   Such a buzzing and beautiful restaurant. Feels like you are in the heart of the city. Disappointed because this was the second time being seated at the patio when I requested indoor dinning. Me and my guest were cold and so was the food (within minutes). Paying full price for a cold dinner doesn’t seem fair. Also, if you go on the weekend and don’t want to valet make sure you get there at least 10 mins early. Not the restaurant’s fault but the parking situation is a nightmare.

   The terrace feels like a European Bistro! I loved the grilled octopus with lemony herby sauce. The eggplant and zucchini dish: perfectly cooked with a crispy coating and salted perfection!! Great brunch or lunch location.

   Service and food excellent! Music was loud so people needed to speak loudly which made the overall noise level high. I was with one other person and my throat was hoarse from speaking so loudly.

   We have been to Violi several times before and each time we have notice things starting to decline. This last time we went was probably our last. Very disappointed with pricing for what you get now(smaller portions) and Timing of drinks and sides when brought to table when we were done eating. Hope they can get thinks back on track!!

    Food was very mediocre, but they try to justify it by simply mixing it in front of you to create a show. Interior was nice and interesting. But our waiter spilled water on us and didn't even offer a free dessert or a free sparkling water which is what we were having and most of the glass spilled. There are much better places nearby I would rather visit.

    With the restaurant being half empty, we were put at a table at the very back of the restaurant next to the wait staff entrance to the kitchen. We asked to be moved but hostess took a while and by that time, we just decided to order and our server Justin was great so we decided to stay put. They should just have offered us a nicer table to start and not wait for a complaint to do so. Otherwise food was good and service was great.

    Went for a lunch with family. We loved the appetizer platter, the octopus, shrimp and swordfish. The octopus was delicious but such a small serving for $30. If you don't mind a noisy area the patio is great and perfect for photos.

    The food was excellent. So enjoyed the beef tenderloin and swordfish on sticks. It melted in your mouth. The noise level was very high on the outside terrace. Overall, it was a great dining experience.

    It is gorgeous. Waiter was fantastic. Vibe was perfect. Food was ok. Edible but nothing to write home about. For a $95 per person meal would have appreciated so really good food to make the experience perfect.

    Our server was incredibly kind and knowledgeable! Actually everyone from reception to all the wait staff blew me away. Good food. Lovely atmosphere and if you get chance to sit outside so it! It was our 30th wedding anniversary dinner and they brought us free champagne, two glasses, and sparklers. Made our day! Yeah hit this place and tip well incredible people!

    This is not your traditional Greek restaurant, but rather new interpretations of old favorites. Everything is well prepared, well presented, and well served. Atmosphere has a great upscale feel, that has a night club vibe which becomes more pronounced at later hours on weekends. Well turned out crowd, fun, energetic, but professional staff, and great food make for a memorable meal!

    First time guests, loved the transformation of the space. We were long time Mon Ami patrons, and while we miss it, this is a great upgrade. Prices are a bit high for our liking, but the food, service and presentation of entrees was superb. Our server, Constantine was top knotch.

    What an incredible first experience dining here. Our waiter (Darwin) was so attentive and helpful. He was informed of my dietary needs based on my open table profile and made to sure educate me on any choices that might conflict. My mother was so happy to try a new restaurant with such delicious offerings.

    I was late for 10 mins because of traffic, and my friend was also late for 30 mins. I was waiting for her without order, but a server makes me to hurry to order, so I ordered a sparkling water, but later on, she still makes me hurry to order but I waited to my friend. After my friend arrives, we started an alchole and appetiser, but the server still makes us hurry to order. For me, it was uncomfortable experience a little. Food was fantastic!

    Beautiful space but the food was just average while priced well above average. They were only serving brunch and the portions were tiny which might have been ok if the server had explained that to us; we would have ordered more. Didn't realize that an order of pancakes was only 3 silver dollar sized (for $16!!), and served with no sides does not make for a meal. Avocado toast was served with a comical amount of dill piled on top.

    I took my wife here for the first time for her birthday dinner and both she and I left very happy. The food was absolutely delicious and while things were a little noisy, the overall ambience was welcoming but classy. The food is all expertly prepared and delicious, though I would not consider most of the fare to be extremely traditional...at least not traditional for Chicago Greek restaurants. They do have (delicious) moussaka as well as gyros, but you won't find Greek style peas on the menu. Instead, you'll find things like delectable carrots served with tahini yogurt, dill, scallions and chili oil. We had these, and they rocked. Likewise, lamb is on the menu, but is served with eggplant salad, and sumac rather than a red sauce. As for what my wife and I had...well, we had grilled halloumi cheese with a scrumptious chili-honey glaze, perfectly grilled octopus with a kalamata olive and chili relish, the best moussaka I've ever had, extraordinarily tender and tasty beef tenderloin souvlakia served with sheep butter yogurt (yum) and cucumber salad, the aforementioned carrots, and for dessert and for dessert a delicious bougatsa with cinnamon ice cream and creamy custard. We were thrilled with everything and will definitely be back.

    Great restaurant and should have gone there sooner/upon opening! We sat on the patio and the patio and restaurant are beautiful! Nelson was a great server. I started with the Hera's Elixir - great drink. We then enjoyed the Breads & Spreads (loved the tarama with black caviar spread and asked for extra to go home with us!) and Cheese Croquettes (great fig and raisin chutney to cut the richness of the cheese). Both were excellent and would get again. Entree was the Moussaka with a side of Charred Cauliflower. Again, both were excellent. Then two desserts - the walnut cake and the deconstructed baklava - to end the meal.
