Was my first night in Buckhead and this was a perfect restaurant to celebrate moving to this city to start a new job.
Our first time there, and at peak dining hours the wait staff handled things fine. The food and cocktails were very good, and the lively atmosphere did not distract. We'll be returning.
Taverna is a weekly go to for us. Everything on the menu is amazing! We also love all the staff and bartenders!
Sitting was very cramped. Climate control was super hot. Limited drinks available. Oysters had a terrible taste. The sits were very uncomfortable. We left after the appetizer was tried. Waste of $60
Dante is one of our favorite servers. If you bring the kids they offer pizza dough to play with and keep them occupied. The chopped salad and burrata pizza are our go to orders and I can never pass up the blood Orange Margarita!!!!
Fantastic dining experience. Seth, our server, was great. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming and the food was delicious. We’ll definitely be back soon.
This little restaurant could easily be overlooked but it is some of the best Italian food in Atlanta. Love the semi-outdoor setup--you can enjoy being outdoors while still feeling separate from passersby. They have a nice looking bar though we have not tried that area.
Restaurant was very loud, which was okay, it was a Friday night in Buckhead. Service was very good, understanding and knowledgeable. Drinks were good too. What was unacceptable was the food. The Chefs “Focaccia” was not Focaccia, it was just naked pizza dough, turned out to be a cracker type of thing rather than chewy, airy, focaccia. The Risotto was also extremely disappointing, the shrimp tasted off and it was over cooked to the point where you couldn’t even see the rice grains. It was more akin to a porridge at that point less than a risotto.
This was for a very special anniversary too, highly disappointed.
Very much enjoyed. Little loud for easy conversation. Serving outstanding
We had an amazing night. The food was excellent and came in a timely matter. Everyone’s dishes were excellent. The salmon was cooked perfectly!!! We will be back
First visit, outstanding. Great food, great service, and great atmosphere
Food and service were great!
Really struggling with service as manager was mopping the floor, servers were not able attentive to guests. Bus person was picking up on cues but had to get servers to take orders etc.
Service was slow. Took too long to get cocktails and one had to be sent back because it was mixed improperly. Waiter was nice but inattentive (inexperienced and/or poorly trained). Food was okay but not good enough for the the price.
Service is excellent!!! Nick & Nick always make sure our group is taken care of!!!
Beignets and mimosas brunch.
Perfect pairing with awesome service and a nice atmosphere.
Drinks and food came quick. Service overall was good.
Great food and great drinks - music was a bit loud as we were seated by the door and the bar but otherwise fantatic
Great food, great vibe, and great service. Was Friday night so it was noisy but we could still talk and dine. Server was really good. Prompt and attentive. Food reminded me of the Italian food in London. Fresh ingredients, well seasoned and flavorful, and not overly filling. Portion sizes were like London too.
The food was delicious here! Drinks were very good as well.... nicely poured, great taste! The only issue was the time it took to be seated with an already called in and confirmed reservation. I'll be back for brunch!!!
The server was engaging though the service was slow. I'm not sure if they were short staffed or what but overall my experience was great. Fun vibes!
Food was not worth no where near what its priced at.
Great food and great service! The area was nice and the food was amazing.
Service was extremely slow. We sat at our table for over 20 minutes after being seated before our server made an appearance. We ordered both our drinks & meal then & it was 30 minutes before our drinks came & over an hour before our food arrived.
We won't go back.
Everything is good, from the base level Spaghetti, through the short Rib and Fettuccini, and the tiramisu. I know I am leaving out a lot from the menu, but again, you cant go wrong with anything. And let not forget the wine. clear and bright ambiance and great energy throughout.
The food is delicious and the environment is awesome!
Regularly here with family and friends. Always great. The staff is attentive, friendly and the food is always great.
Nick provided amazing service for brunch. It was our first time dining here and he made great suggestions and knew the menu well. He was very attentive and provided great service. The food was awesome! I will def return.
It was a good place
To me the most important thing is the food and unfortunately besides the pizza everything else was gross. I don’t say that lightly, we were a table of 5 and 4 of us pushed our food around on the plate and took little bites so as not to be rude.
One person was GF and the pizza was completely burned and charred. Dough was some premade pizza pie and did not taste good otherwise.
On top of that the service was bad. We had to search out our waiter for water or drink refills and orders were wrong or didn’t get put in at all.
Cool location, decor and theme but that doesn’t make up for the food and service.
Service was slow, food was not hot. It tasted okay but would have been better had it actually been served hot! It was very loud on a Thursday night. Also, we were seated on the patio and the chairs there are a cane or wicker. Not the most comfortable.
Overall was a solid dining experience. Food was noticeably salty though
Our overall experience was great but our server was excellent.
Great food and service but a bit loud which make sit hard to hear. The Blood Orange Margarita is way too sweet.
The chef's special of Short rib fettuccine was amazingly delicious!!!
Taverna has been a favorite of ours for a couple of years. We had a party of 6 for a birthday celebration. The food was average and the server was busy and frequently inattentive. I had also requested a patio seating in advance and was told they weren’t seating anyone on the patio. Within 15 minutes of our seating, 3 other parties were seated on the patio. Overall the experience was disappointing & underwhelming.
Food took forever. Waiter only stopped by 3 times - once to take the order, once to deliver the food, and once to process the bill.
Manager and staff are not welcoming, but the food is good. I had a reservation for 2:30 to participate in the mimosa special with friends over the weekend. It ends at three and we didn’t get seated until after 3pm because the manager didn’t want us to sit at a certain table. (Quite odd if you ask me) So they didn’t honor the mimosa special for us and the service was very slow for my particular party.
Always a great time at Taverna!
Our wait stud was amazing!
The food was delicious!
The ambiance was the best!
We’ll be back…again!!!
It was good, but there is an opportunity to pay more attention to details. My poached eggs were well done and my hash was skimpy on the brisket, mostly potatoes. Shame cause the food was flavorful. I will go back but won’t order that again.
