Risotto con Burrata
burrata, roasted heirloom cherry tomatoes, basil and crispy prosciutto
olive oil crushed potatoes, spicy tomato confit vinaigrette, garlic chips
roasted beets, mache, spinach, toasted hazelnuts, orange wedges and goat cheese with honey champagne dressing
No comment. Mask wearing for Covid was inconsistent - needs to always cover nose, mouth, and chin without gaps!
I visited Taverna on Friday and came back this Sunday. I really enjoyed my experience with Andrew, Audrey and the new guy from the Carolinas here to start his music career and the young lady that was his trainer. The service was impeccable, genuine and personalized. Also, shoutout to Chris who I believe was the manager. I will always come to Taverna to enjoy wine, and dessert
Food had zero seasoning very bland
Great spot. Love dining on the patio. It started to rain and they have electronic clear curtains that lowered and kept us dry. Awesome.
It was a little hot in the patio. Possibly the fans were out of service.
Great brunch !! Love the pasta
Food was very good. Unfortunately our server was lax. We had to ask for her to return to our table twice. One wait was 30 minutes.
Management was wonderful and everything about dining at Taverna was phenomenal. We had great service and food. I'll definitely go back regularly.
We had a great time and fonner. Our server was great too. Very informative and good energy. The only thing that surprised us is they had no social distancing due to Covid19. It being June 2020 as we just reopen the city that was shocking. We had reserved an outside table and got it. If not for that, we would have had to leave as they left no space between tables in side or out.
Waitress took our order for appetizers, entree and drinks. Drinks took a while to come. My appetizer of mussels came without the bread. Entrees were served, we moved the unfinished appetizer plates to the end of the table to show we were finished but they were not picked up. No steak knife was given to me, had to them wait 10 minutes. Half way through entree I was asked if I wanted more bread. I told waitress I was never given any. She apologized and said some would be arriving (for my mussel shells sitting in cold tomato empty shells). We both finished our entrees, a plate of 4 pieces of toasted ciabatta bread arrives. Then 5 minutes later another 2 pieces arrived. I tried to get the attention of the manager sitting a few feet away but he had spent about 25 minutes talking to two ladies eating at another table. My waitress comes back and asks if we would like something else. I told her I didn’t understand why I am receiving bread at the end of my meal. She apologized and asked what she could do. I asked for the desert menu. The manager (Chris) then arrived at the table to apologize and asks if he can get us something. We told him what deserts we wanted so he sent over the waitress. She took our order. She finally removed our plates but still left the mussel shells on the table!!!?????Our deserts arrived. We finish our deserts and then the mussels are removed. This is not acceptable at all. We were eating on the open patio. You can imagine all the flies we had to keep away from the fishing smell hanging around. We were not impressed with the service from this restaurant for Father’s Day dinner. Not happy at all even with the desert being compt.
Always good! We will be back with friends July 2.
Perfect date night with the hubs. Awesome food and service!
It was an amazing first time at Taverna. Our server, I cannot remember her name, was phenomenal and checked on us multiple times. Our food was sent out in a timely manner and the taste was sublime! Definitely coming back!
Excellent Meal Every Time! Can't wait to go back!
Perfect atmosphere, attentive servers and if it’s your Birthday you get a free dessert!
Food was great. Service was not as attentive as it should be.
Amazing and our server was such a sweetheart! Thanks!!!
The food was good but we had a very inexperienced waiter.
Great food! Great staff! Great ambiance!
Good food, horrible waiter
We ate at Taverna the first night they resumed in-room dining. Our meals and service were outstanding. Staff wore masks the entire time and used hand sanitizer often. Everyone was safe, and it was great to eat at a restaurant again.
Appreciated the fact that they were open on a Sunday. Obviously not many people were out which was sad. But service, food and drinks were what we typically have come to expect. We had a very nice time and wish everyone the best in this trying time
Great gluten free options! Our server was great! Will be back.
Service was perfect and food was very delicious. My wife and I liked it so much we came back the next day for brunch.
Our server, Jack, is one of the best servers we have ever experienced anywhere. His attention to every detail and knowledge of the menu and wine list is a new standard. We had an enjoyable dinner complimented by Jack’s service ... a perfect evening!
We’ve gone to Taverna several times now, both brunch and dinner. Great location, nice food and good service. Recommend sitting outside if the weather is nice.
I think our server must have been new. We felt rushed to place an order even though the restaurant was not busy. He had a hard time opening wine. On second bottle of wine for the initial tasting of the bottle he poured in on top of existing wine in my glass instead of bringing a fresh glass. We had to ask for silverware when our meal came. We had to ask for bread 3 times. When entrées came out mine was lukewarm. We will not be returning to Taverna. Atlanta has too many good restaurants that are better than Taverna.
Our waiter was amazing! Food was also great, as usual.
I arrived, it was not crowded at all. The host wanted to sit me at this tiny 2 person table (was expecting a guest). I asked if I could move to a nearby half-booth 4 person table. He says okay, but he will need to separate the 2 tables as they were expecting a crowded restaurant that evening. There was a 2 person party sitting at a half-booth 4 person table upon my arrival. Shortly after, a couple sits down to my left at a half-booth 4 person table; however, they did not separate their table. A little while later a 2 person party sits to my right at a half-booth 4 person table; they did not separate their table either. WHY WAS I THE ONLY ONE THEY WANTED TO SEPARATE?!?!?!
Our waitress, McKenzie, was super nice however, they came within 5 minutes of one another so clearly there was no time in between to really enjoy each.
I had the Paglia E Fieno. The chicken was very bland and did not taste as if it was freshly cooked; perhaps sitting for a while then reheated. The dish only had 3 mushrooms on it and the sauce was not very creamy as I was expecting. I believe my guest had the Chicken Scallopine. Said it was good, just a little bland but very nice size portion. The bartender made Excellent Drinks!!!!!
At the end of our meal, the restaurant was not fully crowded as there were numerous tables still available so still not sure why the host wanted to have us at a tiny table, which clearly would not have been large enough since we had 4 plates on the table at the same time & 2 drinks as well as 2 waters...Was It Because We Were not caucasian?!?
Chuck the manager is amazing and Jack
Is the best server. Food is great
Given weak seating location on a cold patio near door and hostess stand. On a Saturday evening there were many many tables with super young kids (high chairs). This seems like a good family spot.
Food was average (ok). Pizza not exemplary. Wine pour amounts (by the glass) were a joke on the value scale.
Bar design and restaurant design are super nice and high end. If you’re a couple, sit at bar, it’s the only way to hear yourself.
great service and LOVE the ambiance! however, the margarita pizza was NOT margarita pizza! it was literally cheese pizza with basil STRIPS? very confused for authentic Italian food. However the gluten free crust is yummy! just stay away from ordering the ‘margarita!
All of our three meals were delicious! The GF pizza crust is actually good and crispy. Great place to lunch with friends and nice to be able to hear each other talk!
The food had very little flavor. My husband had a pizza and I had eggplant parm. The skin on eggplant was too tough to chew. We waited an hour to get food there was issue in kitchen. We asked about the issue 3 times and finally the manager advised of the kitchen back up and comped a beer. We also asked twice for bread and had to ask multiple times for water refills. Maybe it was an off night but for the price we won’t return anytime soon.
