Service was terrible. When we sat down we got water right away, ordered wine by the glass and it took almost 15 minutes for the wine to get to the table. Then the waitress disappeared and didn’t come back to the table for 20 minutes. Appetizers came out immediately and we’re good but it took almost 30 to 40 minutes after the appetizers for the main course to come out. Guitar player was playing enjoyable music, however the sound volume made it such that you could not hold a conversation at the table. We have been there 3 or 4 times before this, and doubt that we will ever go back
Three of us dined. Three different orders: Lamb chops, salmon, moussaka. All were excellent. The wait staff was very attentive. We celebrated a birthday while there'
They brought a dessert with a candle and sang "Happy Birthday." The only "kinda problem" was music began about a half-hour into our dining. The musician was located very close to our table. Had we known we would have asked for another table as one of us has a hearing problem.
great service and great food!!! recommend for lunch or dinner
Food was good enough but the moment our server discovered that we were not drinkers her attitude changed and so did the service.
Food was awesome and there was plenty of it! Service was good! Highly recommend!!
I was very disappointed with the menu and in the end the food. Almost all Greek restaurants I frequent bring pita and hummus to the table complementary. Here they charge $15 for a basket (no refills). The menu was large but explained what some of the dishes are poorly. The Spinach Pie was sub-standard, the gyro's were only so-so. Service was good but we did need to ask twice to get tea refills. Would not go back.
Been here many times. Bought new friends here for the first time. Restaurant was empty. There was a private party in private room. Had to wait a while for someone to come to take drink order. Waitress did not know Retzina wine???? We ordered appetizers and were then told we could not get zucchini chips because fryer was not working. This is a restaurant. How could fryer not be working. So for dinner we could not get lemon potatoes for same reason. Was very disappointed. Have to say this is first time I have come on a Tuesday night. Usually dine here on Friday or Saturday night. Huge difference in service and ambiance. Won’t return if not a Friday or Saturday.
Our server made our experience a bit awkward. Just a lot of awkward silence. Next time we go, we’ll ask for James who was an amazing server for other patrons.
The bartender was engaged in an inappropriately loud conversation with two other patrons (F- that guy, F this F that); and kept messing with her hair. Thanks but no thanks.
We may go back but it won’t be right away.
Food was excellent. Waitress was fine. Kitchen was horrendous. Took over an hour and half for entree to be served. App came right away and then we sat. Table behind us left after app. Reason given was there was a large party. Regardless, the kitchen should not be functioning that the remaining customers should have to wait this long. Manager or owner never showed up to our table either. Makes one wonder if they then cared.
We have been to Taverna Evia several times since they opened but this time we went specifically to have the “Village Tour” as recommended by several people I know. The Village tour is a meal for two people that is a steal at $28/pp. The very attentive and friendly waitress first brought us tzatziki & keftedes (2 delicious large Greek meatballs) and a platter of pita and more tzatziki, then a large Greek salad. The entree platter to share was: lamb chops, chicken skewers, loukaniko (sausage) & gyro that’s sitting on lemon potatoes with a side of green beans and carrots. Finally, she brought a plate with 3 full size Greek desserts. Everything was delicious and there was enough food to take home another full meal for two. This was Saturday night so there was a guitar player playing acoustic soft rock music that was very nice. Highly recommend!
The bartender Lucas made our night, he made the recommendation and we loved everything that he recommended. He makes the best martini. Definitely ask for Lucas when you go.Overall it was a great experience.
The lunch menu has alot of selections at reasonable prices. I would recommend the grilled chicken souvlaki platter but everyone that ate loved their selection. Our waitress, I am so mad I forget her name, was awesome.
The first few times we were there they put humus and pita chips in the table. One of the people ordered lamb chops and they were raw. By the time he got them back everyone had finished eating. The music was very loud an could not talk.
We had a wonderful night. 4 adults 2 children (8,10). Everyone loved their meals, server was very sweet.
We had a wonderful birthday dinner!
It its always a pleasant experience. We can't wait to return.
We had an awesome family dinner. Service and food was excellent.
The prices were very reasonable for lunch. The food was outstanding & the waitress was very courteous as well.
Fantastic ambiance, great plate combination, really good taste. Authentic greek
We had an excellent meal, James was a great server and the prices were reasonable. Four of us each had a different dish, and we were all thoroughly pleased. Definitely, a great place. We will recommend it to our friends, and we’ll be back.
Awesome food as always.
Family dinner. It was amazing!
Everything was excellent except one dinner came out 20 minutes later than everyone else’s.
This was my second time at this restaurant, but this time it was for lunch.
Great food, great service, always enjoy lunch.
It is always great dining experience here. Our server was attentive. Answered all our questions. Checked in on us frequently. Only complain this time was that I was out celebrating my birthday with my husband and daughter and he was never told. It’s okay. We ordered the village tour anyway so it came with dessert.
We love this place. For unique and delicious Greek food, this place is for you.
Food was okay. I asked for a dish that had shrimp and scallops, orzo, vegetables... I got a sea of orzo, 3 pieces of small shrimp and 2 of small scallops for $28. The margarita ordered ($12) was subpar- best to stick to beer and wine. Nice music and we were happy to meet with old friends that we haven't seen in a long time but not even the dessert helped - it was like something I would try to make at home not really know what to expect. Looking for another Greek restaurant.
Fantastic Mediterranean delacies; absolutely delicious fare. If you like lamb; the lamb shank is tender and falls off the bone. The shrimp appetizer; flaming melted cheese is awesome and vegetables fresh. Dessert; they were out of rice pudding, but the custard filled pastry was a great second best. Enjoy. A special thanks to Chris for seeing to a great meal for us. ENJOY 😉
This was our first time at the restaurant which was hopping for Fathers Day. The food was great, and the menu had something for everyone in the family. As busy as it was, the service was very attentive. We coming back to try other things on the menu.
Have eaten here many times. Nice new menu. The shrimp and scallops I was told tasted better than the other older choices. I had the filet kabob which is what I always order. Usually the fill in Veges , pepper mushroom and onion and tomatoes are recognizable as they usually are nice and crisp. This time is was pure mush , unrecognizable as any food item nor taste. The meat was perfect , otherwise I would have sent it back Rice was mushy and too wet. . The waitress was wonderful. Local Sorings college student who was very friendly and accommodating, and she said she had only been doing the job for a short time . Give her a raise!
We will come back but he manager needs to check the food at in the kitchen.
excellent everything, from start to finish, great night
The quality of the food is always consistent, as is the level of service. I am looking forward to my next visit.
Awesome lamb shank with orzo, grilled octopus and live guitar music.
Service great food was ok not as good as the first time we visited
Second time thereService was excellent and staff brought out comfy chairs from inside to sit on while we dined outside. Very nice ambiance. Our Zucchini chip appetizer was excellent as was the beet salad. Had the Greek salad last time and it too was very good.
The main courses of fish, and moussaka were very nicely prepared and tasty.
As far as value, prices are on the high side.
Will return for another nice night out and excellent food and service..
Would highly recommend.
I had eaten at Taverna Evia over half a dozen times, and always got great service. However, my last visit on a Wednesday evening was a real disappointment. Although The food was still great, the service was mediocre. The appetizer was served family style, but no plates or silverware, despite the fact that the main dining area had no other customers. I had to argue with the waiter about getting the bread platter; he said it was not being offered anymore, even though I intended to pay whatever it cost. My guest never received her salad. The waiter said she canceled it, but she did not.
My husband, best friend and I were craving some healthy and tasty Greek food and we found Taverna Evia on Open Table so we decided to give it a try. So glad we did!!! The food was excellent and very well priced and we could not have asked for better service. Our bartender Lucas and waiter Justin were friendly, fast and made our evening .
It was like having dinner with all the family and friends you actually like. They kept our drinks flowing and the table full of wonderful food and drinks. Lucas makes a mean Martini and Margarita. Delicious!! Everything from the salads, fresh breads and seafood platter came to our table hot , well seasoned and delicious! We will be back. The place is clean and it’s a great atmosphere for a date or a large family gathering.
My son’s 30th Birthday dinner was amazing. Food was delish and service was prompt.
Lucas the bartender made the best cocktails.
We will definitely go back. It is now one of our favs in Coral Springs.
