Came for a friend’s birthday dinner, had a lovely experience. Our server was wonderful, helpful, and very fun! Margarita pitchers were delicious, sushi presentation was grand, good portion sizes for apps, hot food ordered by friends looked delicious. Highly recommended!
It was really hot, need to adjust temp when it is full
Enjoyed our dinner. It did take a long time to come out, our waiter said it one of our entrees was wrong so they had to remake it. My food was very spicy. I ordered a 3/10 and it was very spicy, so not sure if it was the dish or me! The spring roll started was my favorite part of the meal.
Fair, in all respects
Loved the food and our server was wonderful in not pushing us out even though they had closed but we were finishing our wine.
Setting- open and airy space, lovely flower arrangement as you enter.
Staff - attentive, knowledgeable about ingredients. We had to ask for certain things like chopsticks.
Menu- large menu, well laid open, easy to read with notations of gluten free, vegetarian
Food - delicious
Reservations- definitely should book
We love this place and will return ASAp
Service was excellent. Food was okay, not as good as old place and dry. Price was okay, considering food was just okay.
Wonderful dinner, all in our party loved this place. We will definitely return.
Very slow but friendly service; I understand that they may be understaffed due to the pandemic, but it took over 45 minutes for the appetizer - the papaya salad to arrive.
The papaya salad arrived bland - no dressing, no seasoning. The rest of the food was the same. We ordered a red curry, the thai spicy chicken, basil fried rice and another dish that was equally unmemorable. I asked for a spice level of 8 on my food, and even the person in our four person group who cannot tolerate spice said that it was bland, and lacking spice. It seemed like they'd forgotten to season every dish with salt and/or soy sauce. Very disappointing. 0/10 would recommend.
This was our first time eating at Teak. We dined around 2pm on a Saturday and while it was not very busy when we arrived, by the time we left it had picked up quite a bit. They also did steady takeout business at the bar.
Our server was friendly and helpful. I had the Teak Trio meal for $16 and it was delicious and a very large portion, enough for a second full meal at home. I also had the ginger salad and for $5 it was a good side and very tasty. My husband had the asparagus entree but substituted shrimp for chicken and he said it was delicious. He also had enough to take home for a second meal.
The noise level was low, the people watching through the windows was great, the proximity to the streetcar and parking at Washington Park can’t be beat, and the value for the money was great.
We will be back!
New location and ambience is so much better than the previous location. Food and service was great!
Olivia is awesome!
Great menu, wonderful value. Our waitress was very attentive. Fun to be in OTR and see the dogs being walked.
The absolute worse service I have ever experienced. Horrible. A completely unpleasant experience.
Our waitress was efficient and kind. A joy to have her!
Best Asian in Cincinnati right now.
We had a very good meal. The service was a bit slow, but it did not really detract from the experience. The space has a lot of hard surfaces, and would benefit from some sound dampers in the ceiling. Sound was not so much loud as "echoing" that made conversation a bit difficult at times.
Overall experience was good.
Nothing exceptional about food or experience.
I ordered Pad Thai/Veggie. It was dry ... wacky dry. Sierra (server) was terrific, truly BUT solution to dry was sweet sour sauce, which was stupid spicy. Why not peanut sauce for Pad Thai? Apps were good, tho.
It was also stupid loud. Which with the plastic shields up is puzzling.
I loved your food when you were in Mt Adams, but this is the second time I've been to OTR in 2 months, and I don't know that I'll be back.
Took over an hour to get 2 sushi rolls on a Tuesday.
Before the concert, just fabulous! I intend to return again soon.
Table was read on time, nice ambiance BUT my food arrived later than the others. I suspect they did not make as I specified. I ordered no onions and when I got it, there were some scattered in at the bottom of the bowl. I think they made it with and then picked them out. It was cold when I got it and I had ordered a 5 level and it seemed like zero.
Food was excellent, and the server was very friendly including giving recommendations and seeming to genuinely like her job. Our out-of-town guests were very pleased!
So glad the Teak restaurant from Mt. Adams is back.
The food is fantastic. I love the new location in OTR.
We went there for Mother’s Day and it was perfect.
Food was way too salty
Loved the ambience. The food was very good. We especially loved the dim sum, monkey brain and chicken curry. Portions were generous. I would return!
Always loved Teak when it was in Mount Adams. New location is perfect by Washington Park. The appetizers came out quickly-delicious spring rolls, dim sum and Wonton Soup. Then the wait and wait and wait for our main course. Server disappeared for awhile. Tables all around us that came in early got their main course paid and left. Once the food arrived it was delicious. My son had Pad Thai with chicken asked for level 7 heat said it was not spicy at all. My Thai Green Curry was delicious I ordered an 8 and the spice level was good. My husband got the Wok Seared Tilapia he liked the fish a loot but the broccoli was no where to be found. His was served with curry rice which was not shown as part of his dish but he found it delicious. We waited an hour for our food on Mother's Day! It was busy but not overwhelming.
We have been going to Teak for the last 17 years. I wanted to go for Mother’s Day, and it was a horrible experience. They were slow with their service, and they forgot my husbands and sons order. It was a very bad experience on such a special day. We will not be returning.
Delicious. We will be back
Loved the three course menu for Asian food week. Great value!
The food is always great but the service is very slow.
For a date night is fine but if you go with kids it’s not good at all.
Overall the kids loved the food so far so good!
The food was fabulous! But it was very hot in there while we had lunch. Made it uncomfortable.
I was really looking forward to the meal as part of Asian food week, but was a little disappointed. It was good but not stellar. We has the ginger salad. It was basically just lettuce with the dressing. A few other veggies would have helped, carrots, cucumbers, tomatoes, anything . The dressing overpowered just lettuce. We had the beef soup and it was bland and a little watery. The pad Thai was very good, though. Unfortunately they were out of the mango cream brûlée, which we were really looking forward to trying. I would have thought they would really have tried to step up for Asian food week. I’ll give them another chance down road.
Came here with an early dinner on a Sunday evening, around 530. Surprisingly they were pretty busy, between a Reds game and an FC Cincinnati game. The brick walls, plastic dividers for COVID, and small spaces meant it was LOUD, it was hard to have a conversation even without facemasks on. It took some time for a waitress to acknowledge our table, but by the time they did we were ready to order. Our two entrees and an appetizer.
25 minutes later our appetizer (spring rolls) arrived. Fortunately we weren't terribly hungry at 530, but by the time we got the food we were ready to dig in. The spring rolls were tasty, well filled, good crunch, super sweet sauce but no real surprise there. When the waitress brought the rolls I asked to add a ginger salad to my order.
Then it was a good 15 minutes to our entrees, my roast duck, salad, and what was SUPPOSED to be the Thai Holy Basil chicken. Instead they sent some form of lemon ginger chicken, and we didn't notice it immediately. However, when we brought it to the waitress' attention she said they'd have it remade. Short wait later and a plate that looked exactly the same with a few pieces of basil over top and a much darker sauce was there. It seems like what came back was the previous dish, add basil and soy sauce.
I won't lie, I was pretty annoyed. My partner wasn't, and just rocked with it. The initial dish was much better than what was returned, and my roast duck was FANTASTIC. Despite this mishap, and the delay, the waitress was extremely polite and attentive otherwise, keeping drinks full and checking in with us regularly.
I'm glad to have Teak back, because we loved them in Mt Adams, and look forward to continuing to dine here.
Great service and the food was very good!
Food and service was great. We loved what we ordered.
Teak was busy and bustling - we were seated within a few minutes. The staff was very courteous and friendly and knowledgeable. The menu is expansive, food carefully prepared and plated, and tastes exquisite! I just wish we had a better place to sit and potentially more dessert choices. But otherwise, will definitely return to try everything else on the menu!
Food was good when the server got the correct food down! Ordered heart attack got the Monkey brain.. still wanted to try stuff so ordered monkey brain and that’s when she said she put wrong order in! Ordered jungle fish and received a totally different salmon dish! Also order 1200 race and jalapeños on top were raw! Must’ve been having an off night... will try again though
The sushi is amazing and we loved the monkey brains too!
The best sushi downtown ! The fi fi and j lo roll are 2 of my favorites.
