We stop taking day of reservations after 4pm. Please call the restaurant after 4pm.

Parties of 4 people or more please email the restaurant. We are a small restaurant with only 22 seats and cannot always accommodate larger parties.

Established in April of 2015, The Taverna serves authentic Greek fare while remaining true to our Greek roots. Our menu highlights what is available to us locally and seasonally. Our wine list is one of the largest all Greek wine lists in the United States which features natural, orange and organic wines. We offer a unique dining experience that can only be found in a few select locations in the country. We welcome you to our little Taverna in Brunswick!

I can’t believe this wasn’t on my radar. I’ve lived adjacent to Brunswick for over six years and only recently heard about this place. It was easily the best meal I’ve had in the area. I am a chef and although I’m not overly critical when I dine out, I am often not overly impressed either. Taverna exceeded my expectations and we will definitely be back.

This is a special place off the main street of Brunswick perfect for a date or a small gathering. It's like being in a Greek friend's kitchen. I went three times this summer and each meal with wonderful. Don't miss the zucchini fritters. The wine selection is unique and delicious. Everything is super fresh. Make a reservation and head over!!

Fantastic restaurant. A new favorite. Was sold the first time, fell in love the second… will be back. Unpretentious, not fussy in the least. Well-executed, the passion and attention to detail is strong in almost every dish. Fantastic wine selection. Service is attentive, personable, and extremely helpful, great hospitality. This is a place to enjoy being in the moment.

Wonderful! Best Greek food we’ve had outside of NYC and even then it’s right up there with the best. True Hidden Gem in Brunswick, Maine!

The staff was very attentive in this quiet atmosphere and a welcome break from the local seafood restaurants. My lamb chops were moist and flavorful- maybe the best I’ve ever had. We enjoyed the zucchini fritters and a first rate soothing cream filled baklava for dessert. The wine selection is first rate. A very high recommend all the way around for an authentic ethnic dining experience.

Excellent meals and appetizers. Lamb chops and grilled swordfish. The Greek only wine list is very interesting and good; a little pricey. The baked feta with sesame seeds and a touch of honey appetizer/salad was very different and delicious.

My only complaint about this wonderful, small restaurant is that there was no air circulation. Food, staff, ambience were all excellent. From the minute we entered and were seated, we were taken care of beginning with an excellent wine suggestion and ending with a yummy chocolate mousse. This place goes way beyond moussaka and retsina, though I'm sure both of those options available here would've been delicious. We decided to sample what a waitress recommended and we were well rewarded. make a reservation today!

Great service greeted us upon arrival, and throughout the meal! They helped us select the perfect wine to pair with our entrees. We started with the Fava-Santorini, which I savored also during my entree. I enjoyed the sea bass, which our server cautioned was the whole fish with the head and bone. Though this added a slight challenge, it was well worth it! The fish was so flavorful! My guest enjoyed the octopus with a side of potato - so good! We both splurged with homemade Pagota-Mastiha Ice Cream which was creamy smooth with a delicious and interesting flavor. We've been many times and will return again and again!
