Delicious food, good service, pretty restaurant. Good lace to go before going to the theater. Was a bit noisy inside
Great place to eat before going to the theater. The food was delicious. Get there at 5:00 or 5:30 so you can sit and enjoy without being rushed for the 7:30 play. Our reservations were for 5:30 but we arrived early and they sat us at 5.
Excellent food & service. Great ambiance, and a thoroughly enjoyable evening.
Make a reservation even if you plan to get there when it opens at 5:00. Teatro fills up fast with people dining before going to the theater who have figured out that it's a great place. Wonderful food and atmosphere. This was my first time and I will definitely be back.
While visiting Boston, I went to Teatro to meet an old friend for dinner. She had pork and I had pasta. Both were fine, but not memorable. For a restaurant located in the theater district and in a city that loves its Italian, I was expecting more. My pasta bolognese was bland--needed flavor. Her dinner was just fine. All in all, I would not suggest this place given the multitude of other dining options.
Great wait staff, host and ambiance! Pizzas were fabulous!
Our absolute favorite in Boston!!
Staff was very accommodating when our party size increased.
We had a pre-theater dinner. Having done this in the past we gave our waiter our drink and food order as soon as he came over. That’s the secret to enjoying the excellent food during their very hectic 6p to 7:30p seating!
Nice experience but tables are very close together and restaurant a bit noisy making a business dinner more difficult
First time and we both liked it very much nice ambience, great service, food and service like it u can get smaller plates as a dinner option.
We enjoyed very much our first dining experience here. The wait staff is very professional and run a smooth operation. Very impressed and definitely will be back.
My wife and I have been dining here for about 10 years.
Never disappointed. The food is always delicious!
Service is always spot on. We will be back soon.
God food and wonderful service. Ambient noise was quite tolerable to permit decent conversation without screaming.
we went 2 times in the same week, the Ravioli are delicious !!!
A wonderful evening celebrating my Mum’s birthday. Our waiter was fantastic and the food was amazing. The restaurant honored our table request. Can’t wait to return!
This was our first time at Teatro. We were heading to a show at The Wilbur so we were looking for something within walking distance. We were also celebrating our son's Birthday. Teatro did not disappoint from the moment we walked in the door. We were a few minutes early so our table was having the finishing touches put on it. We were seated promptly at our reservation time. We started with the Antipasto di Salumi and Bruschetta. The breads were definitely homemade. There was enough for the 4 of us to nosh while enjoying our cocktails. Our guests had a late lunch so they split an order of Meatballs and Mussels which were perfect. I had the scallops and my husband had the Ribeye. Everything was cooked perfectly. Our waiter was outstanding; attentive yet we never felt rushed. Would highly recommend and we will certainly be back.
It was a bit noisy, but the service was exceptional despite it being a busy Saturday night. I couldn't hear the waiter when he said his name, otherwise I would call him out specifically ;)
This is our favorite pre-show dinner destination
Other than the noise level it among the best places we go to for food
Don’t dine with the theatre crowd. It is so loud you have to scream to talk across the table. The restaurant is not very big.
I was disappointed that the red wine was served warm. Reds should be stored at 55-62 degrees.
That said, my meal of pasta with Bolognase was the best I’ve had. Large portion of pasta with shreds of pork, veal and beef.
Caesar Salad was a waste. Had to send it back. Risotto very goof
Nice staff, great food, pleasant atmosphere. Would certainly go back.
Great food and great service - would recommend highly.
Pizza was delicious-the antipasto a bit disappointing. Espresso was weak. Great service tho and I will go again.
A nice surprise, as I walk by the restaurant often but never had a meal here until now. A little bit cramped and darker than I usually like, but had a very enjoyable meal and the food was a good value for the experience.
wonderful pretheater meal
The hostess at Teatro is marvelous! She's one of the best we've encountered.
Staff was attentive and made sure we were served in time to make it to the theater. Food and cocktails were excellent.
Wonderful for pre- or post-theater dining. Creative Italian menu with seasonal variety. Half portions of pasta are great. Excellent antipasto.
AlwYs a fabulous time and outstanding experience. Sara the his test is wonderful as was our waiter. The food never disappoints
The service was excellent, as was our sangria and food! It’s the perfect spot before seeing a show at the Emerson Colonial.
First time there. Excellent service. Had some questions about some of the menu items and our server was very helpful.
Very good service. Rollatini, calamari and ooh the bread and spread were delicious.
Food was fantastic. Split appetizers including the meatballs, octopus, mussels, arancini..all were incredible. They were all great. Our waiter was great but spread way too thin. They could definitely use additional wait staff
Our meals were excellent and the set was outstanding! Traditional Italian with a little flair. Highly recommend!
Classic theater district restaurant. Perfect before a show. They know how to do this...
Great service and a wonderful meal. The best chicken Milanese I’ve had in a while. Perfect pre-theater dinner!
Amazing great food
Friendly staff and good food came quickly
