   Wayne was amazing and he made the experience 5 star! The food was awesome, it’s a room, not lots of ambiance, dim the lights and out a candle on the table and that would help. A little pricey but excellent, would definitely go back

   This was perfect for our anniversary dinner! We had two appetizers, four different tasting size entrees, and two desserts. The portions were perfect and the food was delicious!!

   We made reservations to eat at the tasting room for our anniversary. When we arrived we were seated and were told there was a walk in group of 11 so the server would be with us as soon as they could. When our server came he was very nice and explained the menu and that he was training someone. We ordered crab cakes and drinks. They took a while to arrive and our server explained he wa supposed to be in the kitchen but they got that walk in so he was bar tender and now server so we understood why it took a while. The drinks (Paloma and rusty nail) were very good. The crab cakes were very squishy/moist but the flavor was good. For dinner we ordered tastings of lamb, filet mignon, scallop and ravioli, pork tenderloin and duck with sides of carrots, cabbage, green beans and spinach. Everything that was brought to us was room temperature. The scallop and ravioli and filet mignon were good, everything else was ok. Another large group came in so it took a very long time to get refills and dessert. The chocolate tort was also ok. When the server brought us our check he apologized for the wait explaining the short staff with the large parties. We are glad we tried it but probably won't go back.

   The wine was amazing and the salad was good. My additional food experience was just ok. The chicken was a bit over cooked, spinach had a lot of lemon in it. The lamb chop was good priced a bit hi for a tasting and only 1 lamb chop.

   The Tasting Room left us with a desire to return for another special night. I had Mahi Mahi and asparagus and my husband had pork tenderloin and carrots. Both meals were cooked perfectly with just the right amount of seasoning. We also had the charcuterie board for our appetizer which hit the spot and was appealing in both taste and design. Cheyanne was one of the best servers we have had at any restaurant. She was helpful and appeared at exactly the right times for refills on our drinks. We will definitely be back. The only problem with the restaurant is the decor on the inside that needs upgrading and the Omni Hut sign still being out front.

    2 Army veterans and their wives met for dinner. It was decided to look for a place with Tapas style cuisine for some shareable, interesting dishes.

    2nd time eating here, invited friends-they enjoyed & said they would tell their friends & family. I love the smaller portions. All items cooked perfectly and tasted fantastic-mushroom ravioli, pork tenderloin, crab cakes, mahi mahi, bananas foster, yum!

    This was our first visit but not our last. The staff were great and explained the menu offerings along wine pairings. The owner/chef came out to visit and advised to follow on Facebook for special events. This is a great little hidden treasure that we enjoyed.

    Absolutely fabulous as always. Food was spectacular and the service was as good as expected. The renovations to the restaurant made a huge improvement in the ambience and we can’t wait to return.

    We enjoyed a New Year’s Eve dinner at The Tasting Room. The tasting concept had a higher-end tapas vibe. It was recommended to get 3-4 tasting servings to equate a full meal. This allowed us to try several of the main dishes and sides. The prices were very reasonable for the amount we were served. This was our first visit and we are looking forward to coming back after the scheduled renovations.

    I really, really enjoy this restaurant … well, the concept, anyhow. The food is delicious and the menu is interesting, with some less common protein options. They have an extensive wine list, and nice cocktails to pair with different tastings. The dining room itself is… hmm… unattractive, bordering on downright ugly. I would love to get my hands on this place and help the space reflect the quality of the food. But, in the end it’s the food and dining concept that will win you over. The food never seems to be hot enough … warmer than room temp but not a hot as it should be for serving. That’s my only complaint about the food. I love trying new things and I’m horribly indecisive so being able to order multiple entrées is right up my alley! I usually order a tasting of an app, a salad, two entrées and share a dessert. Keep in mind that the tastings are roughly 2 Oz of meat with a very small veggie side. If you have a bigger appetite you can order a full size entree or a full selection of tastings. If the food was hotter it would be perfect… it’s truly upscale dining. This place has potential to be out of this world.. with an interior designer and marketing work, the tasting room will be THE best restaurant in Rutherford County!

    GO! A completely hidden gem tucked away in the middle of Smyrna! Cheyenne and Robert made this discovery an even brighter experience! Their presentation of the food and wine pairings made it really fun for us! There wasn’t a bad course all night and we ordered a broad range on the tasting menu, (food and wine) meaning we experienced way more flavors! We’ll be making this a once a month treat for sure!

    Wayne was amazing, the atmosphere was very cute and intimate. My drink was poured to perfection. I had the lamb chops and they were very taste. It’s my birthday so the dessert was my fav part lol. I highly recommend the banana fosters. All in all a 10/10 great service.

    Outstanding service as always. Good wine list as well. The chefs specials were on point as always, and I enjoyed being able to try meats that I had never had before. The ostrich and kangaroo were both quite good and I can’t wait to return to see what else the chef has up his sleeve.

    First time to try. Food was very good. Only complaint was filet and duck were over cooked. Lamb was wonderful. Ambiance was very lacking. Lighting and harsh tile.

    I took my husband and adult daughters to The Tasting Room for his birthday. The staff was friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. The food was incredible and well worth the price. My husband and I are already planning a return visit.
