This was the first time my family visited the restaurant. The food was good, but not outstanding. I thought the service could have been better. We never got bread and my wife's or my drink never got refilled. Service was on the slow side.
- My son ordered a pizza and it was good. He said it was almost as good as Bertucci's. He ordered dessert, Ultimate Chocolate, and he said that was extremely good and rich.
- My wife ordered the salmon, risotto, and broccolini. She said it was very good. She ordered a small creme brulee and it was very good. It had a layer of blackberry compote she found very good. It was a small size and said it was the perfect finish to the meal.
- I ordered a beet salad which was good. I ordered a filet mignon it was good, not great. The sides were also good (risotto and root vegetable hash).
Overall a good restaurant. We would go back. I would probably order something more Italian. For steak, I would go next door to Ted's Montana Grill.
As usual it was a great dining experience. We all enjoyed the artechoke hearts as an appetizer and I had the salmon which didn’t disappoint. I’ve never had a bad meal and I love their safe gluten free options.
This was my second time eating at Tavolino. Both times, I had excellent service with an attentive server, who also didn't mind us enjoying a long meal. The food is excellent with plenty of options to fit picky eaters and they were great at adapting meals to be vegan. There is an excellent drink and wine menu. I'd definitely go back.
One of my favorite restaurants that just keeps getting better. The Mon-Thursday $26 specials are a great value as you get appetizer, salad, main course and desert. I was in the mood for pasta and had the Carbonara. Nice to know someone actually knows how to make it.
Nice candle lit table and great service! The food was excellent, great Italian food !!
It was a fantastic day for my Wife and I to celebrate her birthday along with my Aunts 80 Birthday.
Was visiting from out of town. The hotel I was staying at recommended Tavolino. It was a great choice !
We ended up having an impromptu Easter Brunch..everything was perfect..
We had not been in awhile, will definitely go back.
I am pleased with changes that have taken place over the years at Tavolino's. Maybe it is personnel or a new chef, not sure, but we have dined there three times in the last few months and have been pleased. Drinks made by Paul the bartender are mixed well. Food is fresh and dishes are creative ,but not over the top. The beet salad is our favorite and the mixed meatball were excellent as an appetizer. The truffle french fries are habit forming.
We will return to Tavolino's and recommend to friend's as a nice alternative to traveling to Worcester.
Dinner was great as always. We frequent Tavolino's at least once a month. Had the Rib-Eye this time and it was tender and delicious. My wife, as usual, had the Chicken Piccata and it was as good as ever.
Always just right in a good way
We were given a gift certificate to Tavolino's and decided to use it Friday night. Our first impression was that the staff was friendly and efficient. The menu had some traditional options but also some unique and interesting items. The warm bread assortment for the dipping oil was outstanding. We loved the way the martinis were served, half of the drink in the class with the other half in a carafe nestled in ice to keep it cold. We enjoyed our first visit and plan to return.
The food was very good and the menu extensive. Looking forward to coming back.
We had pizza and a pasta dish with artichoke appetizer. The pizza was delicious with a brick oven type crust. A little thin in the middle with a thicker edge. Slightly on the underdone side, but yummy. The ingredients were very fresh and generous. Artichoke appetizer was tangy with a light breadcrumb coating. Pasta with veal and prosciutto was a little disappointing. Very small portion of veal and the pasta was underdressed. Service was good and portions were fine.
Beet salad and wild boar app were very good, but thought wild boar/gnocchi a little heavy for an app - better as an entree.
Pasta carbonara tasty but a little over cooked.
Love the quartino - size wine pour.
Husband enjoyed his Left Hand Milk Stout draught beer.
My husband, daughter and I had a wonderful visit to Tavolino’s . The food was amazing and plentiful but the PEI mussels were absolutely incredible. Service was excellent and efficient and we didn’t feel rushed. A great time and we look forward to returning again soon!
Appetizer was cold (meatballs) which was removed from the bill (Thank you). My wife's $33 filet requested cooked well done was 1/3 cooked medium rare and was left....when your paying $33 I expect it to be cooked perfectly.
Our waitress was tremendous.
they forgot our guests beer, my entrée (bollagnes) had noodles that were too thick and the sauce had too much pepper. Salad, other entrees were good, bread was very good.
We've been coming to Tavolino's for several years now; and we've never been disappointed. The food is always fabulous and delicious (we generally get the
same things each time we come). The wait staff is always pleasant and aims
to please. We've never had an unkind server.
Keep up the good work, Tavolino's!
We'll be back soon!
Great Service , We made reservations for the first time on Valentines day and the Food and Cocktails we Excellent. We will be back for sure.
Great night as usual. My wife loves the Chicken Piccata and I had the Veal Saltimbocca. Both were excellent. Kirsten, our waitress was great.
Food was very good, service excellent and was a great overall experience. We will go back!
Overall impressed, the waitstaff and manager were very friendly, the service was a bit slow, but it was busy and that might be a bit picky. Food overall was very good, although the Caesar salad was a disappointment, very little flavor at all. Place looks great and was very clean, including the bathrooms (which was a win) Would recommend, but didn’t blow me away.
Made a friends birthday extra special with a red rose
Update: We were contact by management who apologized about the service and made the situation right. Apparently we were not the only party who complained that evening about this particular server. Management explained that the particular server was experiencing some personal issues but emphasized that that should not be an excuse for bad service. In all we were satisfied with the resolution which included a certificate to dine at the restaurant on another date.
We have been to Tavolino on numerous occasions and generally had a very good experience. However, the service this past weekend was as bad as any I have had in the past five years (and we eat out a lot). 30 minutes to get a drink, 45 minutes to get bread. 2 1/2 hours overall and our server left the premises half way through our meal. I guess she was having a tough day?
We were seated at the big booth in the bar. Ambiance was so nice. Truffle fries for app were delish. White Pizza to die for. Chicken parm, wild boar ravioli, and pistachio salmon all were so good. Nice wine list and enjoyed espresso for dessert. Definitely will be back!
We were disappointed right from beginning. We were a party of 11 and were given a waitress that was inexperienced. When asked questions she couldn’t answer and had to get answers on everything asked. Knocked over water on people, missing drinks ordered, and honestly not keeping up with clearing table so table was always crowded. Cappuccinos were not served hot and actually tasted burnt.
They did in the end deduct any desserts ordered which was acceptable but overall I won’t be going back.
Great gluten free options
Our server couldn’t have nicer and very friendlier. As always, we will keep coming.
A little too loud, but worth it!
Good fairly priced spot to take the family for a casual meal. Our pizza and the Mediterranean salad along with a bottle of red wine... made for a nice simple Sunday dinner.
The wine I ordered was delicious. I was a bit put-off on being charged for gluten free bread when my partners regular bread was complimentary. However, both meals were delicious and we would come back, I just will not order bread. Seems a cheap thing for a restaurant to charge me for bread when your meals are certainly not inexpensive. It was my partner's birthday and I did not want to make a comment then and make him uncomfortable. You might want to rethink this as it seems petty to me.
One of the best places for gluten free pizza! Always delicious.
Went with friends, had a great time and did the tapas thing. Worked out well and everyone was happy. Good food and service; the bar area booth was a fun place to enjoy our reunion
Overall very nice. Went for new year's eve dinner, oysters were great as were the ravioli and halibut specials. Service was ok; and waitress was self aware of this and did comp our drinks without being asked. Been here a few times and will return again.
New Year's Eve dinner with friends. The food was wonderful!
We went for dinner ordered their Tuscan hearth roasted wings, one of our favorites. My husband ordered prosciutto and arugula pizza. They mistaken it for their prosciutto and fig pizza but they were quick to get him a new one and took the pizza off our bill. I ordered the boscaiola pasta and asked for chicken. It came out delicious but the chicken I asked for did not get added. Not sure what happened in the kitchen this night. Not usually like this.
Always guaranteed a great meal. Warm atmosphere, pleasant staff, and never rushed. Worth every cent, every time
Excellent lunch today. Liked the fact that it was serving throughout the day... so we could get a table at 3pm, which is sort of an in between time. Soup, salad with goat cheese, pastas... all great. Excellent, attentive service.
Yet again impeccable service and outstanding food!
