   Absolutely delicious venison and cod dishes. The group were still waxing lyrical about how great the food was the next day!

   Covid blamed for all shortcomings as has become the new norm but poor service standards, cleanliness and prep are a given minimum expectation when you pay for a 'supposed' high class meal. Booked well in advance and made it clear that one of us was gluten intolerant. Found our booking but had to request a GF menu! Didn't have one so doctored a normal one. Starters were OK for veggies and fish eaters but nothing otherwise. Venison was chewy. Portion of fries missed. Cutlery was cheap, tables sticky, drab atmosphere. Ate here some years ago and really enjoyed it. This experience was therefore very disappointing. Makes me wonder what the rooms are like?

   Very relaxed atmosphere, lovely food. Not very big choice on menu but food was very nice

   Disappointed. Chose this restaurant for lunch because of the dining room outlook to the river and wildlife. On arrival was told that lunch would be served as a barmeal.

   We're sorry that the restaurant was not open for lunch that day, as lunch is mainly served in the bar. However, we do hope that you enjoyed your meal with us and all your comments have been taken on board. Due to a current shortage of staff our restaurant is not always open for Lunch. We do hope that you will return to us and when you make your booking specify that you would like to be seated in the restaurant this can of course be accommodated. We look forward to hopefully seeing you again!

   Comfortable setting and very good service nice background music so you could have a conversation with people. Food was excellent and cooked to your request perfectly

    Cuisine de bonne qualité sans surprise dans un environnement peu soigné (table de cantine dressée sans goût, couteau inadapté à la viande, absence de nappage) jouissant d'une belle vue sur le pont. Service sympathique et attentionné
