Tavern In The Square - North Station
Since opening, North Station has been the go-to spot for Sunday football, Bruins, & Celtics games as well as other Boston Garden events. We offer patio seating with a comfy lounge for when the weather is right, a bar area surrounded by TV’s, & a dining room for a more intimate setting that is still close to the action.
We offer 50 beers on tap, seasonal cocktails with fresh ingredients & food that you & your friends will talk about all week. Be sure to come by for weekend brunch where we mix in classics with fun inspired new favorites!
Centrally located adjacent to MBTA’s orange, green & purple lines, our North Station location provides the perfect base camp for a fun day’s excursion into historic Boston or to have a quick bite & drink before catching your train home.

Great restaurant with fresh cooked awesome food and great service!
My friend ordered appetizers but they never got it
Awesome restaurant for walking distance from MBTA north station and to eat before TD garden show. Outdoor and indoor seating. Great menu something for everyone and prices great for Boston. Cocktails good too...would recommend
I had an enjoyable meal at Tavern In The Square. The service was great, as was the food. I recommend it as a great place for a pre-concert meal.
Food was excellent. My daughter has celiac disease and there were ample gluten free options.
Food was great, service was very attentive, exactly what we were looking for.
As always, very good food and service. We have 2 Celiac kiddos and appreciate their attention to allergies and ability for the kids to order most anything on the kids menu— they love when they can actually have chicken fingers and French fries! Adult food also up to standard! We will return.
Started off very slow, almost thirty minutes to get drinks at our table. 15ish just to get the waitress to show up. The wings and drinks came at the same time almost. The food was solid and the portions were great.
We went back two days in a row because we liked it so much! Thank you!
This place was INCREDIBLY LOUD. We could not talk to each other because the music was SO LOUD and other customers were SO NOISY. This was a terrible choice for our family at the end of a very busy, tiring day in Boston. I would NOT recommend Tavern in the Square -- North Station for any one.
The only positives about our visit was it's location is great. They are not wrong when they say "North Station." You come out of the North Station and it is right there.
Service was great!!
Great service and great food and tons of food for great prices
Very good service
Food arrive timely, still hot and was very good
I got there early and was made comfortable at the bar with ice water to cool off!
Tavern used to be our go-to spot but the food quality has been seriously declining on our past few visits. This time, our food was nearly inedible. Also, our cocktails came after our appetizers, even though it wasn't a busy time and bartenders were chatting among themselves.
I went for brunch. I love the food and the margarita drinks are very good and strong!
Good meal close to the Courtyard Inn.
Great food and service. Server was Michael.
My daughter was able to get delicious gluten-free food. The manager carried out her entree. Our meals were great too. Our waiter was so friendly and personable. This was our second time here and we’ll definitely be back on our next trip to Boston
wait staff and food and drinks are all beyond help. bring the outdoor sectionals back - there is no vibe or ambience outside. The wait staff was overly attentive bordering on nuisance.
Delicious. Our waiter did forget about us for a bit, he thought we were just ordering drinks but we wanted food as well. He was a great waiter though!
The server definitely needs more training before going out on the floor.
My friend who has celiac disease got sick from here even though they advertise gluten free
Great selection of Gluten Free food.
Our waiter was awesome he made sure we was ok throughout the night. We will definitely go back
Had great dinner, nice casual sports bar. Servers Evelyn and Sophia were friendly and efficient team.
We went for Saturday brunch. Good and drinks were great!
Server was nice, food was great, loved it! Great atmosphere to watch the euros
Wonderful food and wonderful service as always
Fun energetic place to watch sports. Excellent bartender Sophia delivered great food and beverages.
Great food and amazing service
Always had great experiences here, but the attitude of the host last night was incredibly off putting. A lot of eye rolling and sighing for asking to be seated at a high top as I’d reserved.
We went here before a Bruin’s game. Food was very good and considering the crowd that is there before a game the service was great. We stuck with beers and I had a salad and my husband had a burger and we were both pleased. Want to try their Saturday and Sunday brunch next. Great option if you are headed to the Garden.
Service was slow and food was average. The brunch menu seemed lacking.
Great place for a brunch date! Food was lovely!
Great atmosphere, drinks were awesome. Wait staff made me feel rushed. Gave me the check after 40 minutes.
Delicious and perfect outdoor seating! Would go back.
Service a little slow (but the place was very busy), and the avocado/strawberry salad had very large, uncut pieces of lettuce. The appetizers were great, however.
Great service… Tasty food...lively atmosphere .... cool drink menu.... A Great Night out !!!
They have a lot of gluten-free & vegan options to chose from. Delicious!
