We had a lovely evening. The restaurant called, as they saw it was a special occasion, and asked if we wanted a bubbly toast or a plate of cookies. Since we were there to celebrate my adult daughter’s birthday we chose the bubbly toast. She get so honored when the server brought 4 glasses of champagne and wished her a happy birthday. The food was amazing but even more importantly we were never rushed and could enjoy the entire evening. I highly recommend this place all the way around!

Everything was good, just not great! Eating dinner at Taverna seemed to once be more special a few years ago, the menu seems a bit stale to me and the service just isn’t quite as good as it once was.

We had a wonderful meal at Taverna and the service was absolutely fantastic from the minute we walked in the door! They seated us early, did not rush us during dinner and the short rib dish was amazing!

first time here. Very impressed. Staff knows what they are doing. Great recommendations and wine pairing by Server. Had older folks with us and staff was very considerate and kind to them. We went mid-week, so probably not so crowded and didn't experience the "crowd effect"/lack of attention that was included in some other comments. We loved the location, atmosphere and fun fusion cooking eclectic tapas. Will definitely be back!

Our party of 3 was seated at a prime outdoor table with Hunter as our server, as we requested. We enjoyed happy hour drinks and wine and split the shrimp, garlic, and chili appetizer. Our entrees were the house made ravioli and the hanger steak. All food and drink were delicious. All three of us had decaf cappuccinos for dessert -- one of the best I have had anywhere. Hunter provided expert service throughout. Highly recommended!

Nice place. Friendly staff. Just WAY too loud! When I read reviews, it was considered romantic. I would go to hang out with friends but NOT on a date. After listening to the patrons scream at each for 5 minutes we left

We enjoyed another yummy Easter brunch with a lovely server named Amani.... efficient, sweet and service with a smile!! We asked for more time to enjoy our apps and drinks before putting our brunch order in and she gladly accommodated us!! Our favorite at Taverna, Liam, was in the back and he took the time to make sure he said hello via our server. Great customer service!! Liam, along with Amani, made sure we had our usual fabulous meal and dining experience at Taverna.....we will always come back again and again!!!
Went for Easter brunch. My 3 egg omelet was nothing to write home about but the salad it came with was outstanding. My daughter got 2 eggs, lemon pancakes, and 2 strips of bacon - it all looked good and was plenty for her. My mimosa was delicious, the Ramos Fizz wasn't my thing, and the martini was "ok." Our server was great and the rest of the staff was friendly and vibrant. Would definitely recommend.
Farm to table is my favorite dining style and the main reason I often choose Traverna. I love the ambiance and the food has a homemade presentation. The house made risotto with shrimp and scallops is my favorite right now.
Always quality food and good service. Mainly have gone for brunch but recently enjoyed dinner.
Taverna is one of our favorite places to dine in town! It is consistently good - from food to service to atmosphere and perfect for date night. We had an early dinner before walking down the street to the movie theater. You can use the movie stubs to return to Taverna for a buy one get one dessert or cocktail afterwards. Great neighborhood gem!

I came for my birthday dinner on 3/26, Bradly I believe was our server and he was the best. I’d totally come back just to have him again. Plus the food was absolutely amazing, it’ll be a goal to try everything on the menu

You could tell the Food was prepared by a real chef. All the ingredients melded together rather than overpowering each other. Definitely a Great experience.
Great lunch and delicious fungi pizza!
This has become one of our favorite restaurants when we are in the downtown JAX area. Been there four of five times and every meal (lunch or supper) has been superb. Service is always efficient and the menu and food preparation are outstanding. Parking can be a challenge with so many restaurants in the area but even that worked smoothly this time for lunch. Definitely go back again when we are in the area.
Service, ambiance, food, price, wine, menu choices were all highly satisfactory. We shall make it a point to return more frequently even if Taverna is not on a regular route around Jacksonville.

This restaurant was close to our riverside hotel, and highly recommend, so we decided to go for a late afternoon lunch. It was not crowded when we got there, so we were immediately seated. Outstanding service. The pasta and salad were delicious. Good choice. Left a package under our table when we left to catch our Uber out front. Our waiter found it, immediately brought it to the hostess, and she ran outside to catch us just as we were leaving. So impressed!
I have to admit, this was a first date and the first time I have been to Taverna. My date has life threatening allergies (but she’s super cute), so when we sat down, our server was nice enough to listen to my date’s needs and went to the chef to discuss options. The special of the night was a wonderful tile fish with a Mediterranean type of sauce. Fortunately, it was in my date’s criteria for survivability and absolutely delicious. I was so impressed with the meal and the service. I wish I could remember my serve’s name. She was excellent! Drinks were refilled quickly and she was very good at her recommendations for dessert. Both of us loved it and I have a feeling we will be back soon. Thank you, Taverna. It was a great first date.
