We actually went on Memorial Day weekend so we weren't sure what to expect. 2 other restaurants were full capacity & taking no reservations so we decided on teak. we sat outside with I think one waiter on the premise. Service was very slow which was not our waiters fault since they were short staffed - our food was JUST OK- not great ,not horrible. The overall appearance was a little lacking as well. Our waiter said they moved the staff up to the other bar they owned for a party so basically everyone who walked into Teak suffered for this. There were 2 tables that walked out and 2 others that I wondered why they didn't because they had no one to wait on them. Disappointing 😟

Service was very slow and we never received our full order. The food is very good, especially the sushi, but the property looks run down and unclean. Not as nice as we remember.

Terrible service. Waited 30 mins and never got any service. Went and asked the host if they remembered we were there. No one came still and we waited 20 mins. We left. Sad cause this used to be my favorite restaurant.

Enjoyable. Good authentic Thai. Service was slow after initially being seated. However apps and food came out in a very timely manner.

The restaurant was under staffed. Drinks and food came out very slow. Some was not hot hot but just warm. The flavor and appearance was eye catching but just not up to par that night.

Ordered a sushi roll and sake to start. Waiter came back and said sake not available. We reminded him we would still like the roll first with some wine. After 35 minutes our dinners and the roll all arrived at once. He offered to wrap it up for us. He already knew we were heading to a play.

Much like other reviews service was awful. It took over an hour to get served, utensils were missing, food was cold etc. I had to ask for a manager. Blame was placed on a computer issue, but this had nothing to do with food or service quality. Facility was dirty and nearby table was never cleared.

Service was horribly slow that evening. Took forever to take our order. Even longer to get our food. Drinks came after food. Some food items missing. Apologized and comped some of our meal because of the experience though

I've been here several times and have always been please, but this last visit was horrible. Majority of our orders were incorrect, the food was cold and the waiter even stuck her hand in food then tried to give it to one of my guest. We had a big group for my birthday dinner. I've never been so embarrassed.

The food is good. We ordered a vegetarian entree that was very delicious. The chicken chilly was too dry and bland. The ambiance is slightly depressing.

The food was fantastic as always, but the service was absolutely terrible last night. We ordered drinks and were told that they were out of what we ordered only for my boyfriend to go to the bathroom and order exactly what we wanted from the bar. So he brought them back to our table and the server said, "Oh you found what you wanted." It took her over 30 minutes for her Tom comeback and take our new drink orders and to take our food order from when we sat down. That was the first time she had come back since she left our waters. I ordered a split of champagne after not being being able to get what I wanted at first and she brought be a glass that was not even filled all the way up, without the bottle so I didn't even get the full split that I paid for.

We were so disappointed with our experience last night and this had turned into one of our favorite restaurants in town. It will probably take a little while to get the bad service taste our of our minds to want to rush right back. It was the worst service we have had in quite some time.

I read several reviews and almost cancelled, but I had to give them one more time, for old times sake. It was disappointing. Food was just ok, service was mediocre and bar prices were in line with a high end joint. Took a while for our waitress to take our initial drink order and she was difficult to understand through her gum chomping. Ewww.

Not nearly the serving size they once gave you, food seemed fresh-but blah, I asked for a 7, no spice at all, another at our table sent hers back, no taste.

Sad to mark one of my long time favorites off the list, but life marches on.

We had a group of 6 and enjoyed the atmosphere, drinks, food and the service staff. Waiter and staff were attentive, we all enjoyed the different dishes, and the noise level was perfect for us to carry on conversation easily. We will be going back.

Service was excellent — we felt very welcome. The food is very good. I hadn't been there in many years and had heard it was run-down. Sure, there's wear and tear you notice in the restrooms and places like that BUT it's "well-loved."

Food was very good, came fast and very tasty. There were six of us with varying tastes and "heat" tolerances and we were all happy with our meal selections.

Five were out-of-town guests, so I took them to Mt. Adams for the view from Immaculata Church, a stop at Blind Lemon pub (cozy pub and a sentimental favorite), then down the street to Teak Thai. My strong recommendation for a trip to Mt. Adams with out-of-towners is to take Uber, Lyft or a cab...don't add frustration by trying to find parking and driving the narrow streets. We had a couple people who had various physical limitations so for us not doing too much climbing/walking was good — but if you are into hiking, there's many opportunities and great views in Mt. Adams.

Teak's food is delicious, but it wasn't hot by the time it got to our table. And the service was really slow. We had two kiddos with us, so that was an issue... We've had great experiences before, so I'm hoping this was a one time problem.

Teak's Thai now has a long history in Cincinnati's Mt. Adam's neighborhood. It's a decent restaurant and a good option for visitors wanting a unique view of the city. Nonetheless, the building is in need of some updates and attention to things like painting the walls. And I was very disappointed their beer taps weren't working and they were out of my first choice of beer and of wine.

We have been to Teak several times before, and the food has always been excellent. This time was no exception, and we had a revelation: Panaeng Curry. Neither of us had ever tried this dish before, and Teak's version of it was nothing less than outstanding. We ordered it at a spice level of 5 (on a scale of 3 to 10) and it was plenty spicy without being overwhelming. The taste was absolutely delicious. We also ordered spring rolls and Spicy Fried Noodles, both of which were very tasty.

The only letdown to our most recent visit was the service, which was much slower than normal. Not sure why - it was a Sunday night, and not busy at the restaurant, but everything seemed to take longer than normal. However, this won't prevent us from returning. The food at Teak is our favorite Thai food in the Cincinnati area.

By far my favorite place to eat! I drive from Dayton, Ohio frequently to eat here . Amazing food but the waiting area is a little dangerous and the host was not easy to access . We made a reservation so we got to a table reasonably . Regardless of the wait the food was so amazing that it was worth it !!

It had been years since I'd been and it's really gone downhill. I wish I had looked at reviews before we went, but since I'd been before, I didn't think that was necessary. We arrived on time for our reservation and were told there'd be a 15 minute wait (annoying, but not a huge deal). So we sat at the bar. After being seated after the 15 minutes, we waited at our table for 20 minutes and no one ever came over. Mid-way through we went to the host stand to mention this and they assured us someone would be right over. Nope. So we headed back to the bar as the bartender (Omar) had been quite friendly. Ordered right away since we'd had plenty of time to look at the menu, but were never asked for a second drink order - so they missed out on selling us drinks. Food took another 35 minutes. Omar was working very hard, but the others we saw didn't look as though they were in any hurry. He told us that it was because of a play at Playhouse in the Park, but on other Saturdays they are "dead" so they can't hire additional staff. If you're dead on a Saturday night, that's not a good sign! Also, in addition to the service there was peeling paint on the walls, torn upholstery, restroom in disarray, etc. Just too bad it's gone downhill. Food-wise it wasn't terrible, but there is definitely better Thai in Cincinnati with certainly better service and atmosphere.

Friendly service which proactively asked if we were trying to make a show later in the evening and worked very hard to ensure we had all we needed very quickly and in plenty of time to make the show. Very generous serving sizes and very tasty. All around a great visit for us and our 3 teens.

We went to Teak for an after-theater dinner. When we arrived, the staff seemed harried and had trouble seating us, although we had a reservation. The establishment feels worn out and tired—there are many visible signs of disrepair. The menus were sticky—and that seemed on par with the state of things. Our server was quite competent and friendly, but the food was mediocre.

I have had good experiences at Teak in the past. Unfortunately the service was awful- the waitress didn't seem to care and threw the food at us. The appetizer and entree we luke warm. Also, the bar area and bathrooms smelled horrible.

When Teak was the only Thai restaurant in town, it was worth it. Now there are too many good options to accept this experience.

Beyond horrible experience! It was our anniversary, which I noted on the reservation, and it was not even acknowledged! The service was horrible - it took an hour to get my sushi roll, which was an appetizer. When I got it (tempura style) it was cold and tasted awful. They stuck us downstairs (despite our special occasion), where it was cold and drafty. Our view was the sushi bar and the waitress station. I had to go find the waitress to even get the check. The food quality was sub-par and the environment was ratty and out-dated. I will never return and cannot recommend to anyone to waste their time or money here.
