Taverne Square Dominion Ratings and Reviews
Beautiful decor, very comfortable space, and has a nice ambiance. The quality of the food isn't what it used to be, but I definitely consider it a go-to spot downtown. I often go before a habs game and I recommend it as a date spot or for a casual business meeting. Service is very good and the drinks are excellent.
It was a welcomed change from the latest trending downtown boutique restos. The ambiance, decor, dishes and staff attire/uniforms brought me back to a scene from a 1920’s ragtime Montreal bar saloon. The food was fresh, beautifully presented and satisfying as was the attentive care received from the staff. My family and I enjoyed our pre-show dinner experience, it was worth the tiny detour.
We decided to check out Dominion Square Tavern because it was recommended in "Where Chef's Eat," and we were not disappointed. We loved the atmosphere and the very impressive bar. We had the bone marrow appetizer and the portion was so big that two of us couldn't finish it! Yummm!! The muscles were also excellent. All in all, we had a lovely late dinner and would definitely recommend this place.
Amazing food. Bone marrow entree was delicious, roasted cod melted in my mouth like butter and cooked to perfection amd chocolate fondant with raspberry frozen coulis was outstanding. Homemade tonic and hendricks was incredible..loved everything about my evevning.
My wife and I really loved this place. The ambiance is cool. They make an excellent sazerac. The food was spectacular. We ordered a Cornish hen for two and I picked it clean like a caveman, because it was so delicious. I highly recommend it and, we will absolutely eat here the next time we visit Montrèal.
We had the Cornish hen at Dominion Tavern and it was phenomenal. The meat was so tender and it was surrounded by an assortment of delicious roasted veggies. We’ve already recommended this restaurant to several colleagues and friends and will return when we are back in Montreal.
I find there is not much to eat in your restaurant. I wish you had way more choices of salads. I dont really like the betteraves and goat cheese salad. It's been on the menue for a long time and maybe you could change it. The betteraves are good but the goat cheese is really not pleasant, it is salty and bitter. It you could change it for even a cheddar it would be much better. And if you could also not put croutons in it so it would give an extra choice for people who can't eat bread or gluten. Just a thought. :)
proximité de taverne
bruyant comme les tavernes d'antan aux heures de pointe, mais un grand plus pour le soin des repas
le poisson excellent, quantité et qualité correctes
