Yum! The service started out slow, but the waiter was very helpful with selection and accomodated our split plates! Highly recommed.
Always a fabulous meal. Great vegetarian options.
Cool vibe, if a bit loud. Great spot for a date. Mushroom risotto was outstanding, as was the panna cotta desert.
The food never disapoints! This is a great place for a pre theatre meal!
Teatro is a wonderful spot to have dinner before the theater. Very pleasant and accommodating staff, efficient service and delicious food! The best is one can
order a half portion of any of the amazing pasta dishes !! A real treat and we will be back.
Food and service was great gave it 4 stars because shrimp was a little overcooked
Best Teatro meal ever. Off the charts delicious and beautiful. Incredible service. It’s good to be back….
Our usual go-to venue after theater. This time a more limited menu than in the past- but food still incredibly good. Service outstanding, although felt a 'little rushed' this time. We had early reservations 5:30- and when we left at 7:00 place was quite busy. Does also get noisey- so we recommend sitting in the booths or towards the back of the restaurant if trying to converse. Great bar and wonderful variety of drinks.
The food was amazing. We loved that they wiped down the table between courses. The tables are a little too close together for my liking, but overall the experience was good. We were very pleased.
I think they could have dimmed the lights a little more for better ambiance, but otherwise everything was really great! Great food great service, unique interior!
Recommended. Excellent service. Beautiful decor and vibe is perfect. Fancy but not stuffy. Perfect date night for special occasion.
We came here for dinner. Being from out of town, we didn’t know what to expect but went based on Yelp reviews. The service was excellent, food delicious and a lovely selection of drinks. Nice menu as well. The tables were a little too close together and the noise level was a bit high. Otherwise, great experience.
Went for my mom and aunts birthday dinner amazing time ! As always
It's hard to imagine a more delicious dinner. Loved and savored every bite and can't wait to return. Fabulous find.
We were greeted at the door with a friendly smile. The food was outstanding and our server Wilson was awesome. My husband and I shared the delicious meatballs and I had the butternut squash tortellini, so good! The room is beautiful and has a nice bar. The tables are close together but to be expected in the city and honestly didn’t matter once you’re seated. Would highly recommend!
I’m vegetarian and at first I was served pasta bolognese with beef instead of gnocchi, and my friend was served an appetizer portion of risotto. That was not a good start. Then the manager came by 3-4 times to “check on us” and was completely oblivious to the fact that our meals got mixed up… So…
Amazing and thoughtful service, but the real star was the mushroom risotto. Cooked to perfection with wonderful complimentary flavours
This was my third visit to Teatro. The ambiance is very nice. The waiter was attentive and professional. The drinks and the appetizers (prosciutto and fig chutney and the salted beets) were outstanding. It is the main courses that were disappointing. The special ricotta gnocchi with mushrooms in a parmesan cream sauce and marsala sauce was fair. The gnocchi was well prepared but the dish didn't have a lot of flavor except for the marsala sauce, which overpowered the flavors of the dish and didn't really go with the other ingredients. The chicken parmigiana with burrata was plentiful but, again, lacked flavor. Similar dishes at lower end restaurants have better flavor. After this latest experience, it is unlikely that I will return for dinner but will likely come for drinks and appetizers at the bar.
Dinner before theater show. A fabulous overall dining experience. Food was authentic & delicious. Cocktail selection also very good.
Area is a bit diverse but we will add this to a must frequent establishment!
Jason was our waiter. He was friendly efficient and wonderful
excellent restaurant and would highly recommend to anyone
This was a very pleasant experience. The food and service was great. It is a bit cramped being that the restaurant is long an narrow. However we are looking forward to another great meal there.
The food was excellent and the service was excellent. We will absolutely go again to this wonderful restaurant.
First great service we've had in a while. Staff was attentive. Food was delicious. My steak was medium well instead of medium rare but the flavor was spot on
To sum up our experience at Teatro in one word, OUTSTANDING. To start off, the vibe of the restaurant in something else entirely. It feels like your dining in the lobby of an old theater, with modern lighting and cuisine. Everything that we ordered was beyond our expectations, especially the antipasto platter. Overall, this is the perfect stop for pre or post-show dining, or for the theater lover in your life.
This beautiful restaurant really gave you a romantic Italian vibe. You got the feel of Boston for being in a pretty tight spot but there was enough room in between tables to feel comfortable that you didn't overhear other patrons' conversations. The service was outstanding. Great recommendations, my water glass was never empty and I felt like all of the staff was super attentive. I didn't feel rushed by any means but I was so shocked at how smoothly everything ran. We were in and out of there in less than 90 minutes! The appetizers were to die for, they were so good. I chose to have the bolognese that is handmade- and it was probably the best meal I have had in a long time. My husband got the shrimp scampi and he said the same. We did not get sweets afterwards because we chose to fill up on pasta! (I will say that the offer to get a half plat was quite nice. ) Knowing how much I love pasta I chose to get a full plate and I finished every bit of it! Thank you for a wondering date night!!
The meatball appetizer was terrific. All of the food was excellent and the drinks are well made.
Great dinner at Teatro. Meatballs in Madeira sauce as a starter were impeccable, and pasta entrees delicious. Omar our waiter was fantastic - knowledgeable and super friendly.
Excellent pizza, large enough for two to share. The half portions of pasta/risotto
good size as well.
Delicious as always. A favorite spot for us!
A bit noisy snd service took a while for staff to bring water and take our order…20 minutes from sit down.
