Our appetizers we ordered before placing our meal order and our main course came out prior to the appetizer
Everything was great just a little pricey. Would go back.
Excellent appetizers! Love the bang bang broccoli and Buffalo cauliflower. My husband enjoyed his favorite… French toast with berries. Great casual atmosphere and always something yummy to try!
Always a great time at Tavern in Lowell
Always great food and service. It was very noisy but it was a Friday at 5:30 so lots of after work customers.
Excellent service! Menu choices are many and our selections were delicious. Appreciate the large patio for outdoor seating.
Nice place, attentive service, great drinks and good food
Booked outdoor table and they sat us inside near kitchen. Birthday brunch was ruined with sports TV WAY TOO LOUD. Had to shout. Drinks were bad and waitress made 3 mistakes with our order. Won’t be going back.
We visit often bringing family, neighbors, friends- so many outdoor choices for seating. Food is always great as is the wait staff.
I always enjoy going to the Tavern in the Square. I always get the same meal; the quinoa bowl with salmon and it is usually great. This time, however, it was barely ok. The vegetables were cold and soggy and the ingredients didn’t seem fresh if that makes sense. Anyway, I really like Tavern and usually my meal is great.
Went for a leisurely dinner with visiting relatives. Perfect place to eat and catch up! Wait staff absolutely incredible!!
We enjoyed a great brunch on Sunday. We miss the buffet but understand why it is no longer available . The food was good and the service was GREAT.
This Place was amazing the food portion was just right the drinks were really good , ended up getting a Margarita tower that’s for 3 or more people and let me tell you that was just enough for the girls I went with the drink it’s self was so big & very tasteful ! I would definitely recommend this place from the waitress down to the service was AMAZING 😊😊😊😊😊
Good food and especially service. Very friendly and helpful staff. Great atmosphere.
Made a reservation and was told to wait to the side while they found us a table. We were then forgotten about as 10 minutes later the same host said "you ladies waiting for something?" Got rushed to a still dirty and sticky table that we had to ask to have cleaned. Was told a seasonal drink was blackberry, when it came, it was actually a cinnamon type drink. Overall it wasn't a great experience for our date night.
Music system was way too loud.
Party of 3 had to yell to be heard across the table.
Constantly had to repeat ourselves.
Conversation was impossible.
Waiter said there was nothing he could do about it.
Towards the end of the meal we grabbed a manager and he was able to adjust the volume.
We were pleased he was able to do it because before that, we were thinking of not coming back.
One of the few chain restaurants we enjoy.
We enjoyed it! My husband had fish and chips, a generous portion of fish and enough fries for an army (which he didn't finish) I had the fish tacos, very tasty!
Great food and ambiance as always. Server was a bit snippy at times which was not appreciated. Usually service is great.
Food and Service was outstanding. And the prices are great!
We had an amazing time tonight! We had Jolena taking care of us, and she was amazing! We are so excited to come back on a regular basis, and ask for Jolena. We already booked our next reservation with her!
Great outdoor seating but picnic tables uncomfortable fir senior citizens and even with a reservation they were not accommodating in providing a more comfortable outdoor table which was vacant for the duration of our dinner
Nice outdoor dining set up, easy to get to, good menu!
We went for Sunday brunch, the children’s menu does not have pancakes, but they do have a short stack, the pancakes were great, the Kale and quinoa salad was good,.
The service was wonderful, the staff was knowledgeable and helpful, service was prompt.
Server was nice, food came out fast & was delicious. Just a little too loud but not really the restaurant just the other parties
Food was not great, salsa was tasteless and the fish tacos were not flavorful
Perfect!! Although we had someone training at our table she was perfect!! My friends and I thought she was training the other person. Will definitely be going back.
The food was delicious and beautifully presented.
My only concerns are Covid related. The hostess said the tables in the patio/bar area were six feet apart and they were not—perhaps 3 ft at the most and they seated a group right next to us so we were probably 2 feet from other people. The waitstaff and hostess were NOT wearing masks which is just seems irresponsible at this point. At every other restaurant I’ve been to all waitstaff was masked up.
The restaurant was very accommodating with our reservation request and our server never let our drinks run out.
There was a slight delay in service, management was quick to response and offer solutions - thanks
First time at this "Tavern". A great environment and ambience. Food was good, as it usually is at Tavern and came out quickly but server was quite slow in taking food orders, coming to get check, etc.
I had the best gluten free fish and chips ever! Our appetizers were great as well....so many delicious gluten free options!
We all enjoyed our meals. I recently had surgery on my arm/hand, and the hostess wanted to put us at a high top. She was accommodating with placing us at a table outside that was better for my arm. We were thankful. The outside dining area is very nice! The benches aren't so comfortable...maybe intentional to not have people stay too long. :) We will most likely return!
I usually go to tavern in the square in Lowell at least twice a month but honestly this place has been declining little by little. Last night I went for dinner and the food and service was horrible. I went for my birthday which the host new about as open table alerts them. Our food came to the table we had no side plates for the apps or silverware. We had to wave another Sever for this and other things we were missing. When we informed our waiter; Nathan. He responded with an uncalled for attitude. I can completely understand being busy and/or short staff but making someone aware of an issue shouldn’t come with a side of attitude.
Excellent outdoor seating area makes this a great place for meeting friends.
We were able to sit on their covered veranda. It was a pleasant experience. The service was attentive. The wait for food was pretty short. The check came quickly when we were finished. The menu was varied and had a lot of gluten free choices. The food was very good.
Tavern in the Square has a great ambience and fantastic food. The avocado strawberry salad is a must!
Wonderful food, awesome service, great ambiance! Our favorite date night spot! The house sangria is the best sangria I’ve ever tasted!
As regulars at tavern in the square Burlington, we expected the same hospitality and excellent dining experience we always have at tavern in the square, Burlington. Unfortunately this was not the case. We ordered coffee and when she came back a while later without coffee she said she’ was waiting for a new pot to finish, which would have been fine, ideal even if the coffee she brought us wasn’t like warm and very clearly old. After waiting a very long time for our food, one of the orders wasn’t what we had ordered. Our waitress informed us she accidentally rang in the wrong thing, which we told her was alright mistakes happen. She said the right entree would be out in “just a few minutes”. By the time the entree (which was just a fried chicken sandwich) came out, everyone had already been done with their food for a very long time. We expressed this to the man who dropped off the food (either a manager or host from his uniform) and he said nothing and just walked away. When she dropped off the check we were surprised to see she had charged us for the fried chicken sandwich we waited upward of 25 minutes for after everyone else getting their food. When we told her we were disappointed it was left on, she said she would talk to her manager. When she came back, lips pursed and rolling her eyes at us she said “yea he took that off” with a great deal of attitude and walked away without saying thank you or anything at all. As a server myself I understand it’s not always an easy job and can be extremely frustrating, but any server should have taken that off without being asked after waiting so long. We were kind and understanding to her the whole time and received only a bad attitude leaving us feeling unwelcome in return. When leaving, we said “goodnight thank you” to the three hosts who ignored us completely and continued their what seemed to be chatting. I will probably not be bringing my business back to this location after this experience.
Great service, great food, couldn’t have asked for a better experience!
Everyone loved the atmosphere and food!
