Tea Lounge - Waldorf Astoria, Las Vegas
Daily 11:45 am–4:15 pm
AMAZING. I plan to go back for every special occasion.
The best tea experience, worth trying
This was the worst experience I had at an afternoon tea setting. I have had it in London and Dubai, I didn’t expect the experience to be as those places but, this is Las Vegas where it should be top notch. First complaint is the room is tiny get there early if u want to sit in front of the window. Second they don’t have any late evening times from what I recall which would be nice to see at least the lights come on. Since you are staring directly at the strip. The room is also right next to the check in lobby and So you can see people checking in and the staff working.
The food was not great at all either. A lot different from traditional teas I’ve had.
Honestly skip this I have been to nicer afternoon teas.
Absolutely perfect. Wonderful view, quiet comfortable atmosphere. I can't wait to take my daughters next time.
Great experience. Staff was amazing.
We had an absolutely amazing High Tea at the The Tea Lounge. From the service to the food everything was perfect. Highly recommend. Fabulous view of Las Vegas strip too.
Well worth the ambiance! The service was impeccable as expected and the monkey picked tea and finger sandwiches were amazing. I was concerned I’d leave there hungry but I was pleasantly stuffed.
Everything about this tea was awesome. Except for the fact that a drunken group of ladies attending as part of a bachelorette party pretty much killed the atmosphere as they were super loud and super intoxicated. Can’t fault the fine crew of the Mandarin however! Tea was fabulous!
Special thing to do that's not too expensive and unrelated to drinking and gambling. Hope the Waldorf keeps it going!
High Tea was a lovely treat for our ladies' weekend.
Overall was amazing. Wish you could choose seats though. I felt that the employees would only serve people that looked "Wealthy" I mean I dressed up nice, as well as my girlfriend. But there was no service, unless we asked. Food was great, a new experience. The view was gorgeous. Just needs work on the service.
Service was fantastic. Food was amazing. Perfect for Afternoon Tea.
Is just so beautiful!! my husband and I enjoy the only the tea but the conversation we get to have in this quiet elegant place.
The afternoon tea was overall a good experience; however, the Mandarin Oriental staff was busy and frustrated. My wife and I was able to feel the tension from the servers. The placement of the tea was disorganized and rough. The service was lacking professionalism.
I gave 4 out 5 stars because of the people allowed to dine in the restaurant. I was told smart casual - I wore a nice dress as some other ladies also wore. Some men came in shorts and sandals including baseball caps - messy looking and not smart casual. I'll be back but hope not see this in future.
We went there for afternoon tea and it was spectacular from the food to the service. I can't wait to go there again!
Was a very nice experience. Everyone should try it as least once!
Everyone we encountered was nice and helpful. The hotel is beautiful; the Tea Lounge was comfortable and pretty. The sammies and scones were delicious. The desserts looked great, but I was too full to try any. The bathroom smelled like a sewer. Yikes!
My sisters and I enjoyed tea at the mandarin oriental. Tea is served on the sky lounge level affording lovely views to the tables right in front of the windows. We chose the traditional tea service which came with tea, sandwiches, scones, and desserts. There were many varieties of tea to choose from, we selected the matcha green (earthy and bold), peace through water (herbal and fragrant), and mandarin green (not sure if this was jasmine pearl? It didn’t have much flavor). The scones were the best part, served with delicious clotted cream and tart lemon curd. There is also an option to add on a glass of champagne but we were stuffed from all of the food! A fun & relaxing experience for sure!
My only complaint was the tea needs smaller pots to remain hot and then get refilled again with hot water. I wasn’t able to enjoy hot tea with the yummy food.
The food was delicious the music was relaxing and the view was just what you want for an afternoon in Las Vegas.
It was our first time going to the tea lounge. I had stayed at the mandarin oriental before but never got a chance to do the tea service. I was glad I made a reservation this time!:-)
Just like the hotel, everything in the lounge is so detail oriented. You are first greeted by the friendliest hostesses. They seat you and they told us they try to seat everybody by the window, but not everybody will fit. We had the couch. But oh wells.
Our server was super friendly and explained the popular teas and the ones she like. Which helped us choose.
We ordered the afternoon tea set. We ordered for 2, but I'm assuming if you did one set, you'd only get one of everything.
The scones are pretty good and our server recommended we eat those first since they were fresh! and they were! I liked the white sauce with it the best.
The curry cones were pretty good, as were the egg salad croissants. After all of the scones and the tea sandwich plate, we barely made it to the dessert plate and we were full. All that tea didn't help either.
Everything was so peaceful and relaxing! I can't wait to come back and experience this again. On a side note, the afternoon tea set is $45/person but you don't have to order it, you can just do a pot of tea which is like $12.
We always enjoy the tea service at Mandarin, and with the soon to come transition we thought we’d visit once more before the changes. We enjoyed a Smokey tea and jasmine pearl. The scones were out of this world this time. The dessert portion was also one of the best I have had at the Mandarin tea service. Sandwiches the same, the vine is our favorite. Sad it’s changing, but if Waldorf continues a tea service I expect they’ll put a few finer touches and hopefully improve the seating. I know it’s simply a portion of the lobby they set up for tea on weekends, but the chairs are so uncomfortable. I am also sure the super affordable price will go up, fingers crossed it’s worth it.
Great views. A little cramped. Food and beverages were very good. Service was polite, frequent but lacked warmth.
Wonderful food, service, and location. Will return. The food was amazing and beautiful.
The tradional tea lunch food was wonderful if you eat meat but my vegetarian grandaughter was unable to eat the meat dishes that came with the meal therefore the value wasn’t worth the price. We both loved the wonderful scones and desserts. The view of the LV strip and mountains was good and the ambiance was nice and quiet for conversing. Our server wasn’t the friendliest. She seemed to be either snobbish or uninterested in her job.
Amazing experience and sweetest service for sure a must try ❤️
The Tea Lounge at the Mandarin Oriental was amazing. We fell in love with the view. You can see the entire strip from the 23rd floor! The waitress was very accommodating. We got there early and asked for a window seat, which they were happy to do. The food we ordered was gorgeous and delicious. When we didn't know what something was, the waitress explained it all to us. The tea is the very reason I would go back to the Tea Lounge. Many selections were delightful, and there was always milk and super cute sugar sticks.
Wonderful tea service and great food.
The presentation, the food and service were all excellent.
Lovely and enjoyable. Something different for my out of town friend.
Loved the tea house, our husbands were initially hesitant to go but when they got there they loved the food and everything else that they offered. We all had a wonderful experience.
Great Service, elegant setting and presentation. It would be perfect if they gave more choice for different kind of jam spread and butter. Overall, very beautiful and quite lounge.
By far the best high tea experience I’ve had and we’ve done plenty. Tea and pastries were delicious and of course beautifully presented. The view is wonderful and you can take your time and linger. Staff was kind and service was excellent. We went for a birthday and no surprise we overheard three other birthdays being celebrated with 2to4 at a table. Intimate and special. Thinking about making it a tradition plus it’s a great value. Hope they keep the tea lounge after it gets converted into a Waldorf Astoria, would definitely miss it!
Wonderful Afternoon Tea. They have made recent changes that have added more elegance to the experience. I would definately recommend this!
I've been to the tea lounge at the Mandarin a few times now and they never disappoint!
This place never fails always so nice to be in. And you’re never rushed or treated differently than others
It was a good special occassion experience. We went during the day; the view is probably better during the evenings. The macarons were good. There weren't really a variety of fun flavored teas. It was more traditional green teas, oolong, etc. But, they were good quality teas... although they seemed a bit skimpy with the steeping. The flavors weren't really strong. The desserts were typical desserts you'd find in high end buffets. I preferred the tea sandwiches, something I commonly do not find everywhere. The scones were very tasty. At first, the hostess who attended to us seemed snobbish, however the rest of the people serving us were really friendly and polite. I was a little disappointed that teas weren't kept warm. It's not like the leaves were steeping in the pots so it won't destroy the taste. The table was a bit cluttered but it wasn't distracting.
Wonderful tea room. Good variety of afternoon tea options, including cocktails & champagne. Top notch service. Amazing views! Highly recommend.
