We sat on the patio and the whole time it smelled really bad because of the dumpster nearby, there should definitely be some kind of light scented thing nearby to the table to avoid this.
Had the turkey carvery with tater tots! Absolutely delicious. Made reservations for mother's day and was seated right when we got there. Staff was so nice!
Although this breakfast was not my favorite meal, I have had many amazing meals here. I appreciate that the owners/chefs come out and talk to us. The servers are super nice too. Service was fast. I appreciate the many vegetarian options on the menu. Will be back for dinner soon.
Food was amazing and the free glad of champagne on Mother’s Day was very sweet!!
Service was poor. Wait time despicable despite reservations. Our waitress should choose a differ service career away from serving real people.
First time coming to this restaurant and I will definitely return
Imo best brunch in the twin cities metro area. I took 3 of my closest friends here this weekend and they are all planning to come back as soon as possible. Every dish was cooked and plated with perfection and the prices are very reasonable. I take my daughter there almost every other week by her request. Great staff and service. Only complaints are how it gets busy and having to wait a moment to be seated.
Other than waiting 15 for kids menu, good service. Always love the food. Burger was cooked correctly to order.
Early Mother’s Day breakfast
Tavern 4&5 is our “go to” favorite!
After months of carry outs it was great to be out once again - dining inside! Tavern 4&5 was at the top of our restaurant list. It was wonderful to sit at the bar and enjoy being in the company of socially distance fellow diners. As always the food and service were great. Easy to make an online reservation.
The food is always great, the service is friendly and comfortable, the ambience is warm and inviting. My favorite restaurant, and my #1 go-to with family, friends, and people I'm just meeting. I know we won't be disappointed. Thank you!
Food and service was great! It was freezing in the restaurant and kept asking them to close the front door. 5 minutes later door was open and freezing again.
Their food is always good. Menu has something for everyone.
Great service from host to wait service to food runners. The food there is unique and find to try.
Breakfast menu was very good, lots of variety, 5 of the six in our group had different things. Service was attentive, seating arrangement worked well.
Great spacing of tables and good food aligned to reasonable pricing
Food was delicious
Incredible food. Wonderful drinks. Great ambiance. Helpful staff.
Convenient as a good option for a neighborhood bar and grill.
Our server was very attentive to our needs. We had to wait 20 minutes to be seated beyond our reservation but they were very busy. My brisket burger was so juicy and delicious.
The food is always terrific here. It’s a neighborhood favorite. I have experienced a lack of parking spaces many times. I wish the restaurant and this shopping center lot would have more parking spots.
The only bummer was 75 minutes for dining time. It just wasn’t enough.
The meatloaf was fantastic. The service was great!
We had lunch including a couple beers. They have a continuously rotating tap selection so of course we get a few samples as well.
Asked for a high top for one but it was right next to the bar and with an overgrown loud 40ish woman on prom night apparently. Too loud and shrill to enjoy meal.
Overall fun, good food & drinks great place to meet!
Great place and food overall. Will definitely go again.
We met to catch up, we requested a booth in the bar, and they had one for us. It was in a great spot so we could do lots of sharing. The waitress was efficient, kind and thoughtful. Our food was exactly what we ordered and was delicious.
Neither of us cared for our breakfasts... Eggs Ben (hollandaise sauce was spicy and harsh and just could not scrape it off enough) and BWT omelette.. whatever the Bacon, Watercress, Tomato... was. Tomatoes were sundried and actually tasted sweet, overpowering everything. Hash browns were good. Great coffee. Excellent service. Next time would stick to ordering bacon and eggs but this will NOT be a "Go To" for breakfast. Very disappointing. 4&5 is a great place to go for lunch, cocktails or dinner though.
My sons birthday, we wanted a fun place to meet. Our server was so good, wish I could remember her name! She had the best suggestions to help with my gluten free diet. Will definitely be back!
Staff was exceptional! Drink and food choices were great too.
LOVE the place!!! Starting with the staff. They become like family. Food is outstanding. Great vibe.
My favorite neighborhood tavern of all time. Great food and friendly service. Great for a breakfast or lunch meeting.
Overall experience was fair, I always had great service and great food. I did not appreciate the time limit, we did brunch.
I did not appreciate the hostess coming to remind us of the time limit when we had not finished our meal yet.
Seated right away in the section behind the stairs. Felt like we were in a school cafeteria forgotten about... service was polite but super unorganized and didnt seem he was on top of the tables. Had to ask for things a few times, refills for coffee were not forthcoming etc. Food was subpar. Felt like Perkins would have been better.
Sad as I value a neighborhood place, but this was just churning tables and perhaps they were overwhelmed as they were busy and they have not been for some time... BUT.... ugh
This was our first time dining at a restaurant indoors since the start of the pandemic. We found this restaurant is doing a good job of managing COVID protocols and putting distance between patrons. We felt very safe, enjoyed the dinner out and would not hesitate to go again. We have always liked the food at Tavern 4 & 5.
Host/manager was stressed and it showed. I felt like I was an inconvenience to his day.
Service and food was decent. Bloody Mary looked amazing.
Wonderful service and food as usual.
