Teatro- Boston
Everything was delicious!! Would definitely eat here again.
we enjoyed it and will return. good food. friendly service
Great waiter, great food, but tough acoustics.
Teatro never disappoints! From the delightful hostess, waitstaff and food! Our go to restaurant before the ballet.
Great place highly recommend !
Hostess was friendly and amenable to changing our table per our request. Much appreciated
After going to a late afternoon movie, my husband & I & a close friend had dinner at Teatro. We love Teatro and dine there every time we see a movie or a theater production in downtown Boston. The atmosphere is sophisticated and hip, yet comfortable and inviting. You see diners of all ages eating in groups or pairs. The menu is varied enough to provide interesting small plates to be shared or larger entrées, salads, and side dishes. Since I am a “pescatarian”, I usually order the salmon or the scallops. The preparation of both are delicious, and I am always happy with my choice. My husband loves the pasta dishes and the veal. Our guest that night loved the chicken parmigiana. The wine by the glass list is well selected, and the bar can handle most requests for unusual drinks. To be honest, none of us has ever had a disappointing meal at Teatro. In fact, we look forward to dining at Teatro. The wait staff and kitchen are happy to accommodate food allergies or menu substitutions. Conversation is easy, unless you are seated near a large party celebrating a special occasion. The bar area is always hopping, and if dining alone, that is a great option.
Excellent food and service. Will be dining here again for sure.
The food was excellent. As vegetarians we were very pleased to see so many options. The impossible meat balls were amazing. The ambiance was really beautiful. Service was excellent. I would definitely go back.
The food was amazing, everything reasonably priced. Our waiter was terrific. I was a bit disappointed with the ladies washroom, however. It felt a bit worn, the toilet paper dispenser was out (I had to find another role) and there were paper towels spilling out on the floor of the very full trash barrel. Otherwise, it was a wonderful experience
For a very busy restaurant the service was outstanding. Our party met at the bar and had a couple of drinks before being escorted to our table. We were very happy with the service and the food. The mushroom soup was to die for! Every meal was delicious. We will definitely plan another special evening at Teatro!
Food is excellent. Service was lacking. Vaulted celings make the room feel interesting, but the decor choice was odd and seating was cafeteria-like.
Excellent food with outstanding service! Upscale and beautiful atmosphere.
Noise level high, but everything else was wonderful.
Teatro was a perfect place to grab dinner before a show. They were accommodating and the dinner and drinks were delicious.
We went in for a very early seating time, planning to just have some small plates and wine. Server was a little chilly when he realized we were not going to be running up a large tab. I get it, but honestly the place was still empty when we were finishing, so we weren't tying up the table or anything. And he would have had a much more generous tip to make up the difference if he had been a little more pleasant. Bad move. Otherwise, fantastic meal - food is incredible.
This was not our first time at Teatro. We returned based on previous visits. We had the Arancini for an appetizer. It was delicious and just enough for two to share. I had the Chicken Milanese for dinner and my partner had the Pasta Bolognese. Both came out piping hot and were tasty and filling. The atmosphere is casual yet sophisticated. A great choice if visiting the theater district in Boston.
Another amazing visit to one of our favorite restaurants in Boston! The servers are the best - friendly, attentive and charming. The hostesses are so gracious. The food is beyond memorable ... truly delicious! Teatro should be at the top of your list.
We had a wonderful meal here with out of town guests everything we ordered was great - pasta fish salad- and the service was excellent I would recommend to anyone who wants a nice meal in town
Amazing food and service !!! Loved it ...will definitely return !
Some of our favorites like butter lobster pasta was not on the menu:(
My husband and I always go to Teatro after seeing a movie next door or seeing a live performance in the Theater District. Not only is it convenient, but it’s an excellent restaurant. We have never been disappointed by a meal or dining experience at Teatro. The management team and wait staff go out of their way to accommodate our requests, whether it’s for a favorite table or changes to a menu item to avoid a food allergy. Our current favorites on the menu are the scallops (or salmon) for me, and the veal for my husband. We often begin with the arugula salad, but all the salads are good. If you are seated near a very large group it can get a little noisy, but the majority of the time there are tables of just 2 or 4 diners enjoying their meals. We have never been bothered by noise. Conversations are easy to hear. The ambience, food, wine, and service at Teatro make it a restaurant we enjoy going to often. The clientele goes from young couples on dates (often holding hands), to business associates, families of multi generations, and locals who live at the Ritz or other downtown residences.
Delicious. Very attentive waitstaff. Perfect dinner before the theatre!!
We attended Teatro pre theater. It took a while for a service to come to the table but after that, things got better. The drinks were excellent - I recommend the Hot Tub! And the food was fabulous and not outrageously priced for Boston fine dining. Our only complaint is that they have jammed as many tables as possible into this beautiful old space that it is way too noisy. I do recommend Teatro for its fabulous food but don't expect to carry on a nice conversation with your companions.
We were very pleased with the experience. The staff was very friendly and focused on what time we had to be finished by to get to the theatre.
Great service & lively bar/restaurant seating, but lazy food preparation brings rating down. For example, spinach in my wife’s gnocchi was clearly frozen, and my chicken breast was smothered in buttery batter.
Wonderful food!
First time there and my wife and I were very impressed. Great service, hostess gave us a choice of 2 tables even though the place would soon be packed solid. Food was excellent, drinks and wine were perfect! A bit noisy probably due to high ceilings but it all adds to the charm. Very convenient to the theater district!
outstanding per usual; our favorite spot when we are in the city for events in the theatre district. amazing food, drink and service!
Pre theater best choice. The daily specials are well prepared and only comment is that portions are too big and their bread is delicious . We all ate too much of it.....server was attentive and water glasses always full. Cappuccino could be hotter...
This is our second visit to Teatro both times before a show at the Opera House in Boston. It's a short walk to the theater. We had an early reservation when we arrived there were only a few people. Within a short time the restaurant and bar were filled. The service and food are great. There's one little drawback and that is how close the tables are to each other. It can be difficult for the person sitting against the wall to squeeze themselves between their table and the table next to them to get in and out. As more people arrive conversations gets very loud. It is a small place and has a nice ambiance to it. Would we go back, yes, would we recommend it to others, yes.
After going to the theater we stopped to have dinner and what a pleasant surprise. The surroundings modern yet the historical part of the building coming through. The food absolutely delicious and service and attention top notch. Highly recommend
Food is excellent, service is great! I would strongly recommend this restaurant.
Great place
Loved it! Food was outstanding and great vibe. The location was easy to find.
A great option for a pre theater dinner. The menu choices are varied with something for everyone's taste
Moms bday. She loved it. Great bolognese! Great radiccio salad
My fiancé and I went to the Theater and had made a reservation at Teatro for dinner. Proximity is fantastic to all theaters! The service was absolutely exceptional. Our server, Omar, made great recommendations and was extremely attentive without being at all intrusive. The food was incredible! We started with the meatball appetizer (OMG so good!) For meals I had the shrimp scampi and he had the spicy sausage dish. Both were so very good and portions were perfect.
From start to finish everything was perfect!! We will definitely return!
Very good Italian in the theater district. Some interesting twists on classic dishes. Only negative I can think of was they seemed somewhat understaffed.
This is a perfect place to eat before a show. They’d efficient - used to dealing with the theater goers.
