   Great food and great service. Watched the Celtics and Red Sox and enjoyed the atmosphere.

   good balance between casual and fancy, eclectic menu, good beer selection. our waitress was friendly and attentive. atmosphere was boisterous, sports games playing. still the place is trying to be elegant.

   Had lunch with my girlfriends. We had Ahi Tuna bowl, garden salad with salmon, and Thai chicken salad bowl. Everything was delicious! Service was great!

   We had a very disappointing experience at Tavern on the Square. When we arrived, the manager asked if we would mind sitting on the enclosed patio, assuring us it was heated. At first, it was warm, but within 10 minutes, the heat lamps went out, and it quickly became cold. Our biggest concern was for our elderly mother, so we politely informed the manager. She assured us it would be fixed, but after waiting 10 minutes, nothing happened. We asked three other staff members, all of whom said they would take care of it, but no one ever did—or even followed up with us. To make matters worse, our waiter was barely present, never checked on us, and showed no effort in making our experience enjoyable. My mother’s meal was missing its sauce, and despite asking two different people, it took a third—who wasn’t even our server—to finally bring it. The waiter never asked if we wanted dessert or even acknowledged that we were celebrating a birthday. The lack of attentiveness, follow-through, and basic customer service was incredibly disappointing. We will not be returning.

    It would have been nice if the table had been cleared after the appetizer for the main meals and then cleared after the main meals for dessert. Instead our table was covered w empty plates and empty glasses. Food seems to be consistent but the ratio of waiters/waitresses to tables seems very low. Maybe have some bus people to help. You have them deliver the food so have them clear the tables. Probably won’t go back or just order take out.
