Great date place but also good for Families. Chip and dip appetizer was wonderful. Hubby raves about Wagyu burger and I had the French dip. It was all great. Attentive server.
The food was delicious and the server did a nice job of attending to us. The lights could be a little dimmer for a more interesting ambience. Overall very good!
We enjoyed the food and server!!! She was knowledgeable helpful and available!!!
The food came quickly after we ordered-- was hot and very tasty.
The only critique we would have is the noise level. It was a full house and VERY noisy!!!
A friends 50th birthday
Love this restaurant
for the price, food could have been better. Wedge salad had mostly hard yellow core. Ambiance/decor needs improvement. Noise level was very high. Service could have been more attentive.
Food was outstanding. Definitely get the steaks. The actual dining area lacks much atmosphere but the food makes up for it.
We went on New Years Eve and it was very crowded and quite noisy; however, that was not a concern on a previous visit. Service was friendly and efficient. We did not have appetizers but started with the house salad and the soup. I had Chilean Sea Bass and my husband had the steak and scallops. Both meals were prepared perfectly. The bananas foster dessert was a splendid ending for a special dining experience.
Lovely evening with friends. Great Happy Hour deals and great food.
Good food and good service by good people. What else is there?
New Years Eve
The bar area is lovely. The rest of the place has absolutely no ambiance at all. We waited over 15 minutes to have our order taken. Never saw the waiter again. Brussel sprouts were excellent, the Thai flatbread had no Thai flavors on it and the steak lettuce wraps had no flavor, very bland. I doubt I will go back.
Service was slow at times. Expected classier wait staff at a place like that, not half nude waitresses popping out of their uniforms.
This was really good food but restaurant area needs work looks like a big hall so we sat in bar area really cool place to sit service and food was outstanding highly recommend it
Absolutely wonderful! From the moment we walked in everything was first rate. The staff, the menu, the presentIon ...all perfect. And our food was amazing!
Great ambiance and energy!
Tavern 180 is one of our favorite places!
Actually had two additional friends join us for dinner... Obviously a new server... Three of the four IPads were dead... took her 40 minutes to replace... during that time, she lost a lot of opportunities to increase revenue with appetizers, cocktails and wine!
Server did not know if options were available for salad dressing(wedge) as I am allergic to blue cheese... absolute fiasco... too bad!
When entrees arrived, my wife’s salmon was essentially raw an inedible... the risotto was cold... the other entrees were just OK...
I assume that you were having a bad night... this was highly unusual based on past experiences!
I will not return!
Excellent as always, service and food is always amazing!
We arrived at Tavern 180 between football games and the regular night crowd. We had the place to ourselves. The waitress/bartender was very attentive, the food great. My wife is very appreciative that the staff provided us a wonderful anniversary dinner.
Had a great meal!
Delicious and great service. Great value for what you pay. This place is a must Dine for lunch or dinner
our server was not the best... he seemed very slow and not very interested in our group. For the price of the restaurant they need a more serving server with a great personality.
This is a very upscale restaurant. The food was great but the price did not match up to the service. Comparing to a Ruth’s Chris, it falls far short. For the cost someone should be watching your table like a hawk. Suggest ginger syrup for your Moscow Mules instead of the beer. Interesting to have the menus on iPads. It’s nice to see what you’re getting. Overall very nice, great food. Will I go back? Sorry. Too pricey for what you get.
Food was very good, but felt it was a bit over priced for what we had. It was our Anniversary, not a very romantic feel but enjoyed trying a new place. Server did not ask if it was a special occasion, but maybe it was our fault for not telling her. Overall good experience and very good food.
Business dinner with clients a few nights ago and it was terrific. Sat at the bar and the bartender - Lucas - did a fantastic job. He did not miss a beat service wise, and was engaging. Nothing lacked at this restaurant, and I have no hesitations recommending it.
My experience was a bit disappointing. 1st the name "tavern" generates thoughts of warm and homey... in actuality, not so much, a little on the sterile side. I looked forward to ordering a Wagyu Beef menu item, after seeing the menu on line, but was very disappointing... over cooked.
Love the iPad menu with pictures and descriptions of menu items. Food is always good, service attentive and ambiance pleasing!!
Room is noisy. need to reduce the sound level.................................................................vvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvv
Service was very good. Food was excellent, but a little on the pricey side. Noise from the bar overwhelmed the restaurant.
Food was wonderful. Drinks were great. We love our appetizers, the tomato soup was delicious and the steaks were tender and full of flavor.
We were looking forward to our evening here. There were only a couple of other tables filled in the entire restaurant but our service was absolutely terrible. One meal was completely forgotten about about. We hadn’t realized this and the rest of us waited to eat until everyone was served. By the time the waiter even came by to check on us - it hit us it was actually missed. And the rest of our food was cold. Service ruined the entire experience. Will not recommend or go back.
Jozlyn is a fantastic bartender. She worked to find the Balnton's bottle and she created a special Halloween drink for us to try.
Service was great, food was great, but price point is high for the amount of food you get.
Food prepared exactly as ordered. The steak was outstanding and the risotto was the best I’ve tasted.
My wife and I recently visited Tavern 180 during Omaha's Restaurant Week. They had a $40/person offer which included a salad, main course and dessert. Additionally the website indicated they had a $10 wine flight available. This all sounded great so we decided to give them a try.
Upon arriving at our reservation time, there was no one at the host desk, so we waited. After 10 mins, still no one acknowledging our arrival the next reservation arrived. It was at least a total of 15 mins before someone realized their lobby was unattended.
Upon being shown our table, we noticed the restaurant wasn't that busy and there were more than a handful of tables available. This wasn't a huge shock, this is not an inexpensive restaurant and it was a Tuesday night.
After digging through the iPad menu (ug - really, an iPad, isn't that trend over yet?) we found the menu for Restaurant Week. Of course it was missing the mention of the Wine Flight, and one of the desserts listed online had been changed.
It was at least 10 mins until a waiter asked about a drink order. I asked about the Wine Flight, he was unaware, excused himself to ask, and upon returning indicated that it was available and we placed our drink order. Drink came in a reasonable time after that - but then it was another 10 mins before he came back and asked to take our order. We spoke about the Restaurant Week specials - again he didn't have a clue, he had to consult the menu to even know what we were talking about.
After this our meal was pretty good. I had the 8 oz Wagyu Hanging Tenderloin and my wife had the Salmon. My steak was cooked perfectly, the salmon was cook, typically - which means overdone. It should have a rare middle, this was cooked all the way through.
We had desserts as well, and they were both very good.
Considering that a typical visit to this restaurant will cost a couple north of $120 before tax and tip, I felt the service was lacking.
The food was very good over all though.
Part of the menu was way overpriced but that was expected for this part of town. Some options where in-line with the average restaurant though.
Loved the seafood bisque.
Server was friendly and attentive.
Overall a good experience and with options for different budgets.
Tavern 180 has no idea what it wants to be. First the decor, it clashes with itself. Mix of modern that doesn't work. And the tackiest white tree planter in the middle of the dining room lit up with horrible blue florescent light. Very bad. The menus, while cool they are on a tablet and show nice pictures of most of the food and wine, there are a couple of issues. First the two of us dining had four different tablets because they kept dying and turning off. Second, who wants to touch a tablet that has been handled by countless others? Being in the restaurant business cleaning menus was always a concern and I can say by the looks of the tablets they were not cleaned between guests. Which in my opinion is a must. I'm by no means a germ a phobe but these tablets were not clean period. Gross.
For the prices they are charging you would expect service to be on par with 801 Chophouse or Mahogany Prime. The service was more like Applebee's. If you are paying $50 for an a la carte steak, service should be impeccable. I think this goes back to the restaurant not knowing what it wants to be.
Food, by far the worst caeser salad I've ever had. Zero flavor. Wilted lettuce. Soggy parmesan crisp.
Shrimp cocktail served with dry ice (over reaching in my opinion on the presentation) but the shrimp were huge probably U10 or bigger and we're perfect. So that was good.
Entrees. My wife's salmon was over cooked and not good. My steak while good and cooked properly lacked anything special to it.
Desert was clearly a bought cheesecake product but was fantastic.
If this place wants to be a spot like Mahogany then they need to make some serious changes.
If it stays the way it is it won't last long in Omaha.
We will not be back. Much better places to spend $200 on dinner and wine for 2 in West Omaha.
This was our first visit and will be our only one. I ordered a burger with fries and wanted it cooked medium. I received a steak medium rare. Just a steak. The staff were more concerned with a football game that was on then with taking care of the customers.
