Great place , Great staff. One of my favorites in Boston.
Food was divine! I had the salmon and a arugula salad to start. Everyone loved their dish. Service was impeccable and wine list was excellent. Will definitely be back!
The inside was beautiful but you’re sitting right on top of other guests, the food is average and in Boston you can find better places for the price you pay there. We regret going there. From what they advertise we expected much different; and the menu is tiny
We ate here before going to the theater. The food was fantastic!
The Mr had the beets and the special spaghetti carbonara (I had tastes of both and…yum!) I started with the Caesar salad (standard but the croutons were fab) and the meatballs in the parmesan polenta. The polenta was so so good and the sauce on the meatballs had a hint of sweetness. No dessert because we were both stuffed. Waiter was the perfect balance of attentive without hovering.
The only issue was the restaurant was PACKED. Very little space between the tables as if there had never been a pandemic. I put my mask on as soon as I was done eating. If being in crowded places stresses you out I would wait to eat here until things are less worrisome. But we will definitely go back.
Chicken milanese was perhaps the worst I've had. Maybe what it was fried in gave it a taste of anything besides chicken? I had a stomachache for the remainder of the night.
Bread was delicious; maybe the best I've had. Partner said his eggplant parmigiana was superb.
Server rushed us so much it was uncomfortable.
Christmas Gift along with theater tickets….restaurant was as, if not more, enjoyable than the show. Great drinks, stellar service, amazing food - definitely revisiting!
Great place. Often tough to get a reservation, but always worth the effort.
One of the Italian Restaurants in Boston!!! Service was amazing. I definitely recommend this !!!!!!
The antipasto was wonderful - creative and delicious - not your typical salad based version. Must try!
First time at Teatro and it won't be our last. A bday celebration for my husband, from placing our reservation to getting our bill, it was an amazing experience. Wait staff were courteous and friendly, no one rushed us at any point. The appetizers (caesar salad and calamari), the bread, the main course (I had a small plate risotto and my hubs had the chicken milanese), it was all exceptional. A true find and close to where we were staying for the overnight in Boston, I highly recommend checking out this gem. We saw some who just wanted to hang at the bar. Others who sat and only had drinks. Some had huge meals etc. It didn't matter, everyone was smiling when they left. 5 huge stars!
We had a great birthday celeration for my friend. Food was great and service was amazing :)
Fantastic food and atmosphere. It's a little on the pricier side, but you get what you pay for. Anna at the bar is a delight - and the cocktails are all worth a try! Great spot if you are looking for a nice pre-show meal.
Family dinner before theater night in Boston. We’ve been here several times during our season theater events and are always pleased with the food service and hospitality of the staff. Overall great menu for shared appetizers and entrees. Cocktails and wine by glass or bottle also are worth a look.
This place is amazing from service to food. We are extremly fussy about our Italian food and we love this place.
Excellent food and service. We will definitely be back!
We saw Jesus Christ Superstar. Teatro is a fave for the theatre!
We were disappointed with the dessert menu.
Food was terrific, service was great. Someone who appeared to be a manager stopped by to make sure everything was okay. My only complaint would be that the tables were WAY too close to each other. I had to squeeze (uncomfortably) between our table and the next one to go to the restroom, and I'm pretty average adult-female size. I understand that the hospitality industry has been hit hard in the last 2 years, but now is not the time to squeeze people together.
Great food. A little too loud at times since sound treatment has been neglected in this space; but the food quality often makes up for it.
Good food, excellent service. My only complaint is that they recommended we part at 660 Washington St , but that is only if you park there after 5:30 pm.
Excellent pre-theatre meal. We had the chicken milanese and the chicken parmigianno. The servings were large and very tasty. I have given a lower mark however as the wine prices are extremally high . The lowest priced Pinot Grigio was $48, double the price of our entrees. There should be lower priced availibility in the wine department. I will return in future as food and service is excellent but we will just have one glass of wine.
Our servers were really good. We had a great time and the food was excellent. I had the wild mushroom risotto. It was amazing. The flavors were spot on.
An absolutely delicious meal in a beautiful setting. Teatro is always a delight!
Great food and drinks. Took about 20 minutes from seating to place our drink order and a further 10-15 minutes to place our dinner order. From there, the food came quickly and correctly timed so we could enjoy it without feeling rushed.
Staff and servers were excellent, very attentive. The ambience was intimate and romantic. The food was absolutely delicious and well worth it. It was a perfect evening.
We ordered the antipasto for an appetizer and we couldn't have been more pleased! For our entrées the veal milagnese and pasta carbonara were absolutely fantastic, the veal being my favorite! The ambiance is unique, the chandeliers and architectural structure gives a special touch to the entire experience. Service was great, prompt, we were seated right away. A positive experience in all aspects, very pleased!
Made our family
From the service to the food, it was all wonderful!!
Authentic and truly delightful
I dine out frequently in the city and Teatro has the best service by far.
The food was great- good quality, traditional hearty Italian, thoughtfully prepared with some unique modern touches that really elevated each dish. Good serving sizes. Cool ambiance and music. Friendly service. Highly recommend.
Very pleased with our choice! Loved the bread and chickpea spread- addicting! The vegetarian antipasti is very creative, tasty and can feed 4-6. Eggplant and chicken parmigiana were both outstanding (best chicken parmigiana) and generous portioned. Service was impeccable too!
Service was awful. We were sat for 15 mins before our server introduced himself, it took another 20 for him to come back and take our drink order. We were there for almost 1.5 hours before he came to take our dinner order. Food was great and the vibes were cool, but the service ruined the experience
We were so happy to be back at Teatro after almost two years. Everything was almost as it was pre-covid. The menu is a tad smaller, but that wasn't an issue because everything there is fantastic. The food was on point and the service was excellent, as always. They haven't missed a beat. The cocktails here are also some of my favorite in the city.
All of the staff were masked and we didn't feel like we were too close to the people sitting at tables beside us.
I love this place and I am so thankful we didn't lose it during the shutdown! We will be back again soon!
Incredible grilled pizza, thin, light and crispy. Attentive service made the experience truly enjoyable and relaxing.
One of the staff even created a Christmas miracle and helped me print something off. Will definitely be back
Delicious food and very friendly and attentive service. Thank you!
I’ve been here many many times, I love it! But I guess with the pandemic they’ve changed their menu ☹️ It doesn’t have a lot of my favorites ☹️ It’s convenient to the theater if you’re seeing a show, and convenient to the T if you’re going to the Garden. Will still continue to go, but wish they’d bring back their original menu.
Our server Jake was incredible, kind, and attentive. All of the staff was polite and the food was amazing from taste to presentation. A must try on Tremont.
The meal was outstanding, highly recommend
My boyfriend and I went to teatro on the recommendation from the opera houses’ website since we were going to see the nutcracker after. We really enjoyed the food and drinks! The tables were pretty close together which was a little bit uncomfortable while you’re on a date, but overall we enjoyed our experience!
I’ve frequented Teatro for many years and it never disappoints. The food is reliably good, the wine list impressive, the service is friendly and the prices reasonable. The only criticism I have is that they should open at 5:00 instead of 5:30 to accommodate the film schedule at the neighboring AMC movie theater.
Our server was wonderful. He made sure that all of our needs were met. He was efficient and friendly.
