    We arrived at the hotel an hour before our reservation only to find that the restaurant was closed for the evening. We ordered pizza via Uber eats. Needless to say, our first evening in key west was not what we were anticipating.

    Had a reservation. Place was very busy, restaurant was understaffed for sure. Our server had a 9 table section. Waited 15 minutes to get greeted then another 10 minutes for the specials and drinks. Once we ordered food things progressed but we didn’t see much of our server as he was running like crazy. Had light bites and drinks and were sticker shocked by the price.

    Extremely disappointed ! Thinking since we made thanksgiving dinner reservations we would be sat in the dining room. Unfortunately that was not the case. We were sat at a single bar table and were told we had to sit side by side. We are 2full grown men and you want us to sit side by side on a single size table ? Yes , all the reservations are assigned a table a can not be changed is what the Hostess told us. Then a gentleman named Phillip after asking if we were staying at the Marriott or were local ( which we are local and frequent Tavern and Town often) suggested we sit at the bar. ( not quite how we wanted to spend thanksgiving sitting at a bar). Or sit at another bar table right next to hostess stand. The server was very pleasant but unfortunately the food was luke warm at best. The 3 little thimbles of extra gravy that we had to ask for at least warm the dish a little. All together we feel it was a complete waste of money and shocked that this is how Tavern and Town treat locals on such a beautiful holiday.

    The food was perfection. The service was very poor. Our server forgot bread, charged us for an item that was supposed to be comp, never once checked in on us and never brought us coffee we ordered, without apology. She appeared preoccupied and completely inattentive.

    The food was very good but pricey and market value should be told the amount when the waiter takes the the order for either the filets or ribeye steak. $84.00 filets and $150.00 for a ribeye. He did give us a locals discount. The desserts were also very good.

    One of our favorite restaurants on the island for a traditional, “adult” atmosphere. Great Happy Hour with attentive service and wonderful options. Dinner is always fantastic regardless if we get the seafood, steaks, chicken or vegetarian entree. The banana cheesecake is the only dessert I’ve ever had there and it’s perfect with a nice cup of bold coffee. We definitely recommend it for any special occasion or just a quiet night out.

    We have eaten here every time we come to Key West. While the service was good we feel the food was not up to the level it was a few years ago. The meat in the Ribeye Steam Bums was dry and tough. The fish of the day was barrel fish; while the pasta and vegetables were good the fish was over cooked and dry. My husband always wants to go here for their prime rib but felt tonight’s was not up to par.

    One of my favorite restaurants. We’re local, so we go often. Never disappointed! We celebrated my birthday. My husband and I got the prime rib. It was cooked to perfection. Our friend got the snowy grouper, also cooked perfectly. Great birthday celebration at a great restaurant!

    Good food 🍗 and drinks🍸are to be found at this nice staple of the beautiful airport neighborhood of Key West. Though rhe real star 🌟 of the show is their wonderful music of The Great American Songbook 🎶, presented live here on selected fine evenings. There are also some good guest singers🎙 in the audience, and they ought to be welcomed - up by management .

    Our waiter, Roy could not have been more welcoming or helpful. He was personable and considerate. The Southern Chocolate cake was worth the trip all by itself….delicious!! Parking was easy, the atmosphere was elegant and lent itself to the perfect birthday celebration. Thank you!

    Our experience at Tavern N’ Town was great! Sonya was our server and she was great, very attentive throughout our dinner. We had the charcuterie board and oysters which my husband said were great (I don’t eat those). Our kids split a pizza, I also got a pizza and my husband got the catch of the day which I believe was grouper which he enjoyed. The only thing I would complain about is it’s very dark in the restaurant and we needed the light from our phones to read the menus. It is a bit pricey, but I expected that ahead of time as I checked the menu beforehand due to my kids. Overall, we enjoyed it and would return.

    Tavern n Town can be a romantic place to go for drinks and appetizers. My experience was with my family. Kids love the pizza. But my prime rib was super fatty and lacked in flavor. If you are planning to pay $53 for a plate you expect excellent food.

    Went to Tavern N Town for my birthday Oct. 8 and had a great time. Service was impeccable, food was excellent, musician at the piano was first class & very talented. Also got to meet Carmen who sings there. What a great night !

    The restaurant was very dark and the music was very loud. The candle on the table wasn’t enough to light up the menu. We ordered the Florida lobster tail. It came out within 5 minutes which was suspect. It came with corn and asparagus for $55. It came out lukewarm. The sauce was a spicy mustard sauce, not the hollandaise that was described. Our server was busy with a table of 20+ so it took quite awhile to let her know that we were sending back the food. My husband ate his begrudgingly because he was hungry. We are foodies and have eaten at all kinds of restaurants with all kinds of price points. This was disappointing to say the least.

    We tried the September Tasting Menu and it was incredible!! Raif was our server and did a great job creating a memorable experience for us. Hunter served each dish and told us the ingredients we were about to taste! This reasonably priced tasting menu is perfect and provides great portions! Also Happy Hour made the evening even better.

    This is an upscale dining experience. Service was excellent. Our server had great recommendations to help us, he was patient, listened to what we were thinking, and offered suggestions to satisfy. The food was incredible, timing spaced out accordingly. We will definitely return on our next visit to Key West.

    My husband and I celebrated his Birthday and had an excellent experience at Tavern n Town. The service could not have been better and the food was delicious. It was quiet, peaceful and we had a great time. The ambience was wonderful. Highly recommend Tavern n Town.

    Firstly, the restaurant was so dark and gloomy that we had to read the menu with the lights from our phones. However, our waiter was the real issue. He simply didn’t care or want to be there. I think that – the restaurant now being empty – he just wanted to get of home. After giving us the meus, he started to leave, so I called out if there was any ‘specials. “Oh yeah”, he said, then raced through a few additional choices, then wondered off. After receiving our starters, the waiter never bothered to come back and meal-check us. This was particularly prudent as my wife’s G&T was too strong for her to drink, and we wanted it put into a tall glass and just topped-up with some more tonic. Should have been easy. I tried to get his attention several times but he just swanned past without looking in our direction. This may have been slightly forgivable if he was busy, but we were the ONLY table in the restaurant. Eventually, I got up and walked to the bar area where he was idly chatting to a couple of the bar staff, and asked him to alter the drink. He said that this was no problem. About 2-3 minutes later he reappeared and said that he was sorry, had made a fresh drink and we didn’t have to pay for it; it’s complimentary. We thanked him. However, when the mains came, my food was delicious but my wife’s pizza was tasteless and the base was burnt. By now we’d had enough and just wanted to leave. When the bill came the G&T was still on the bill. When I questioned this the waiter looked genuinely surprised., and said, “but you had it”. I agreed, but reminded him that he said he’d given it to my wife complimentary. Again, he looked totally surprised and repeated that we’d “…had it”. Aghast, I said that if someone gives you something ‘complimentary’, then you don’t pay for it! He seemed not to be able to grasp this, so I just paid the bill and left. We chose this place as the reviews were good. Our experience couldn’t have been more different. Expensive and simply terrible, t
